The double original gets my seal of approval. Although the sauce didn't seem to blend very well with it. It also isn't large at all, It's like half he size of the package they give you, Maybe the size of your palm?

It's chicken, cheese, a piece of bacon and some sauce. Would eat again but i doubt any time soon, Gotta get sexy and all that.
Best of all - YOU ARE NOT DEAD.

Serrels tweeted a link to one of the Gawker/Allure sites that compard the burger to other staples of the Aussie junkfood landscape which showed it's really not much worse than the garbage we've already been eating. Interestingly the Zinger burger has like a billion times more fat.

tuna on dry toast for me today :(

Danoss and Rez, I have the Antec P182 PC case which is totally fucking badass.

It totally is. That was my old case, which has been relegated to an Asterisk server. I'm rocking the P183 now, which is basically the same but has slightly more airflow. The look of the P182 is so much cleaner though, I kinda miss it.

The only downside to these cases is that they become a bit difficult to work with once you put a big graphics card in there. My situation is worsened by the fact that my ATI 5870 has the power connectors facing towards the front of the case, rather than the side.

but ever so delicious
I'm currently using the P193 and will be for a long ass time. Be warned that you need a low height cooler for your CPU or the giant ass size fan won't actually fit, Like mine at the moment.

However, Since i've been thinking about building a small nas/htpc storage system, The idea of having my huge case at the moment seems pointless. In all honesty, The only drives i would need in a main PC is the SSD for the OS, Games drive, Drive for porn / random shit. The rest, media, backups etc can all sit on it's own set of drives in another box.

I love my P193 and spent the money since i wanted a case that could hold whatever i throw at it and do it as cool and silent as possible. These days though, A giant case may not be needed at all.

That blows... I love the Zinger burgers. PS. I hope we still get the Tower back someday. My favourite burger ever.
Side note: For a breakfast McAwesome, buy a bacon and egg McMuffin meal and put the hashbrown IN THE MUFFIN. It's like a breakky tower burger.

I have the Coolermaster 690 II Advanced. It's pretty boss, but from what I understand you can't fit the bigger (5870/5970) video cards in it.

Looking at nutritional info for take away places is depressing shit.

I learnt a couple of weeks ago that the ultimate double whopper has more than 5000 kj

:O

(Not that I eat them, I'm allergic to gluten. But thats like 1100 calories in one burger)

Edit: Also, as someone allergic to gluten, a bunless burger is something I can get behind.

A little bit of the extra light philadelphia cheese helps for tuna on toast I find. Removes a bit of the dryness and adds stuff all to the fat or overall calorie content.

As for cases, the last few I have built for people has had a Lancool (by Lian Li) K-60 which is a pretty nice to use case that is also easy on the wallet. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_30_394&products_id=12170

The Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced is a fairly popular choice in that price range too. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_31&products_id=13772

If I were buying a case today I'd get a Silverstone Fortress FT02B because I think they look sweet and I like that the ports are on the top. A bit pricey though. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_608&products_id=13943

The Corsair 600T is another nicer looker in that price range. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_961&products_id=15279

Personally the Antec cases don't do anything for me, but lots of people swear by them.

Anyone here know what Supanova is like? I'm tempted to go after seeing the huge fuckoff promo with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

What nerd demographic is it? Should I dress up as something stupid?

Halp Ausgaf! I bought a case for my HTC Desire a couple of months ago, but its started to crack. Anyone recommend a good brand/place to buy HTC cases?

I know I could go the ebay route but I've had some bad experiences with cheap ebay phone cases.

That's about the right demographic, yes. More western nerdstuff I believe.

I always love the cases that seem to be inspired by 2001's monolith.

Edit: there is some fucking terrible magic on this phone making the post I am replying under disappear to like 3 pages passed.

Managed to get my mum to go to my house and sit there all day tomorrow to wait for my (possible) 3ds delivery. Good 'ol reliable mum lol

Oh and Clipper, are you having it delivered to you at UNSW? Because mine will be delivered to Kensington. Which means our stuff will probably be in the same truck, and touched by the same delivery guy!!

I'm feeling a special connection with you right now.

Note to Melbournians. Don't fall asleep on a train with a foot on a train seat. It will cost you $176. Amazing.

Metro are Connex under another name the way they run the transport system. Complete joke.

Some part of me loves putting together PC builds, so here's todays version of the "$1200 no corners cut" build based on PC Case Gear. Add $100 to go up a step in GPU power.

DVD drives seem to have doubled in price recently. Probably a component shortage. They've been as low as $24. Kinda makes the jump to a $120 Blu Ray drive not seem like all that much.

Heh. Good work. Mine aren't being delivered to Uni, but to my home in Randwick, so they probably will be delivered by the same guy anyway. I'll just go home early to wait for the package, because timing is almost exactly the same as last time for that other one I posted so far. I lived in Kensington a few years back for a few years too, on the street behind Peter's. Nice suburb, but I really hate the lack of a major supermarket within walking distance.

Now, which one of us will the driver pick first? My guess is probably Kensington, as it's closer to Mascot, but we'll see...

