My phone is getting into the Christmas spirit. I restarted it a day ago and now Santa comes on my screen every ten minutes dropping white rabbits everywhere.

So, what are AusGAF's most anticipated games for 2013?

I'm only thinking of three at this stage, namely:

1. Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch
2. The Wonderful 101
3. Abe's Oddysee New and Tasty

Boxing day sales are starting early tonight. Dick Smith is already live, rest will start around 9pm.

Absolute steal for android users looking for a fm dock.
Fuck yes! Although the $10 postage kinda kills the bargain

:(

Otherwise that is easily the cheapest I have ever seen.

SOMEONE MAKE A CHEAP FUCKING ANDROID DOCK FFS

Tea tree plaza has it apparently. That's where I plan on going.
Oh man, used to love Tea Tree Plaza. The Chinese place that my Dad was friends with had a Mortal Kombat unit. Sooooo many nights crushing fools while munching on honey chicken.

That was the life.

I'm kind of thankful I dont have to worry about which version to see here. 24fps standard Hobbits. Got to see Skyfall too, watched Casino Royale again last night and its a tip top film.
Yup, Casino Royale is strengthening as my highest rated Bond.

Dat Martin Campbell. Unf. Although even he couldn't save Green Lantern :/

Lucian Cat

Kissed a mod for a tag; liked it
Ugh, hate TTP, but if it has to be done, it has to be done.
I would think there'd be a few closer to town. Haven't checked. This one is the closest to me but I haven't been there in years. Might be pleasantly surprised. Can't be any worse than Elizabeth haha

Must See Twenty Thirteen

2. Metal Gear REvengenance - PLATINUM YO
3. The Last Of Us - Naughty Gods closing out the generation in style yo

MG Revengeance should be worth a look based on stealth with sombrero hats.
Naughty Dogs have rescinded their use of the word gods based on uncharted. Hopefully the last of us marks a new step for them with some interactivity for a change.

Not convinced by either gta, cyberpunk or watch dogs until more/any info is available. Nothing against them, just want details.

My two big great hopes are for details around either:
A new Oddworld (not a remake) and
Beyond Good and Evil 2.

But I doubt either of these will happen just yet. One day, if we're lucky.

Who's that? edit: oh, director of CR and GE. That explains A LOT.

Anyway, watching Quantum of Solace tonight. Then hopefully Skyfall this week. I think at this stage, Casino Royale is my equal favourite with Goldeneye. That was the highlight of Brosnan, but I'm not well versed in Connery/Dalton/Moore era Bonds as others. So it might be wrong.

But I'd have to say on second viewing, Casino Royale is a better film than (film name only):
The Dark Knight

I love the different acts, how it changes tempo several times throughout and shows this Bond to be an arrogant/impetuous but very clever and aware character. Completely different to the camp/suave/wink and nod type of Bond that Brosnan sometimes did.

So, what are AusGAF's most anticipated games for 2013?

Ninja Gaiden 3: It's Not So Bad This Time, We Promise! Edition
Animal Crossing: The New Crack
The Wonderful 101
Weegee's Mansion Deuce
Double Fine Adventure
Rhythm Hunter: HarmoKnight

Not expecting Bayonetta 2 next year, but it would obviously be top of the list if it did happen to come out then.

I hope we see some new Platinum projects too. Dont care what platforms, just new games.

Yeah, with Revengeance and W101 coming out next year we should maybe be getting some word on what they're doing next. I imagine Kamiya's focus will be on his supervisory role on Bayo 2 once W101 is finished up before he moves on to new things.

Brofist. My favourite two as well. Both reference their place in the series while still being very good movies in their own rights. The difference between Goldeneye and TND is way more jarring than Casino Royale and Quantum.

I've seen the Moore flicks a thousand times so I know where I stand on them (eh).
Rewatching the old Connery ones has given me a level of respect for the first 3. All 3 are fantastic movies. Thunderball is where it starts to fall apart.

Also The Dark Knight is the weakest out of the Nolan trilogy easily, Ledger's performance made that movie to success it is. I still love the fuck out of it but I have plenty of issues with it that I could see changed.

I actually really feel that the Nolan Batman trilogy actually fits in well with the reboot Bond trilogy, each corresponding movie have similarities that I quite enjoy. Also the middle child problem.

You haven't seen Skyfall yet then?

Holy shit, reading up on Wiki about the Bond movies again, never clicked how much exactly Connery pocketed for returning to the franchise. I knew he had a cut of gross but 12.5%? That is fucking highway robbery! Grossed nearly double the Aussie Bond but still not Thunderball numbers, Connery took home $14.5 million on top of his salary! Back in 1971! Which is like 20 years worth of movies at that point! Damnnnnnnnn.

Also that Brosnan got paid $16.5 million salary for Die Another Day makes me a sad panda :/

Finished Oddworld Stranger's Wrath again today, first time since 2005. The second-to-last boss fight was ridiculously hard first time I played the game. Today I found a strategy that made it much more manageable.

Also, the most imposing single enemy encounter in the game can be made so much easier with one minor bit of pre-battle preparation: 40 rabbid fuzzles. Fluffy little piranas those things.

I really need to play it again. Maybe one of the under appreciated games ever made. Might even say it's one of the GOAT.

Edit: apart from GTA5 I'm not looking forward to anything enough to not wait till it drops in price. The luxury of not caring about online multi.

Also what do people think of the new Paper Mario? Heard mixed things.

Quite a bit I'm looking forward to, surprisingly.

- Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, because holy fuck does it look incredible, and in Platinum I trust.
- The Wonderful 101. Kamiya's next big thing, and Platinumtrustetc.
- Rayman Legends. Demo was fantastic stuff.
- Pikmin 3, as it's been a very long time coming, and I have a sneaking suspicion this will be Miyamoto's last big game.
- Crysis 3. I still enjoyed Crysis 2, and need another PC melting title.
- Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Horror as it should be.

Also really keen to see how GTAV, Watch Dogs, South Park, Luigi's Mansion 2, and The Last of Us shape up.

Revengeance is well and truly at the top of the list though, with TW101 following closely behind.

Seeing Skyfall this week. Currently 30 minutes into QoS.

As far as barman goes, I'd argue BB > TDK >>> TDKR. But yes, a lot of similarities with the new Bond films as far as the overall structure goes (well, parts 1 and 2 so far).

I really need to play it again. Maybe one of the under appreciated games ever made. Might even say it's one of the GOAT.

It's in my top five games ever. Easily.

Keen for Ground Zeroes to make 2013 too. I ordered the HD collection, so if it does 2013 will mark the year I play through at least five Metal Gear games.

Says online only, one day only.

Might check out the local DSE anyway on Wednesday. Couldn't hurt! I would prefer one of the round ones though.

Still showing offer ends today message. Guess it's valid till boxing day, as this is a boxing day sale after all. Hope you can pick up one in-store on wednesday.

Although a word of advice, some amazon reviews suggest that FM does not work while the phone is docked. Very weird as it defeats the purpose of a FM dock, hope it's not true. :/

The official site says otherwise: "Choose to wake up to your favourite music, radio station or buzzer alarm."
