I have a 2005 Mazda 3 SP23 manual. The license place is 73 GFY. 73 since that's when i was born and GFY because, well, you can work that out

My wife has a 2003 Liberty Wagon 2.5 auto.

We've had both since new and love them. But I'm buying myself a Liberty sedan if I ever buy another new car for myself. That AWD is wonderful.

I had a 2002 astra years ago, one of the ones made in Belgium (That later became Astra classics but they were made in eastern Europe). That was a really good car as well.

Before that I had a 95 Magna Wagon V6 as my first car (bought in '99). What a piece of shit. No more mitsubishi for me.

TAS?

I noticed the MSI price go up too, but thought it was my imagination! Nice build too, by the way.

Tasmania! Yeah bit of a bummer about the MSI, but for the sake of a bit of overclockability (which I probably wouldn't do), better cooling (I guess?) and who knows whether a marginal FPS increase...not worth the extra $50.

Don't believe the hype, Fusebox!

lol, of course. Yeah the price hike is odd, as it hasn't been reflected at umart or other places. And yeah, absolutely not worth the $50.

So, impromptu job interview leads to improptu job offer leads to me being 90% sure I'll be changing roles in the next month.

I'll be joining network services. I'll be doing low level network management stuff, but it's good enough for me at this point. YAY.

That's pretty much exactly what you wanted isn't it? Congrats!

Pretty much. Thanks. I shouldn't get too excited until it's all locked in.

Not sure if I was clear - I'll still be in IBM.

No pay rise though : ( But that's to be expected. The team I'm joining is like half grads/interns. But it's the perfect starting position. I couldn't ask for much more, especially since I've got no experience in networking.

It's too late for them to pay for my first CCNA test, but I'll make sure they'll pay for the next one.

At least you still have a job so you can continue getting a Swans membership allowing you to keep being disappointed by them next year =P

Listen, Port supporter - don't throw stones in glass houses.

Heck, Port's house isn't even made out of glass. It's like, one ply toilet paper or something.

Yep, applying in October or whenever it is applications open up. Gotta get in quick!

In other news, what do you cats think about women in gaming journalism?

I take just as much attention to females as male journalists. Sometimes they have good things to say and are very good journalists. I highly respect Laura Parker and Tracey, they are both very good journalists in gaming journalism for the right reasons and doing it the right way.

Female versions of Serrels if you will....

I guarantee Laura wouldn't have sat on her hands like Tracey did though. Completely get why Tracey did it at Freeplay, but LP wouldn't have, she is very outgoing and does not put up with shit.

Speaking of notebooks, does anyone know where to buy Moleskines in Melbourne? Kikki K in Chadstone no longer have them and I only know of Borders as the other place I could find them. Need it before the end of next week so Amazon UK (which I just found out ships them to Australia cheap) is not an option.
I got my Moleskin from an office place here in Warrnambool called Office Choice which seems to be an Australia wide franchise. Even a few clothing places like the female version of Jay Jays (on the tip of my brain) has them.

VOOK

We don't know why he keeps buying PAL, either.

VOOK's saving number 5 for the one with the second analog stick.

I won't but a 5th 3DS, that's just crazy. Who has more than 4 3DS's?

On the day the company I worked for went to the great arcade in the sky, a lot of journalists sent me an email to my work email address asking for a comment or confirmation or whatever.

My work address. To ask if it was true that nobody was working there anymore. Uh...

Laura from GameSpot, meanwhile, did some digging around and found my non-work twitter account, and messaged me there. Then she found my regular email addresses and emailed me on them. Then somehow she found my mobile phone number and contacted me on that.

That's called being a journalist. Full marks to her.

Not that I could say much anyway I was too busy getting drinks lol

I reckon you'd struggle to find 4 people with 3DS's posting in the 01net rumour threads.

Amen.

Unrelated; MGS3 theme song gets me pumped like a mother fucker at work.

Shit, I do that when I stalk *anyone*. That's not being a journalist, that's just being creepy! So I'm told.

Gee, I Hope Gaz is ok. screw the other 400

How can the same shit happen to the same guy twice?

I don't find Lord of the Fries very good. Their burgers are crap and their chips at best are average.

Edit: In unrelated news, it's now time to take the meat from the fridge and the mincer components from the freezer to make tonight's dinner, which is home made burgers.

Awesome 7.1 Headphones arrived! Just in time for de3!!!

Hey! Low blow dude. Give us a bit of heart! We are stuck out in the Sahara wiping our arses with tshirts with no fucking clue which way is East let alone where we can get some damn water!

Indeed. That and Little Kings Story 2 on Vita.

Port is the only team I won't rip into since I'm worried they'll scuttle Essendon's finals chances this week.
We have a great track record against you guys which at least gives me the hope of a loss less than 10 goals.

The demo of Relic's 'Space Marine' offers a glimpse into a novel new type of brawler that offers satisfying combat and rewards the player who choses to think carefully and quickly about what they are doing.

WTF Maccas here in Warrnambool charge me 20c for shaker fries and the ad just said they are meant to be free with a value meal! Ripped off! I bet that sweaty teenager pocketed the shrapnel!

He'll probably put that 20c straight into one of those video game machines that are so popular right now. Damn kids.

All this shaker fries talk makes me want some. Though I've been really good and haven't had maccas in ages. I'll see how much willpower I have tomorrow at lunch.

Hmm. I feel silly. I've always got FRAPS running but seems like during my short time with Civ V and de3 I have been pressing the Video record button not the Screenshot button. Resulting in 100Gb of completely uninteresting video.
Ah well. More room for porn!
