Although I have only used it a couple of times, it's great. It does a really good job that's effortless and quick and cuts fairly deep so you only have to do it (at least I do) once every 2-3 months. Though it's probably a bit of overkill for me, as half of my edges need the whipper snipper treatment (rock walls, trees etc).

So there's no way to use it for those areas? My new place doesn't have many standard edges either but I thought if I just cut it out a bit further, making a gap between say the tree base and the lawn, that it might be ok. I don't know though, I haven't used one yet.

Well you can, just in my situation the rocks have a bit of overhang which makes it hard for the edger to get in there. As for the trees, I have a couple of very large trees in the front yard with exposed roots, and as such the ground is extremely hard so I would rather not (potentially) ruin the blade.


edit: the pros though are when I watch my neighbours with a brush cutter or manual edger only manage to get their driveway done while I have completed the entire front yard (back is even easier). In that sense the time saving benefits are preferable to any alternative.

I am looking forward to it, I really enjoyed the builds of it Bohemia showed me. I might even walk into a store to buy it.

They don't own the IP so they have never had the chance. Publishers dictate what platforms they will work on.

Going forward Inaba wants to look at Kickstarting a project for them to go on Steam, probably a smallish team, something like Viewtiful Joe would work perfect due to the already established world and gameplay. No idea if they have the rights though.
