I wouldn't say Dinosaurs on a Spaceship is anywhere near the best of Who, and certainly not as good as Blink, but there was nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Who fans be crazy.

Excited about a Western-themed episode penned by Toby Whithouse next week though.

Gave over a hundred old gaming mags (Mean Machines, EGM, etc) and an Amiga 500* to Blue Tongue a few years back for their break room... wonder what ever happened to that stuff. Probably chucked in a dumpster.

*Floppy drive didn't work but I was told someone tried to fix it.

I like true blood too ..... its campy fun :)

but yeah, give breaking bad a chance.

The first season is really short due to the writer's strike. So not too much commitment

(walter white in his undies probably not the best introduction maybe o.o)

I still need to finish season six. I think the last episode I saw was let's kill hitler.
First episode of s7 seems okay. A bit corny in some bits, more so than usual. Rory and Amy still kind of annoy me, but they are both decent looking so I may be able to deal. But probably not. I thought the bit with the
daleks forgetting the doctor at the end was both cool( "doctor... who? ") and a really really stupid plot device. I await the next season when the daleks have miraculously remembered again. Though I guess as some of you said it could be leading up to something...

God Apple piss me off. I bought a friend an itunes gift card cause he was having a hard time recently and thought something might cheer him up, nope won't work. Why? Because it's a US card and he's in Canada. FFS they're right next to each other! Money has been given, just let it work. I hate region locking. Where can I even buy a Canadian card online? Like no where. There goes my good deed out the window. Probably made him more depressed.

QLD State budget announcement at 230pm today. Likely won't know how it will impact my area for a few days, but it will give me an idea.

I'm not looking forward to that either, but my area has been told we are basically safe, though I work in an IT department and we've been told we are being turned into a "Commercial Business Unit", which I take to mean we are being separated from the public sector. Probably will eventually mean job cuts, because a commercial business can't afford to be as bloated as currently are.

Some screenshots of me faffing about with Steam Big Picture Mode for anyone who might be interested.

Visually I think it looks a little dull. They could've done so much more to make it look pretty. Certainly functional enough though.

It looks like they've gone for ease of use over looks. I still reckon it looks nice though.

I'm actually tempted to hook up my PC to the plasma tonight and give it a whirl...

Is that all your money down the drain then? :( why cant itunes just convert it over to canadian itunes?
I've been having problems with them as well. Often it won't connect, and half the music I bought with them either won't download or has disappeared entirely. There's no "download songs button " that I cab find... there really is something to be said for CDs, but when you just want a single song most avenues are a big pain.

Since the XBMC Advanced Launcher is a lot more configurable, it has the ability to look a lot nicer:

Now, I don't think all those necessarily look better, but that in comparison Big Picture Mode looks a little dull. Some of those screenshots are too busy for my taste as well, but I think larger thumbnails coupled with a faded promo art or something, perhaps with more information about the game (developer, date released, game blurb etc) which maybe fades in after a few seconds in inactivity could be nice. Minimalistic looks are nice, but it's a little too minimal for my taste.

Of course, it is a beta and only just released today, so plenty of time to make it look pretty -- most important that it just works to start with!

With regards to big picture mode on steam. If I could easily hide my tower I'd think about moving it to the lounge. that and I'd have to come up with a decent mouse/keyboard setup.

Firstly it's you're

Secondly there is a Purchased section in iTunes, which will allow you to re-download purchased store content. I used it recently to download some TV shows that I bought about 2 years ago and some albums from about 4 years ago.
