Nintendo Street Dates generally are stuck to very very well because in general Nintendo does come with the smackhammer. Most publishers do not go through with the 200,000 dollar plus fines which are threatened. Nintendo did with kmart once and so everyone was on notice.
but, my theory still is right imho, its the ocarina and nitnendo are probably kicking themselves right now
