The more you know. Maybe if the original pricing model was a roaring success we would have seen a powerful Wii-U.

Most launch games will be, Scribbleanuts Unlimited isn't and is at full 1080p.

As for the 3DS losing money, it did when it dropped. It might not be now.

As to be expected VOOK, was just surprising. Having said that, I am glad they stuck with 60fps over resolution, which imo is much more important for a Mario game.

Gamecube actually launched at a very small loss, in the USA at least. So its not a brand new thing, only more significant with 3ds. Although this week they announced they're now making money on it from XL on.

I won one of those Mario 3DS'. I would keep it but money is tight and I have a 3DS already. What do you guys think is the best way to sell it? I saw a Peach one go on Ebay for $600.

I kinda feel bad selling it :p

im still 10 pages behind. i just read chocs post asking how to use a rice cooker as a deep fryer and lost it. best thing iv read all week. ps. those sugar theremometers are horrible they break so easy. your better off getting

Exciting, my new work phone just arrived (Galaxy S3), hurry up and charge.

Also, I think I just came up with a really good idea for a game (actually maybe 2) and google tells me it hasn't been done yet which I find surprising.

The Japanese version of Sleeping Dogs has a few country specific edits, such as penalising players who harm civilians in the game and cutting a scene that shows a person’s exposed organs

Yep. This is why I have pretty much quit at level 35. I can see it going nowhere of interest to me and replaying the same content isn't very appealing. It might be more enjoyable at higher difficulties, but it still appears you just have to repeat the same motions over and over again to defeat the same waves of enemies, and isn't heavily skill based.

I might have stuck with it more if I played co-op, but if the gameplay isn't holding my interest in single player it's not really a game I want to play in multiplayer either. One of the reasons why I don't play MMOs.

Quitting while I'm ahead so I don't get completely burnt out before Torchlight 2.

I stayed up almost all night finishing an "Epic" speed game of Civ V. The new expansion has fixed my biggest problem with that game. I built a space-ship and won. It was cool.

Total understatement. MGS3 is concise where it needs to be (exposition) and detailed where it best suits (survival aspect).

Its a game that knows its a game, like Resi 4. So many little details in it, it puts the rest of the series to shame, which is no mean feat given mgs1 quality.

MGS3 does go off the rails during some points but the initial area of survival in the jungle is the most incredible game design, its just ridiculously good and puts Kojima up there with the best of them.

This was made in 2004 and it still today represents amazing game design

Now I can either go Peace Walker, MGS1 (PS1 or Twin Snakes, I have both), or MGS4.

Then after the MGS series playthrough I might go finish Persona 3 again or do Half-Life. Screw playing new games when I can just replay excellent old games!

A New Zealand High Court judge has ruled that police search warrants used to seize property from Megaupload's founder Kim Dotcom were illegal.

Justice Winkelmann has also ruled it was unlawful for copies of Dotcom's computer data to be taken offshore.

She ordered that no more items taken in the raids could be removed from New Zealand, and instructed the attorney-general to return clones of the hard drives held by New Zealand polic
She said that police without a valid warrant were trespassing and exceeded what they were lawfully authorised to do.
