My turbo manifold and J-pipe delete intake kit arrived for my Chaser. Prey for me Auto-Gaf, as things are starting to get expensive...
Regarding the BMW, that's what I thought. It was the same deal on my 128i when I had the oil pan gasket replaced. I used a local BMW specialist and it was pricey because of the labor involved.
98 328i.
Not the worst car in the world to do it on.
Have to remove the entire front suspension.
Also trying to sell my EVO 9 has been an exercise in frustration. Its all just kids that clearly don't have the money and just want to go for a joyride.
I'm about to trade it in on something newer for myself to daily drive.
I just posted in the Tesla P100D thread. What have I done?
Edit: I JUST DID IT AGAIN!
That thread's not going that badly...yet.
Haha yeah. I went to calm some of them down a bit. Tesla's hyperbole drives some folks crazy. You'd think gamers would be a bit more cautious about PR claims. But when it's Tesla? They go nuts.
Honestly, I kinda feel like the level of fanaticism behind Tesla is the same as level as No Man's Sky.
The only difference is that Tesla actually achieved their vision for their products.
I could be convinced to buy it if NoLove doesn't. I don't know about mileage/price on it thoAlso trying to sell my EVO 9 has been an exercise in frustration. Its all just kids that clearly don't have the money and just want to go for a joyride.

When I first saw No Man's Sky revealed at E3 during the live conference...I literally went "meh, this will get 7s". After being in the gaming industry for 10 years, I can literally look at games and predict 9 out of 10 times what's going to be great, good, generic, or bad. No Man's Land went on my "good, but will try too hard to be ambitious" list immediately and never left it no matter how much media they put out. It reminds me of Star Fox Adventures but with like..."Unlimited Adventures" and barely any action.
Same went for MGS V. Poor, poor Metal Gear, saw its demise coming.
And Final Fantasy XV. Never had high hopes for it, never cared for any of the footage. Then I watched the 50 minute footage from last week...what a disaster. The voice acting is some PS2 shit.
Fabled franchises turning into shit shows.
Gran Turismo Sport will be next, but mostly because the press will dog it while forgetting it's not a full fledged GT, despite Sony selling it full price, and marketing it as such.

Man, I just watched that 50 minute footage and dear lord... I'm not so much a graphics whore like Smokey and his triple SLI setup but the moment the resolution clearly went sub-720p(at numerous times too!), I just shaked my head and sighed. The story that they showed didn't interest me that much, the animations looked like shit(especially the walking animation during that Tifa & Selphie lookalike "date"), and the battle system looked like a heavyset version from Kingdom Hearts... yikes.
I can't even imagine if Tabata decided to release that shit next month... I think the outrage would've been worse than NMS. But more importantly, I don't even know if an extra 2 months are gonna be enough to fix that shit. That really looked like fncking trash.
One more thing about games, has anybody here picked up DiRT: Rally? If so, how good is it? I saw it at my Fry's this afternoon for $30 and I was almost tempted to pick it up since they ran out of Deus Ex on Xbone.
bruh, it's like you're completely ignoring the entire PC platform, or just focusing on AAAA devs.Yep. And all of this is the reason is why the I left this industry 7 years ago. I thought "wow! Unlimited free games and systems! AWESOME". And then you realize every one wants to just create the same 5 fucking games and nobody cares to innovate anymore. After the PS2, everything went to the shitter for the most part.
I'd love to play a solid JRPG on my PS4 and not a handheld. Welp, no I can't. Assholes at SE would rather cater to the lowest common denominator, instead of innovate with games like Musashi, Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Chrono Cross, and so forth. Even Sony got in on the action with Legends of Dragoon, Legaia, and Alundra (although it was only imported by Sony). Nonetheless, my point has been made.
Even today's RPGs are just Morrowind and Fallout knockoffs. It's all gotten stale to me.

I used to own a 330d and that car was tons of fun. Had to trade it away for an 520d because it wasn't an xDrive and it was a bit too small for our family. A really fun car though. Didn't go for 530d because I didn't feel it was worth the 16k premium it costs over here.

