Wot game?
Rayman Legends, not quite the follow up to the awesome Origins that I expected but will still be great I guess.

Oh, Torchlight 2 is up for preorder. This is mainly for reptilescorpio, as it's 1.4gb and it may take him that long to download it. It is here I'd loke to offer my services and copy the game on some kind of physical storage medium as that may be quicker than actually downloading it.

I say this because I once used to be in a similar position re: internet access. It blows :(
Oh awesome! Can't wait to preorder Tochlight 2!

Actually I already have it. ;)
Preloaded yesterday at 700KB/s, faster than most of my other downloads! Didn't take too long. Even the 6ish GB for Black Mesa didn't take too long.

Man, Sega really sucks >_< (That pic just got me thinking is all!)

Sad considering how great the sega v nintendo days were.
Wait, what? All the games in that picture are awesome. Even Samba was great fun for a Wii party game!

My taste is impecceable.

Segas on the other hand, has caused it to be bought out by a pachinko maker.

SEGA and Sammy merged in 2004, all of the pictured games came out well after that....

Fixed.

Looks like a rich painting and some of the gameplay shown IS awesome. I just worry how much of the game is that kind of gameplay compared to escort shit.

EDIT: you changed should to sounds :/

It should awful doesnt make sense!

Also, the idea of having rayman platform himself in single player.... its like a Mario game where you... dont play...

Never played a 3d sonic, never will!

Id still love to see Nintendo do a 3d sonic though, they are the only people that could make it work. Mario 3d is even better then 2d, so yeah...

Strangely enough I much prefer the 2D Mario games to the 3D ones.
Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations were both great fun, up there with the classic Sonic games (although Sonic 3 is still at the peak).

Actually I still consider the overhead LttP to be better than any of the 3D Zelda games too. Maybe it is just more my style!

Mario Galaxy tipped it in favour of 3d for me.

It doesnt help that Nintedo sort of half asses their 2d marios these days though >.< Not that they are not fun, but its clear that the 'imagination' in mario is firmly in the 3d world now.

While I enjoyed 3D Mario Land and it was fun and I loved my time with it, I would not have used the adjective "imaginative" when talking about it. Push boundaries, it did not.

Obv not including hand held titles, they have never recieved the uber polish and awesome that the console 3d marios get.

So this is being based upon the 4 3D Marios (Mario 3D, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 & 2) vs the 1 2D Mario (NSMBWii) that they've produced in recent times?

I bought some dumb stuff today. Dumb because I actually own most of them on Xbox 360. I used to collect each version of old Sonic Team stuff but haven't in a while. Big W was selling all of these for $10 each!

They had Yakuza 4 as well for $10, and that's way worth the money, but I knew I'd just never end up playing it.
I remember seeing at Big W in Melbourne a Sonic "Anniversary" PC pack that had the Sonic Mega Collection, I *think* Sonic R and two other titles (that I can't recall) as well as a Sonic/Sega MOUSE (and mousepad, I think)! It was $30 or so. If you can't track one down and are keen, let me know and I can grab it for you.

For a second, I thought you said "Sega Rally sucks". But even then, that wouldn't make your statement any more valid. Sega as a publisher are really turning it up this gen. All Stars Racing (and the sequel) look bad arse, they published/released Vanquish, Bayonetta, Shadows of the Damned, Condemned and Daytona USA. Omi would probably chime-in and say something about Football Manager as well. With that Panzer Dragoon title on it's way and Jet Set Radio out on XBLA and PSN, I'd say they're doing the best they've done since they made hardware.

Oh guys, I bought this:
K400.jpg

Coupled with Comfy Couch Steam, I'm now 100% set.

Also GAF, I'm considering buying this:

I know it's kind of ugly, but it's actually kind of comfortable. If I could paint or colour the blue to black, it'd be perfect. Is it a chick magnet, or a chick magnet in the way that magnets are known to repel each other?

Definitely the latter.

Shadows of the Damned was a GrasshopperM production through EA partners, nothing to do with SEGA.

Also post thoughts on the keyboard after a week, have had my eye on it for the last year!

So far, it actually seems okay. Haven't used it to use the PC on the TV, but I had a bit of a crack just sitting a few feet away from the PC's monitor, and while it'll take a bit of getting used to (the up arrow is frequently hit when shooting for the shift key) I imagine it'll come in really handy.

I think it might be bluetooth (it comes with it's own adapter) but whatever it works on, it seems to get a decent connection with only minimal (but noticeable) lag on the mouse.

Definitely the latter.
That's what I figured. I might look into seeing how vinyl (or fake leather or whatever) can by dyed/painted without it looking shit. Otherwise, no buy.

Is your study space really obvious? If its comfortable who cares :p
If I can have this on my bed side table and still manage to not be single, then I think you'll be okay.

I saw this on FB:

Tbh I'm actually surprised at how many people are willing to be racist dickheads using their real names. I guess these people don't have any middle eastern friends or colleagues on their FB pages?

Yeah, its kind of funny in a way. I hope future employers who look up fb details see it. But stay away from Australia-related fb pages man. Those places are just a breeding ground for assholes. You could waste so much time arguing with them...

You're a girl though. Different ruleset.

Though having said that, I'm currently single and don't have that chair, so maybe... HMMM.

With that said at least it's not bright red. Did you want it because it's comfy, or because is looks like a racing seat?

Not because it looks like one, but because it kind of feels like one (as much as something worth $130 can, I guess). If I could find as equally comfy (and I guess, racing-seat feeling) chair that's not as gaudy, I'd go for it. But I have a feeling something like that would set me back more than I can reasonably afford.

Edit: From the sounds of it, I could probably use something like this, because I have a feeling that without the colour it really wouldn't look too horrible at all.

In that case i'd just go for it. Just hide it when you have "company" around.

I don't think a racing seat would be at all comfortable whole sitting at a desk. You want that support when cornering or have external forces trying to move you about, but at a desk? Not for me...

Since you didn't ask me, get something with good support (OK so it's a little more than $150, but I'm sure you can find a reasonable clone) that'll let you move around.

Oh wow. I used to have the charmander version of that alarm clock. It was super loud. The only alarm clock to wake me up instantly. The sounds that alarm clock made scarred my psyche deeply.

I don't see any uncomfortable people standing around here?

Charmander handles it for him with a precision singe.
While Bulbasaur sits in the corner, quietly waiting to evolve into the actually fucking worth having around Venusaur with the jawesome SolarBeam.

Don't get a knock off. You get what you pay for.

i use my phone these days because I can set a cascading volume and a playlist
I use 'Gentle Alarm' on Android. 30mins before I'm scheduled to get up it plays nature sounds ultra quiet and turns up the brightness slowly too. If I'm sleeping lightly it wakes me up nice and refreshed. If not the alarm takes five minutes playing a random song which doesn't startle me.

I used to have alarms that sounded like an air raid siren... they worked but god did I feel like shit in the morning. Gentle Alarm is a bit over the top but I feel so much nicer in the morning using it.

I think I need to try this out!

That chair also comes in red (as in, replace the blue bits with equally bright red).

Sort of similar app for iOS is Sleep Cycle. Put it on the corner of your bed, it tracks your movement level through the night and wakes you when you're closest to being awake (within the half-hour before your alarm is set), so you're less groggy when you wake. You also get a neat graph of your sleep cycle through the night.
