IIS 7 is ok once you get used to it. It's a huge redesign though. Technically it's supposed to be a lot better than 6, but it's even worse than Office 2003 > Office 2007 in terms of relearning the interface.Choc said:IIS 7 is a piece of shit

iMac 24" at work is shitting itself, we don't have the original discs that it shipped with (thanks eBay!) so we can't run Apple Hardware Test - any alternatives?
and about 15 more of the same error with different kexts. Machine won't turn back on now, tried holding 'd' with no disc and it didn't get past the grey start screen.cunt of a machine said:the system extension"/System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeonX2000.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used

Before this started the ethernet cable was connecting and disconnecting about 15 times a minute, it was like a rave watching the network tab of system prefs.
We'll probably get a Techtool Pro now, but it won't help us for the couple of weeks it takes to get here haha
will try the ram fix - at the moment just have it booted as a target disk and backing up emails to another machine (22gbs worth, wtf) - everything else is backed up already.
I don't think you understand. Nintendogs plus Cats.legend166 said:When are NAL confirming how much they're expecting us to pay for the 3DS? That's today, right?
I can't believe they're going to charge $400 for it. Such a farce.

Side note, holding down d to enter the diagnostic can take for fucking ever. So hold that bastard down for 2 minutes and if nothing happens then i guess it's not built in.
Working is good, but if you don't live close the commute is shit. Wife's starting a new job close to home next week and gets an extra two hours a day because of no longer having to travel into the city.jambo said:Working in a city is awesome, everything you could possibly need and everything is close.

I'm pretty sure I heard about Twitter ponying up logs when subpoenaed just recently. For Wikileaks maybe? Did they actually provide logs?Choc said:Twitter and youtube i would say are somewhat protected by freedom of speech in the US.

Edit: No, it doesn't look like Twitter provided the logs (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/01/08/world/main7225323.shtml), but they do tell their users about them, which is nice. I'm not sure if freedom of speech cover if it's a criminal investigation or matter of national security.
$400? Confirmed? If so, I am holding out for the redesign. At lest a bunch of games will be dirt cheap by then.legend166 said:When are NAL confirming how much they're expecting us to pay for the 3DS? That's today, right?

I was referring the national security in the context of Wikileaks.Choc said:hacking the ps3 is not a matter of national security nor should it be a crime
pirating IP is, hacking a system is not (well except in the USA who have that abhorrent DMCA law)

Kritz said:1 - I burnt the rice
2 - I didn't realise that rice got bigger when you cooked it, and ended up with way too much.
3 - I didn't mix the eggs properly - I just threw it into the pile and mixed it up. Didn't read instructions proberly which said to put eggs in and to wait for them to cook, then mix them with the rice
4 - I don't think that bottle was soy sauce. I don't know what soy sauce is. It said 'sauce' on it so I figured what the hey.
I also don't think I used enough bacon.
Edit: I'm dying, gaz hahaha >_<
