Bleach has Orihime. What does Black Cover have?

It was mostly boring.

Not to mention the events leading up to it was pretty boring.

Like, before the show was about all these high stakes and emotions and fun, and then it all suddenly felt...average, I guess?

It's like getting off a roller coaster only to be told that the ride is still going as the park manager lectures you about his business management, or something like that.

GAF-chan,

You are secretly telling me they are remaking the Bartender anime to adapt the whole manga right?

...

Right?

Isn't five seasons enough? I love Symphogear, but jeez. I read a spoiler suggesting next they're fighting
gods
. What's left to beat???
symphogear S4/5 spoiler stuff:
This is specifically what's mentioned as coming in the final episode which tracks with stuff in earlier seasons
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anunnaki

fun fact: looking up stuff about the anunnaki just leads you to a fairly basic wiki page and a bunch of reptilian conspiracy/planet x doomsday stuff so this is prime symphogear shit. be prepared for the planet nibiru to collide with earth in symphogear

I mean Chunni exams is what made pretimeskip Naruto great though.

Heck the first tournament arc in Yu Yu Hakusho was amazing.

I honestly believe it's the execution that matters because tournament arcs can be good.

It seemed like yet another episode of Shokugeki if you asked me. Missing that intro of the E10 wasn't that meaningful. Kuga, Rindou and Tsukasa are the only ones that will matter for this anyways and you wouldn't have gotten anything about Rindou or Tsukasa until later on anyways.

Rindou is going to super popular though. The last time they did a popularity poll, here's what the result was:

1) Erina (3350 votes)
2) Hisako (3081)
3) Alice (3042)
4) Soma (2795)
5) Tadokoro (1862)
6) Shinomiya (1669)
7) Rindou (1353)
8) Takumi (1207)
9) Nikumi (743)
10) Hayama (737)

Tadokoro's been tumbling down the list forever

Yesssssss. I wanna see the ladies beat ALL the doomsday scenarios. Biki IS the impossible lmao.
It's going to be hard for S5 to top that line. So epic.

Most every Tourney arc drags the pacing of the show down to a crawl.

I told ya'll. You watch shonen for NAKAMA and the fight scenes. Tournaments are where the most nakama are formed and some of the coolest fights are held. Goku vs. Master Roshi/Tien, Yusuke vs. Toguro... I'm still hella salty that we didn't get Negima's tournament arcs adapted. Negi vs. Jack Rakan is one of the coolest fights of all time.

Oh. I see. I would've thought you would've seen the tournament arc seeing as you got about that far anyways. It was a fun arc.

I can't even right now...

My favorite part of Soma, in my experience of watching the anime’s first season, is the little Karaage arc. That has a “real world” situation of competing restaurants and an interesting kind of problem solving Soma does to combat the fast food chain. It felt more dynamic and engaging than the highly artificial school setup, with “battles” where winning seems completely arbitrary and the foes not interesting enough on a character level. The stereotypical shounen school setting (as well as the generally bland direction and animation and the gratuitous and overbearing sexual teasing) is ultimately what killed my interest in Soma.

The end of the Second Season has them working in restaurants and being mentored. It was actually one of the high points of the season, as it shows Soma (and others) learning how high-class cuisine works with the high-maintenance of working a restaurant.

The Moon Festival Arc we are on now is good.

Poor Soma, falling down the poll and getting rekt by Waifu culture.

Osomatsu-san S2 - 01

They managed to be as meta and full of references as the first episode of the first season, but hopefully without someone threatening to sue and getting the episode deleted from existence.

CG Jyushi was adorable, and probably super expensive.

Hisako should be first place.

Well at least there are a lot of Hisako lovers. She is best girl after all.

That makes no sense to me. As others have said the current arc, which they'll be adapting in the anime, is still ongoing. Unless it's ending in the next month or something I don't see where they can end it and offer a satisfying end point. That is unless they're finally anime only ending us.

this is like mha or haikyuu where this series is set for jump and they can do more anime whenever.

If they're doing it, they basically have to be going up through
Hayama's betrayal and stopping at the point Soma wins. The other option is that they get to the Regiment de Cuisine and stop before it actually starts.

I find it very unlikely they'd end the manga now anyways. It's still one of the top 10 best selling manga and only has like 230 chapters.

Sure, but, there's really no great place to cut it. Though, I guess thinking about it they'll just do what they did in Season 1 and cut it sort of wherever even if it's in the middle of stuff. So weird. Makes MHA S2's end point look like a stunningly perfect place to wrap for the season.

I meant the arc, not the manga as a whole.

So I tried watching Black Clover this morning, but why is Asta shouting at everyone 90% of the time? lol. It's as shounen as shounen gets. Granted, I've never read the manga, but I bet he's shouting at everyone in there too. :p

Still waiting for Friday so I can binge watch ID-0, then off to see BR 2049

They ended the first season as they were starting a tournament arc, so I assume they'll do something similar here. Maybe they'll do a short 4th season or OVA series to wrap up the current arc whenever its done

Aiii

So not worth it
When are we getting more Little Witch Academia. It has been like two months, I need more Akko in my life already.

But theres a clear stopping point they can end the anime at, even in the manga the characters took a sort of break at the same points anyway.

Or they could just a random original ending.

Well this is our main character transported to another world anime, love this animes take on Hideyoshi (who is a vampire). Ive missed my vampire hot boys since Owari no Serafu ending and also the unforgetable DiaLover with Ayato Sakamaki. Sadly theres no character like him here, but the female character is just as determined as yui was there or more here, well she speaks so much here its almost in the way.

I like the vampires, werewolves, and even cute mascot character. More.

Yeah I realized that when responding to Metroid. I suppose what's throwing me is how they absolutely rush through an entire chapter (Edit: 2 chapters) of material right in the first two minutes, cutting stuff as if it were already animated (I don't think they were? I never saw the OVAs but I thought they were mostly side content.) So it feels like they're rushing to somewhere, but I can't really figure out what they're rushing to.

New Game!! (S2) Ep. 2

Damn I didnt expect that drama in this episode. The director is pretty cool when she's actually serious about stuff. Yagami sure messed up there.

The game idea sounds kind of fun, especially with the cute plushy aesthetic they're going for.

Idk Soma is very charismatic, he very typical protagonist but 100 first chapter of Soma is very good

i didn't watch/read a lot of soma but he just struck me as super generic, just with added charisma.

like, the girls were more MCs than he was imho
