If you have a ton of shit to trade in you get 50% extra at EB towards hardware so that might swing things in EB's favour.
Oh I have nothing unless they are willing to take a slightly used 360 with 20GB HDD.

Not sure about multiple clans at once but I doubt it, though it is easy to switch clans.
I'm loving the hunter. Tried all 3 classes and titan is my least favorite one. Warlock felt good for crowd control but Hunter seems to be the best one suited for both solo and group work.

I am blind or is there no option for native backing up in Windows 8 beyond File History and Storage Spaces?
Had last week off for E3, don't check Ausgaf outside of work, but here's my E3 summary.
VIDEO GAAAAMES. Destiny looks great, as does Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon, The Crew, No Man's Sky (hnnnnnnnnnggggg) and various others. EA dropped the ball, not much to show this year. Between Destiny and new COD there is no room for BF Cops for me. New borderlands looks like borderlands, which is good news.
Weird that MS felt like they had a better showing than Sony. MS just had games games games. Phil Spencer feels like a great fit. Smart to show Crackdown and bring the hype. Ubisoft had a decent presence. I might buy that exercise game for Kinect.
Nintendo might actually have a good 2015! Makes my decision to buy a WiiU when smash bros comes out easier. Mario Maker looked great.
Got my Xbone last Tuesday. Titanfall comfy couch mode is great, Forza 5 feels like a launch title, but it's growing on me. If I can get that Halo 1-4 for cheap I might bite, eventually. Wonder if the MP will stick around though.

As a book guy I was a bit disappointed it didn't end on the point I expected, with it instead kept for next season.
Yes last ep was amazing. I thought the battle was easily feature film quality. You could see they have plenty of money to spend now it's so popular.

They had to, book 4 is the slowest of them all.
Its funny that. I mean books 4/5 I really liked and some parts such the Dany story, its where I got into it. Before then I skimmed her chapters quite a bit.

Just ordered some HDMI cables from EzyHD and I'm planning on picking up a new AVR this week or next. With more consoles comes more HDMI ports needed! If I want my HTPC/WiiU/PS3/PS4/X360 all plugged in at once. Also I need a new AVR so I can get surround sound on the WiiU since Nintendo don't use Dolby or even have optical support.
Gonna cost $1300 odd to get WiiU/PS4/AVR but it will be worth it

Just got the Dell kit for my new job delivered (working from home). The monitor is 1440p and it is absolutely glorious. It's their u2713h model which is pricey, and not something I would have bought for myself, but if I don't stick it out at this job I think I'm going to have to. My old ~$500 monitor just looks so crap. I do fondly recall paying ~$1800 for a Trinitron monitor once, so ...
Apparently DVI is dead unless you can get the mythical dual DVI happening (not supported by this monitor). So's HDMI, apparently (though I hear a rumor that very new HDMI can support 1440p as long as you are very nice and don't ask Santa for anything else).

Recommendations for porters or stouts are welcome! I'm in love with the Feral Smoked Porter, but it's difficult to find. The local Woolies-attached shop has some Ferals but the guy said they'd be unlikely to get the porter in because the other Ferals don't sell. Which I don't understand given how freaking amazing Feral beers are
Currently drinking the 4 Pines stout which is very nice in a very average kinda way

I think you should be able to preorder on Amazon and redeem the beta code on a US account then play it on your AU account.
If that doesn't work you won't really lose anything. Just cancel the preorder

Founder's Breakfast Stout is popping up at specialist stores, and is a god tier stout. Also, Courage Russian Imperial Stout is equally impressive. Samuel Smith Imperial Stout also good.
For more local stuff, the Nail Oatmeal(?) Stout isn't bad (if you've $80ish to drop, the Nail Clout Stout is apparently crazy good). Holgate Temptress always a winner. Even the Coopers Best Extra Stout isn't bad. Oh yeah, not sure what style it technically is, but if you spot Stone & Wood's limited Stone Beer, buy it. Had the Lord Nelson Old Admiral yesterday which is alright, probably not a stout either but suits the season.

