AusGAF 3.0 - Double the price, region locked and refused classification

Guys, don't forget that overtly sexual stuff isn't really meant to be posted on GAF any more due to the Google Ad rules. We don't want to be forced into AusGAF 4.0 early...

Fucking incredible, I can't wait. Those ironsights give me tingly feet and toes. Oh wait, that's cos I stopped breathing for a moment there...

So good, can't wait to snipe people, the ballistic mechanics look just as good as last time.

And the snippets of tank footage look awesome, fully imagined interiors are gorgeous!

Woo!

Fuck, that was an unexpectedly (kinda) expensive trip to Zavvi. Went in for Party Animals, came out with that, de Blob 2 and Deathsmiles for 25 quid. All games I should be able to finish without too much hassle, so they're not really adding to the backlog. That's my theory and I'm-a stickin' to it.

What, are you afraid they'll see all the shrink wrap? :p
You... bastard. Mind you, the shrink wrap is pretty much exclusive now to about half of my HD-DVD collection :/

Thumbs down. Was cool when I was 18 but I don't get the visual stimulation so it gets a pass from me. For some reason a big part of my enjoyment depends on aural and visual interaction. Whether that means I have a crappy imagination or just my brain can detect the disconnection between what I am thinking and what is actually happening is an interesting topic of discussion. Nice quick warmup is nice though. Just no more than 3-4 minutes please.

Also Shaneus that is a cheap trip! de Blob 2 is fantastic and deserves more attention. Deathsmiles is much too hardcore for me, never was one for the bullethell. Just too soft and prone to throwing controllers I think. This generation really has been catered to me with the Press A To Win system most games have taken on. My self worth is higher because I won so easily!

So got Rugby world cup 2011 today to have a play with. It's by HB Studios who did the EA rugbys back in the day. Got it from publisher

Anyway, find out it does not have Wallabies and All Blacks licensed. Instead that is going to be in 'Wallaby Challenge 2011'

which is by the guys who did Jonah Lomu rugby (which was awesome)

but what the fuck IRB, seriously how can you have an OFFICIAL world cup game WITHOUT all the official teams

this is why FIFA is not a clusterfuck. FIFA controls all the licencing for national teams who sign up to their group (and you have to to play in WC qualifiers etc). IRB lets individual nations deal with this shit and you get the OFFICIAL game without the two of the biggest teams licensed

:|

Fuck.me rugby is a clusterfuck.

Best thing about RO2 is that it is =D

Also, I loved the looking under the scope, down the sites, before popping back up to the scope on the Mosin–Nagant sniper, can't wait to do shit like that!

Is Wallaby Challenge where you have to make it to training on time after a drunken night out with fisticuffs and associated shenanigans?

Cheap, but 5 times more what I was expecting to pay! I'm not real great on bullethell shooters, but I like seeing things explode so I figure it's worth a shot. With any luck it will tide me over until Raiden Fighters Aces comes out for PAL in October.

I'd also like to see a rugby league Football Manager style game.

Melbourne Storm Manager perhaps, where you have to hide the salary cap breaches.

Anyone else got their most recent electricity bill? I can't believe how much it has gone up... $564 for the quarter...

Mine is under $200. No need for heaters in WA when you grew up in Tasmania.

edit: 3br house too. Summer bills with aircon still come in under $300.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
These dark cherry ripes are fucking delicious.

Ours went down $50~

Although that may have something to do with the drop-kick 4th housemate no longer living with us.

Jesus... Something has to be using up all that power? We have a bar heater that we have been using quite a bit, that is the only difference since the last bill in terms of appliance usage, do those things chew through the power?

Drag players out of the pub. Break up fights with taxi drivers.

Bar heaters do (you mean the ones with exposed radiant rod coils that glow red?) Or do you mean those old oil heaters?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Oil_Heater_5293.jpg

Oil heaters are good from memory, but we used to just pop one in the bedroom of an evening and a rug + heater in the lounge if it was chilly.

That will be it. Bar heaters use a lot of power.

I don't really feel the cold, so I pretty much never use our reverse cycle ducted system. My female housemate uses it a bit, but obviously not enough to make too big a dent in the power bill.

I also got my housemates to start turning the TV off properly (no more standby) and we've been using energy saver lamps instead of downlights which are notoriously bad.

if you guys are complaining about power move to NSW which has had price rise after price rise recently

by the end of the IPART allowed price rises, it will be up 80% on 2010 prices.

$2000-3000 bills are common with some areas/families of Sydney and yes perhaps they are going bananas with power but its still a shit ton of money for what quite frankly should be seen as a fucking necessity in this day and age and should not be allowed to have the shit gouged out of it

We are paying higher bills because the management of the power companies did not invest in infrastructure and now have to build shit quicker to keep up with demand so it costs more money. Those managers get paid millions of dollars a year to do fuck all and build fuck all infrastrucutre. IPART should have told them to go fuck themselves and they should have done a better managerial job in building infrastructure rather than allow the 80% gouge.

Lol@ $2000 bills.

People should really take a look at what theyre running if they rack up that much of a bill.

Yeah since we moved I've started banning heaters, just put on a jumper instead, and we haven't missed it too much. Well I haven't :p

Might have to start all electronics off at the wall at night though. Also I'm not sure if our new place has those energy saver lights. Might have to look into that.

I have no idea what to expect with my bill.

EDIT Yeah in NSW, guy at work got a bill work a couple of thousand and thats what made me think about it

Hey now! You know as well as I do that dating girls from your own church and/or youth group is just asking for drama in your life that you simply don't need. That line about company ink? That applies to church ink too, albeit with far less pen-dipping.

What are people paying for power there? What's the going rate?

edit: wait a sec.

edit 2: 22c per kW/h and 40c additional per day in WA.

That's what happens when you privatise natural monopolies.

Dinosaurs have no place in organised religion.

Also any electric heater will give you a sky high bill. Natural gas is a hell of a lot cheaper, on our contract we install mostly gas heaters because it is so much cheaper for the tenants.

Also choc those sports games that aren't big names are horrible. The cricket ones have only now gotten back to Shane Warne Cricket on the PSOne level. Also very few official player names in them either.

Wish the government systems would switch to Chrome. IE is such a piece of crap to browse with a work, hopefully the Microsoft Monopoly Agreement of 1987 will soon be overturned and I can start browsing like normal people.

It happened a few months back. It seemed like swearing and even the homebrew discussion might be a problem for a short while, but they have been deemed suitable for the time being. The following was deemed inappropriate:

Amir0x said:
sexual advice/pornographic imagery/links to pornographic sites/advert sex discussion
endorsement of drugs/paraphanelia/etc

There's further discussion here.

I don't think anything in the recent pages was infringing those, but it might have been a problem that not even EatChildren could fix if it went further unchecked.

Yeah I'm in NSW, just looked t the bill again and there is quite a substantial price increase for offpeak/shoulder/peak since July 1st... This is becoming ridiculous now.