At the moment one exclusively holds Crysis 1. Used to use the other for BF2 but EA patched that out.

You could save even more if you buy from Umart. I just had a scan through all of those parts and everything at Umart is cheaper, except for the CPU at $10 more and the case at the same price.

So, It looks like i need to take 2 trains from the domestic airport to st leonards for a total travel time of like 40 minutes.

It looks like i need a MyMulti 1 weekly for $41 to get me around the place?

Then there's also some Pass i need to buy that's like $10 to get in and out of the station on a train? What.

Do they do interstate shipping? I just use their site because it's easy to use. I've never actually bought something from them before. Those are just roughly indicative prices.

They do, but no idea on the price. I usually just use Static Ice and work out the cheapest price and buy it from where is convenient.

edit: and yeah if you pick up you have to swim to the counter :p

Oh cool. Yeah, I guess in Randwick you're spoilt with being both walking distance to work, and to all the shops in Randwick Junction.

Anyway, the 3ds race is ON!

I find that that normally results in getting a heap of shitty websites that don't indicate stock and when you follow up on the sweet price at the top of the list, they're out stock. Or it's in stock and the guy runs the store out of his home (based on static ice, I've bought from peoples homes twice now). That might work for a single part, but buying a full PC by that method is infuriating. I prefer to use one vendor with a reliable website that indicates stock properly and maybe pay a little more to have all my warranty claims go through one place. That's IT Estate for me in Sydney. I'm sure it would be UMart if I was in QLD.

I know what you mean (regarding the shitty websites), and for the most part when building a new system I do the same. I basically just work out where the best deal for MB/CPU/GPU is and just buy it all from the one store, problem is, I am usually particular about brands/model etc and I can't always get it from the one place.

You know, I don't think I like Dragon Age 2. Besides the fact it's disjointed and the quests throw away, it gives me motion sickness which is incredibly rare in games.

I'm incredibly disappointed.

I'm pretty sure you don't need the pass any more. It was one of the final acts of the Labor government to remove that extra fee. And I'm not sure a MyMulti 1 is enough for you... I'll just check...

I'm only 15 hours in, but I'm kinda liking DA2. I'm glad I read the GAF thread so I started on Hard and progressed to Nightmare. I think I would have been bored shitless starting on Normal like I did with Origins. I know it's supposed to get worse as you play, but I haven't gotten to that point yet. The graphics are pretty sweet too. Easily the best of it's sub genre.

I did the domestic to st leonards train route card thingy check and i believe it claimed i needed a mymulti 1 since it was 16.58km's in distance.

I could be wrong since i have no idea what i'm talking about.

no you do need that pass for the airport clipper

the removal of the fee was for green square and mascot (two suburban stations on the same private line)

OK, yeah, I guess you still do need the pass. And yeah, MyMulti 1 covers St Leonards (just) so you should be good. However, if you are going to be mostly in Crow's Nest and only travelling on certain occasions, then there may be better tickets you can use.

That's ridiculous.. Although my advice to Melbournians would be DO NOT FALL ASLEEP ON A TRAIN!!!

Does anybody know whether you can cancel a pre-order at JB Hi-Fi on launch day? I've all of a sudden lost all interest in buying a 3DS because of the dismal launch line up. I don't have time to go down today so...

Heh. Reminds me of a taxi driver whose cab I jumped in. He had just finished smoking a joint, it still smelt from it. Halfway into the trip he started swerving all over the place trying to keep it straight (lucky it was the early hours of the morning and the streets were empty). Shortly after he started with that, he turned to me and asked me if I wanted to drive.

I only have a motorcycle license so I declined, but I wonder what he would have tried to charge me if I did.

Cookie, is your work paying for expenses?

Why not just taxi it everywhere if so?

I believe they are and the boss pretty much said to taxi it from the station to crows nest. I don't mind public transport though and i wanted to see the cluster fuck of the system you NSW seem to say they have.

I'm guessing i will check out a few places but that's not certain. Since i don't know what i'm doing in NSW, I might just stay in my hotel and throw steam on the macbook for chattage. Maybe ride a ferry once and run away at the other end.

Not sure what i really should be trying to see since it's a work related trip and i'm still not even sure on the days there, Could be for the entire week. Hopefully find all that out later on today.

Cool. Make sure you let us know as soon as you find out so we can finally plan this SydGAF thing. You're obviously our catalyst...

And in the vein of this, what sort of place are we thinking, SydGAF? The Lowenbrau seems to be a generally acceptable choice, but The Australian Hotel works well too for their crocodile, kangaroo and emu pizzas and tons of beers on tap. There's also the Belgian Beer Cafe if we want to have a bit more classifier food with our drinks, and BrisGAF met in the one of those they have up there once, I believe.

It's not that bad if you're just in and around the city. The main non-Choc problem with Sydney public transport is that it was never put in around the outer Sydney population growth centers, so now the North West and South West are fucked for another 15 years. Which is probably why people are leaving Sydney in droves.

It must be said that as a loyal customer of Umart for many years, it's in poor taste to be making fun of their situation and it must be really hard for the business to keep their head above water.
