Speaking of JB, on their website the Breaking Bad Complete Series + Limited Edition is half price, easily cheapest I've seen the series if anyone's interested.

If anyone is interested in the Apple Watch Sports model. You can get the 42mm version for $369 and the 38mm for $329 on Kogan's ebay story using the CKOGAN20 coupon.

There's a bunch of different colours, including the space grey sports model.

Apple Watch Kogan

Remember when the jb hifi in town was nothing but tattooed hipsters? Good times.
Solid hiring policy then.

Why are you talking in past tense? :p

HolyCheck has discovered time-travel and has returned from the future after kids have decided tattoos are for old people.

So apparently I was on Channel 11's Toasted TV this morning, teaching the kids about the awesome Dreamcast :)

So uh how do I download video from this site? It expires in a month and would like to keep a copy

Probably best to cap it off TV with a DVR since those catch up services are a) region blocked, b) temporary, and c) shit. Would be cool to see you talk with your journo voice where you drop your voice an octave and try to sound really laid back.

so, Gaz, I assume the police let you off with a warning. I mean, those dickheads are dead, right?

Doesn't Queenslnd still have douche-panic defense laws?

also gratz.

This show appears to have deteriorated even further since I was a kid. That's impressive.

I remember going to a taping of Seven's Super Saturday to see Agro, Anne-Marie, Gibbo, Boris the Black Knight (minus O'Toole because I guess there was a limit of one puppet per show), Crikey and maybe Ranger Stacey but this may have predated her. I'm also trying to remember if it featured the "Stranger-Danger" Office Dave, who would later get charged for child pornography offenses but I can't remember.

Seemed like it would be a fun morning (not because of Officer Moore, you sickos), but it wasn't as much fun as we had hoped. Because it was being taped live, when the cartoons were on there was no one on stage and they just played the cartoons on the studio monitor's with very low sound. Hyperactive children (which they caused to become hyperactive by constantly telling them to be louder and louder when going to/coming out of commercials + feeding them lollies, etc) meant that no one was prepared to watch tiny televisions and sit still for any period of time. I think most of us just ran amok under the bleacher seating trying to keep amused. I seem to recall the one I attended might have been Agro celebrating his birthday, too.

Weird. Weird, ancient memories.

Edit: Actually, it was probably Jill that was with Agro, not Anne-Marie. I don't think she came along until Agro's Cartoon Connection.

Has anyone bought anything from Play-Asia recently? I'm thinking of buying a Vita and they seem to have the cheapest around. Alternatively, has anyone seen any good Vita deals around? Thanks

Manufacturing outage over DOAX3. Appealing to gamergate. That sort of thing.

I see. I'll keep looking around anyways. Thankfully, I never did follow the whole gamergate thing so I barely know what it's about but I didn't know it was still going on.

I noticed early you said you'd been to Egypt right?

Was it? all i recall is them noting that they were selling the game and how it was a game not to be published in the west. Though I guess there was a bit of 'its the game you were not meant to see' in it.

Of course now with amazon.jp exporting games that whole issue with japanese games being kept from the west or edited might be a thing of the past. At least on platforms without region locks and for people who can deal with games not in their native language.

Yup, went to Egypt for 2 weeks and toured the tombs.

There was a lot of "neener neener neener" stuff going on in their tweets, pretending there was some madd boycott against them or whatnot.

Really though I don't order from them because it takes 1 million years for them to ship stuff to me. This was just the cherry on top to make me look elsewhere if I do really need a foreign release of something lol.

Once you're inside a monument (such as the pyramids at Giza), don't show anyone your pass/ticket, unless you feel like buying it back.

Ignore sellers in tourist attractions, if they throw you things or give you 'gifts', don't accept them, drop them on the ground. They might be pretty aggressive.

Don't be surprised if you get spat on.

Ah cool beans. Actually, the reason I want to get a Vita is because I'll be heading to Egypt. Got any tips for someone who's never been there before?
Don't buy those bum bag or fanny pack things. Theives KNOW they're recommended to tourists to keep their things in.

Don't let anyone lead you anywhere ever unless you trust them. You will get mugged. My mother almost got mugged when a man forcefully tried to lead her away from the group. He got taken away by police. He tried to offer her gifts.

Never accept gifts ever EVER. Street Salespeople will offer them to you, put them in your hands forcibly, and even try to out things over your neck. The street salesmen usually double as theives too.

Opt for bottled water. Do not buy "bottled" water from random street vendors though. People will reseal used bottles with unsafe water.

I hope you like Pepsi. It was even cheaper and easier to get than water.

If you're white and male you're basically going to be treated like a millionaire.

Depending on the place, they might accept Egyptian currency, euros, or US dollars. Be prepared to haggle but for it to probably be inevitablely pointless anyway.

If you're on a tour, I can guarantee you 100% that the tour guide is getting a cut of the sales when they decide to take you to a "special shop".

Yeah, their tourism minister is a dick but he's related to the president
jk
.

that said, UK isn't much better in regards to spitting. There's the old story of Dick Whittington finding the streets paved with gold and I firmly believe that it contains a glaring typo that changes the entire tone.
I mean, the streets here are paved with gob. puddles of saliva on every footpath.

Thanks for the advice. Are these sort of things only prevalent in the touristy locations? Also whats the best way to access your bank account while overseas? All the options I've seen are full of fees and shitty exchange rates.
Happy Easter cunts.

Checkout Amazon Japan as they are shipping video games to Australia now.
Def will but I thought that didnt include consoles right?
Not for ages tbh due to prices but postage was always fine. No real Vita deals around sadly :(
Yea I try looking for Vita deals every day now but alas I'm usually disappointed.

Ah maybe not then.

As for your travel question, get a Citibank plus card, no fees and uses the spot rate for the exchange so you never get screwed by the conversion rate. Really can't recommend it enough. Whirlpool has a nice wiki on it https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/citibank_plus_transaction_account

Board games day yesterday: a couple of games of M.U.L.E., a couple of rounds of Dominion, a round of Star Realms and a couple of games of Race For The Galaxy. A good day :)

Kissed a mod for a tag; liked it
Sitting here twiddling my thumbs at work. Definitely earning those penalty rates today lol.

But for real hands off our penalty rates, government.

Right, I'm gonna say it: I don't get Stardew Valley. There's far too much walking from end of town to end of town (sometimes fruitlessly as the shop owner has just wandered off) and the income stream makes it a painful slog meaning I've hit summer and sum total I've managed is to upgrade my pack (once), my fishing pole and get copper pick and axe. 8 hours of play, 30 days in-game. No house extensions, barely any farm to speak of.

Don't base your progress on how much money/big your farm is, do stuff you enjoy doing, fishing, go into the mines etc. The game has no time limit, and you can't do permanent damage.
When I started I was all about farming, while my friend was all about fishing, around autumn both of us had earned the same amount of money.
The only problem I have with the game is winter, there just isn't any to do that I enjoy unfortunately.

Does anyone else lack motivation to start The Witcher 3? I played it on release for about 30h, and have tried picking it up every couple of month since then, I don't know what it is with that game, I boot it up, realise I'm in the middle of nowhere and loose all motivation to continue.

Yep, there's definitely no pressure in the game. Maybe I might duck back into it every now and then. It doesn't require a lot of brain power ;-)

I played a good bunch of hours in it until I just stopped. 58 hours, and I think I'd just had enough. It was pretty, but I think I was getting tired of trying to min-max the quests. Yeah, I know you shouldn't do it, my gotta-complete-'em-all gamer brain just wouldn't let me relax.

226 hours in according to Steam, and I still have stuff I want to do :)
