You have grenades don't forget dude. Throw 2 under and boom. Or the Grenade launcher on the left just after the RPG. Also I thought there was another RPG on the right hand side?

Only one rpg launcher spawned, that was on the right tower. Scoured the left and nothing at all. Resorted to grenades and three did nothing. Might be that a bethesda bug slipped in.

And it failed just like all the platforming sections in earlier chapters I mentioned before.

New Twisted Metal looks great though! The addition of the SP campaign makes it a must buy for me.

Vigilante 8 was always an arcadey version of I76 which never really gelled with me. I preferred the almost Mechwarrior 2-like simness of I76. Also kinda dug the style, too. It was weird, but it was also kinda awesome.

Skyrim is unequivocally a console first game. Every asset, every design, made first and foremost for consoles. Hence why I'll be waiting for a price drop/sale later on, when modders have cleaned up Bethesda's mess.

You are denying yourself an amazing game in the meantime, yeah sure there are some shitty textures but it's not even worth worrying about when the gameplay is as good as it is. The music is amazing too.

Not a single crash so far in 10 hours on PC either. Must be lucky or something.

I'm going to buy it, I'm just not rushing out the door for it. I mentioned it awhile ago, but I moved recently, so a whole bunch of the end-of-year big games that I'd otherwise buy on or around launch had to make the cut into next year. Skyrim was one of those, because both Oblivion and Fallout 3 soured me on Bethesda's game design (yes, I know that Skyrim is apparently closer to Morrowind, but I haven't played Skyrim ), and modders do a good job of fixing the mess Bethesda make with bugs, optimisation and graphical/interface woes. I'm happy to wait, essentially.

Battlefield 3 was the same until I received it as a gift.

EDIT: Uncharted 3 probably should have been cut into 2012 as well.

I have a high end PC. My PS3 and Wii fill the gaps for franchises I can't get on this platform. There's no real benefit for me picking the PS3 version when it looks worse and lacks mods, the latter of which is something very important to me when it comes to Elder Scrolls games.

I really want Saint's Row 3 but it too will have to wait. Assassin's Creed is one of those franchises I play and think to myself "god this is shit why do people like it" but then I keep playing them and I don't know why.

Its a 7/10 game for me (single player). Far worse pacing than Uncharted 2 with really weak encounter design, which is annoying as they had some good ideas going on (like enemies flanking more). And as insanely gorgeous as the graphics are, especially towards the end of the game, I honestly thought some of the early stuff (

) looked incredibly average (as in, what I expect from a modern console game, and nothing that blows me away).

Naughty Dog's Uncharted engines look ten fold better in brighter environments than it does in darker levels, in my opinion.
