New Bundle of Holding is up!
This time it's a Bundle of Fate; all inclusions this time around are using the Fate rules system. Included in the base price, amongst others, are the newly released Fate Core and Fate Accelerated Edition, which are systems without a setting; use them to make whatever game it is that your imagination can come up with. Whilst these two are already priced as 'pay what you want' on their own, this time charities get a taste.
Some may recall me pimping an e-book bundle Kickstarter by the name of Dinocalypse Now. The 4th book of the promised 7 from this was recently released to backers. "What has this got to do with anything?" you might ask. Well, the Spirit of the Century game included in the current bundle contains the setting where these e-books were based. Pretty cool stuff.
What I think I'll start doing from this point forward is if I buy a bundle and already have any of the included items, I will put them up for grabs after the bundle comes to a close. Now the last one has ended, I will offer up 3:16: Carnage Amongst the Stars.
If you would like it, don't be shy. I will also include bonus play sheets and the files to play the WWII "Pacific Hell" and the Left 4 Dead variations.

Saw Riddick last night, expecting little but was surprised that its pretty decent. I despised Chronicles of Riddick and have never seen it again but thankfully the new flick doesn't dwell too much on getting away from that clusterfuck and getting closer to the vibe of Pitch Black.

Diesel seemed to be really into it so I was hoping it would turn out alright. Nice that we can get a cool sci fi movie like it even after high quality stuff like Dredd bombed.

Here's some info about the character types to whet potential players' apetites (and I'll have some others pre-genned in case somebody needs one):
Species types are: Bothan, Droid, Gand, Human, Rodian, Trandoshan, Twi'lek or Wookiee.
Careers (and Specialisations) are: Bounty Hunter (Assassin/Gadgeteer/Survivalist), Colonist (Doctor/Politico/Scholar), Explorer (Fringer/Scout/Trader), Hired Gun (Bodyguard/Marauder/Mercenary Soldier), Smuggler (Pilot/ScoundrelThief), Technician (Mechanic/Outlaw Tech/Slicer).
In addition to your Career/Specialisation, you can also choose to be Force Sensitive, which gives you an additional Talent tree to choose from, but will spread your starting XP a little thinner.
If those races don't interest you, there are some other races that have been made by fans that I think I will accept if you can convince me you really want to be an Ewok or something.

Given I haven't seen any of the movies in the series (I think I saw a bit of the second or first one, but not sure... or maybe I'm thinking of XXX) should I start from the start?
Got to the first credits in MGSW.
That was actually a really fun ride. If I had been playing on a system with decent controls and the maps weren't designed for a handheld I think that would probably have actually been my favourite metal gear. I hope it bodes well for MGS5. The entire thing is stupid as fuck though lol
In particular, I think it had my favourite boss battles of any of the games. In gameplay, anyway. Obviously there was zero characterisation for any of the battles.

Usually in Australia if something breaks and someone tweets (or whatever) proof, just about every big game store in the country will follow hours after.
This is what I use:
Plugs into PS3, then 360 wireless dongle plugs into it allowing 360 pad to be used on PS3, works great. I am hoping I can use it on PS4 as well, though the new controller does look better than the DS3.

I wasn't going to buy anymore 360/PS3 games because I've got a PC now and I can't stand the horrible IQ of the current gen consoles, but GTAV is making it hard. Where the hell is the PC version?

Pitch Black is a decent low-budget sci-fi horror flick with a baddass antihero.
Chronicles of Riddick- takes to turn it into some bloated grand sci-fi epic but fails pretty miserably. FFS Judi Dench is in it as some mystic.
Riddick jettisons all the shit form the second and goes back to having a murderer as the antihero. It feels a little bit like an expensive star trek episode film indoors on a planet set (with lots of CG enhancement). But I found it pretty entertaining overall.
You can safely see Riddick without seeing the early movies. But it makes more sense if you watch Pitch Black (which was filmed in Australia). I feel you don't need to much about the second one so long as you know
he becomes a king at the end

FWIW, I actually really like Diesel as an actor... there's a certain sincerity with his acting (as hammy as it is) that I kinda dig.
I know, right? Once I saw the One launch and saw no PGR, I knew it would take a lot of convincing for me to get it day dot. Now the more I see of DC, the less I could really give a shit about FM5. You can see they're rushing it for launch, whereas Evo seem to be putting all their eggs in the right baskets.
TBH there really isn't a lot on One that I'm even remotely looking forward to seeing/playing. Possibly the Panzer Dragoon thingy, but I can just tell with something like DC (hell, I still play PGR4 now) and that shooter game I keep forgetting the name of, plus Second Sun... I reckon I'll have made the right choice come November.

Considering they had TWICE as many inside 50's as us we did fucking well in the backline pressure to stop them converting, along with their inability to kick a fucking ball straight.
Shame since last week was the first time all year we finally played 4 full quarters of footy. I knew if we could back it up with another 4 we could outplay Geelong, not to be though.
Two trips to Melbourne all the way from Adelaide within 6 days didn't help either <_>
A big ole fuck you to Chapman, enjoy watching from the sidelines. Cigarette bumming douche.
(no disrespect, has been their best player since Ablett and was good to talk to back in the ole Eureka days but Geelong are a weaker team without him and I won't be able to stand the wife if they win)

I'm currently watching all of Chuck on Swedish Netflix (no subs) for the first time, gotta say it cracks me up sometimes. Very funny show.

Btw if you're watching TV on PC check out Hulu a well, I get it for TDS and Colbert but they have other great shows too, currently addicted to season 3 of Ink Master lol.
