Alan Moore once wrote a pornographic comic novel in an attempt to elevate it with good storytelling, but I haven't read it yet. I did skim it though, and I didn't find the art very attractive, so even if the story is good, I'm not sure it qualifies as good porn.

There is precisely one porn that I remember having a genuinely good storyline, but I can't remember what it was called for the life of me.

He's not crazy, he's just seen too much reality to remain bound by social norms, so he became a vegetarian, anarchist, practicing magician and occultist who worships a Roman snake-deity named Glycon. He also claims he once ran into his own fictional character at a bar. I don't doubt him.

I should probably start reading the comics. So what is the general consensus on the current lineup? I think I heard the first ones are mediocre and the later ones are slightly better. It's been awhile since I thought of the ATLA comics.