If you buy used, you could get a cherry VW Phaeton for $15k and just be like, fuck everything I have a W8.
Yea its not the worst job on the car, but its enough of a pain in the ass that I do not look forward to doing it at all.
My project creep got me and I still have parts for tie-rods, rear trailing arm bushings, several power steering hoses and new PS reservoir, crankcase ventilation valve + replacing vacuum hoses when I remove the intake manifold for the CCV.
I think that's everything!
Had my passenger side xenon bulb die. Only $160 a bulb for the BMW part! Bought 2 Philips D2S bulbs for $85 shipped from Retrofit Source. Saved the working driver's bulb and the light output of 2 new bulbs is excellent. The beam cutoff is so much more defined.
I'm more happy after moving from my apartment and 3 min walk to living with my girlfriend and a 8 mile drive. The decompression time is nice and I love driving my car daily.
Yo
How timeless is the NSX? Got behind one leaving work. Red. I'm saying wow in my head the whole time. Looks like it's in incredible condition. I suddenly really want to get one some day. It's making me feel some type of way in my chest.
It's a great car that is bulletproof. It was painless maintenance wise.
With the right mods it can still look modern but performance wise it won't be able to keep up with newer cars,
Best cockpit view ever!
I shouldn't have sold mine...the prices are going up =(
You should feel bad. I wouldn't get one with the attention of keeping up with modern cars anyway. What are they going for?
Explain/link? I'm curious as my best pal has one.The 335d's that the US got are fucking awful. Stay far far away.
You mean 120, that's okay thoughI have two iMacs for work and I prefer Apples (oddly enough the only Apple product I actually prefer, over other counterparts). I really don't like gaming on PCs. I understand there's a variety out there, but I just can't be bothered with specs and building and having another rig in my office. I'd build my PCs back in my teenage years, but I got tired of that too.
Although, it was always fucking awesome to play games like Unreal Tournament at something crazy like 60FPS with high settings across the board and play Need for Speed games with custom skins and textures.

Fox Body Mustang 5.0s are also suddenly shooting up in prices now too. Bleh. Always thought they were awful looking cars.
Next Stang will probably be the New Edge 99-2004 cars.

Damn, I wouldn't have given it up if I owned one. The prices are creeping into the $55K+ range in Canada for one...

I love how that iteration still sticks with people. Ive been off that and on a OG single Titan X for a while!
I choose the right time to bail on SLI, it's pretty much a joke now.
This looks like its straigh out of a video gameMaxda RX-9 guys!
Not releasing until 2020, but specs look good.
Under 1300kg, over 400HP from a turbocharged 1.6L rotary. Probably $65K nicely specced.

NSX is gorgeous. I don't know if I posted it here, but I almost bought a white on red supercharged one with full OEM Type R conversion 2 years ago.
Fuck SLI. Never again. I'll pay premium to have the latest Titan.
I own a 40th anniversary edition and there are some differences with it that make it unique. first only 1000 were made for the US market, so it will be the most rare and collectible of all RX8s. Second it has a unique color for the interior, the cosmos burnt red from the cosmos sport of 40 years ago, an interior color that is not available on any other RX8, any model, any year.
What most don't realize is that the 40th anniversary edition was the test bed for the suspension in the 2009 R3. It has the newer suspension geometry, the special bilstein shocks ,along with the foam-filled cross members for better vibration isolation and steering feel. It truly feels and handles better than any other 2008 model. And it also introduced the rotary shape wheel design that became standard in 2009 and also was added to the Mazdaspeed3 GT.
The similar suspension in the 40th anniversary edition is ONLY available in the R3 models now. It is NOT available in the other RX8s. It has unique badging also. There will ONLY be one 40th anniversary edition ever made, no matter which RX Mazda comes out with next.
Speaking of Mazdas, I found a 40th Anniversary Edition RX-8 w/ 50k miles on it for pretty damn cheap. I did a bit of research and it seems like most of the issues that plague RX-8s were fixed in 2008/2009, but I don't have a clear answer on that one. Found out this about the Anniversary Edition in specific:
Two owners, previous one was only putting about 3k miles on it a year. It's located in the fancier part of WA (Bellevue), so I'm thinking this was likely a pet car of the prior owner. Place selling it also offers a 90 day warranty.
Assuming I do my research and know what to look for, this look good?

Hype!
This looks like its straigh out of a video game
The tail end paying hommage to the RX7FD is cute, but honestly I find the rest of the design to be uninspiring, and the nose to be downright ugly *__*
Yup, I noticed, personally I prefered this one:These are all fan made renders.
