If people buy the points at retail or soon through PayPal, sure. If people buy with their card through the dashboard, I don't see how that avoids fees.

I'm really happy I picked up Alpha Protocol again. I played it for a couple of hours back in February or something, got to Taiwan, and put it down for some reason or another. It's just a fun game. The game is easy, but it doesn't feel easy, if you get what I'm saying. And I like that it doesn't really punish you for choosing to play one way or another. I can try and stealth through a level, fail miserably (which I do), but then just shoot my way out.

Plus, putting a time limit on responses is such a simple, but brilliant idea.

I love the sheer responsiveness with the way that Alpha Protocol changed the game and responded to your choices, even if I wasn't that fond of the actual writing and characterisation of Thornton for a lot of it (he never feels like an actual person, more like... well, a spy putting on a series of masks. Which fits, but still)

They got the whole decisions/consequences thing a lot better than Bioware did. In DA2 and ME2 it really made no difference what you said in conversations. At least in Alpha Protocol it has tangible effects on gameplay. Plus being a spy was awesome. I wish they could do AP2 and avoid the jank from the first game, Obsidian only ever get to make one game in a series. They haven't had a chance to improve on the formula they create, unfair.

On the topic of No More Heroes, anybody got any questions for Suda51?

Ask him if he has any cool ideas for the 3DS even if he isn't going to do any development on it. Also see if he has had any experience with Steam, if not he should look at doing smaller, experimental titles through Steam/PSN as I can see his ideas working well in the 4 hour/$20 area. Also means he can get 3 titles out a year.

You're right for the most part though. Mostly because if you have a BES, the data technically remains in house. It's not because of some magic voodoo by RIM, it's just because you're never going to trust externally hosted shared services if you're super duper security conscious. If RIM had a cloud service, they wouldn't trust it either.
