Is there a list of places around australia (or at least Adelaide) that'll do the whole 48fps hobbit stuff? Is there any?

Fuck doing Christmas dinner, so much work.

Relaxing with a $4 pear Magners from Aldi. Picked up a few $5 Rekorderligs too.

PM Sculli, he will know which cinemas have the PC version of the more boring LotR movie.

At the risk of markotian posting, Portal 2 is majorly disappointing. Probably doesn't help that I'm not a Stephen Merchant fan. Looked to be picking up a bit in the middle but the surrounding two thirds are seriously underwhelming compared to the first game.

I'm 2/3 through Portal 2 and still haven't finished the game. Mind you, I was playing it during a pretty bad time for me (personally) but I really don't enjoy the game that much compared to portal 1.

Yeah looking for a list myself. Planning on going to melbourne just to see the film in 48fps :lol.

Portal 1 is a puzzle game that had a quirky little character that become meme
Portal 2 is a hilarious story game that has some jumping and stuff in it

Both are awesome.

Hilarious result in the local cricket!

The association’s tribunal met on Friday night and unanimously voted the one-day grand final between Panmure Bulldogs and Killarney “null and void”.

According to GCA rules, players must have played three matches in any grade to qualify for the one-day grand final.

Of the two Bulldog players in question, Simon Bourke was found to have played three matches, while Simon Schrama was deemed ineligible.

The Crabs were found in breech of an MCC Laws of Cricket rule regarding substitutes leaving the field.

Killarney had named 12 players and two substitutes — Brendan McMahon and Damian McMahon.

The decision leaves GCA without an entrant for the Twenty20 Cup in January.

The regional tournament includes $15,000 prizemoney for the winning side.

What a bunch of clowns lol

Also WHAT THE FUCK at all the fuckwit comments on the Wired review of Django Unchained? Great review but jesus, racism hey!

If anyone works out if the village cinema in hobart or glenorchy are having it, let me know. Will be attending on the 27th. Can't go 26th because reasons.

Also my friend wears glasses that don't fit right with the 3d ones so we have to watch 2D.

I think I read somewhere that a minuscule number of theatres in Aus are showing it in 48fps (or maybe that was the Master in 70mm?).

Or you could just ring them? It's at the State too, if you're willing to put up fuckwit middle aged women talking through the entire thing.

They had to dumb down portal 2 puzzles for those gamepad folk in consolvania.

Portal 1 was released at retail for PS3/360 as well as PC.

Also they did a special edition with extra puzzles on XBLA!

If anything the lesser difficulty in the single player campaign was because they wanted the more intricate puzzles in the co-op campaign.

Someone told me the other week (I can't remember who, where or when, I was drunk) that the supermarkets actually lose more money than they save through self service because industrious people like myself put every single vegetable item through as carrots or onions.

Also we got hot cross bun mix in the other day :/

My friend does this. :/
She also takes the stalk out of the mushrooms she's about to buy and puts them back because "I don't use them when I cook the mushrooms!".

I use to just put through stuff as generic fruit and veg when I was a human checkout dude.

Pretty sure I was far from alone.

Like I said, I think it's mostly the Stephen Merchant factor. I liked the Cave Johnson and GladOS stuff well enough, I just didn't enjoy anything with Wheatley in it.

What's wrong with Merchant?

I just don't like his/Gervais' style of comedy. His performance in Portal 2 was good enough for the role, I just didn't enjoy said character. Reminded me of Gervais' guest spot on Zombie Simpsons, which isn't really something you want to experience through two thirds of a game.

Except it was just his voice, he didn't write it.

Well then, I guess I'd better change my opinion. Except I got the Gervais' Simpsons vibe from the character before looking it up and seeing it was one of his collaborators doing the role.

Of course we can't consider the fact that the character was written with the actor in mind, and therefore intentionally contained a similar sense of humour. That'd just be silly. It was merely coincidence that they're both terrible.

Box of Bunnies doesn't like Eric Wolpaw's writing, lets get him.

I like Wolpaw's writing when he's not aping unfunny people.

Well they weren't both terrible. It was nothing like Merchant or Gervaises style. Gervais wrote the episodes of thesimpsons he was in, also, why are you watching modern simpsons?

Finally got my learner license today! I've always been a little too afraid of the roads, but now I think I'm prepared to take them on. I also bought Gravity Rush! Absolutely loving it so far!

Finished Oddworld Stranger's Wrath again today, first time since 2005. The second-to-last boss fight was ridiculously hard first time I played the game. Today I found a strategy that made it much more manageable.

Also, the most imposing single enemy encounter in the game can be made so much easier with one minor bit of pre-battle preparation: 40 rabbid fuzzles. Fluffy little piranas those things.

I'm kind of thankful I dont have to worry about which version to see here. 24fps standard Hobbits. Got to see Skyfall too, watched Casino Royale again last night and its a tip top film.