I'm a fan of Nail, and had several of theirs on tap at the Royston (I am really going to miss that place) - the Imperial Porter (yum!), the Dark Lite (meh) and their Rauchbier "Smokey Burns" (yum!). Haven't had the Oatmeal or Clout.
The Temptress was also one of my faves from the Royston. That's damned fine
Was not impressed with the Stone Beer. Others loved it, but there was something not right about it. Some said it was yoghurty, but that wasn't it. I just couldn't put my finger on why, but didn't enjoy it.
Thanks for the tips - I'll keep an eye out for those I've not had!
One of the big things I'm going to miss from the Royston is all the Saisons I had there. I've never seen them in bottle in stores

Haven't had this year's yet, but last year's was super smooth. They drop red hot rocks into the boiling wort (and then later). They instantly caramelise it, which I guess could put some off? I really liked it.
I'm yet to try that "stick a red hot poker in a glass of beer" thing, but would love to some time.
Oh yes, I have what I think is a nice choc milk stout right now that I'll bring if we have a board game thing soon.

urgh why do I always start studying for exams the day before they're on.
I have 14 pages of notes taken over the past 7 hours that I need to cram into a single double sided piece of paper.
At the least the last three years of exams are almost identical so I can just run through those tonight, sleep, skim them again in the morning and they'll probably still be in my short term memory long enough to regurgitate my answers in the exam.
... that's been the plan for the past three years, anyway.

Tonight's game of thrones ep has perhaps the biggest separation between book readers and show watchers in the show's history. Like always, the stuff they made up for the show was a mix of terribad and decent enough fanservice, but you can't help stopping and thinking why they added all this new stuff when they're cutting perfectly fine material from the books. And, like, I get that book 4 sucked. But that's not really a good enough excuse to actively make the book 3 seasons worse. Also, game of thrones, you don't need to go and fuck up every iconic quote from the books, do you? Like at this point they might as well stop saying "winter is coming" if they're that adamant about not confusing the viewers. They fucked cat, and whores, and probably moon boy for all I know.

God damn today has been fucking awful. Was at hospital until 2:30am because the wife thought our boy might have measles (he doesn't) and then he doesn't go back to sleep after that and trashed the whole fucking house.
During the day he lost/hid the dongle for my expensive Playstation Gold headset so now it's a $100 paperweight unless we find it.
The wife has been doing Neutrometics makeup parties and the boy decided to rub $50 worth of other people expensive bullshit into the rug. So we are up to $150 so far.
At this point I've closed myself off into the office and avoid looking at the piles of game discs scattered across the room lest I lose my fucking shit and kick a wall in >_<

My THRILLHO shirt turned up and it has a 1mm2 spot on the sleeve without the design on it, which is irritating as fuck because the design is purple and the white thread sticks out like dogs balls on it >_<

oh boy, shouldn't have had that much coffee so late in the day. And you'd think maybe I could be studying if I can't sleep, but here I am browsing the list of recent successful and unsuccessful kickstarters and trying to work out if the ones that succeeded are worse than my game, or if the ones that failed are better.
My conclusion is that I have no idea how people can make a game, over the course of a year, for only $10,000. Especially if your team is larger than one person, which a few of these seem to be.
On top of that I still need to do some thinking of what kind of model CBD is going to have later down the line. My default choice was just charging $5 or $10 for the game and have it be that, but I might just succeed in killing my playerbase. Alternatively I could go a free to pay model and charge people for custom skins + hats + other silly aesthetic stuff. If I decide I want to charge money for the "full game" (whatever that may be), at what point do I cut off my existing free players from being able to access new updates?
Or do I just have the KS pay for the game's creation, and not really bother actually making a profit from the game and have it as resume fodder. Saying "hey, I can make this kind of ambitious kind of functional kind of popular video game, but I have no idea how to make it financially viable! Please give me job making MetaCricket Review Spinulator 2016: Australia's 5/5 Star Talent"

I made a new US account on the PS4 to redeem it onto, which worked. I could play the alpha on my PS4 using this account.
When I tried to access the downloaded alpha through my AU account however, it blocked me. Even when I entered an AU alpha code on my AU account it wouldn't let me access the alpha that was downloaded through the US account, I had to delete it and download it all over again to play on the AU account.

I likely will Gaz, sometime later this year. I still have a semester of uni to worry about, before I should really even be thinking about human sustainability and video game margins.
Still, the prospect of being a one-man-band creator for a game is kinda scary. Means that every time I'm working on some aspect of the game, every other part of the game is making zero progress.

I acftually had a team with only 3 useless people in it. Which is way better than average. And all of our IS people were IS/Comp double degrees. Still can't believe they gave us an industry award for that capstone project.
