I actually have no idea who some of these people are or how they will appear.

They better kill off a bunch to reset the board. There are just way too many now.

Some of these roles are small and supporting, the world has them, what would killing them do? Beast in a supporting role is fine. Most of these are. That said, it obviously balloons the budget.

Shang Chi is also fine to support but that actor has become annoying and arrogant, but not as much as Pedro-handsy Pascal.

Couldn't give a crap about the vast majority, and that's even at the character level, let alone actor level.

So the solution is to cram literally everyone in the movie and pray it all somehow makes sense?

Given the stories that the directors had playing cards with the actors and their salary and actors saying they did their scenes alone against green suited stand-ins so the other actor could be added in later....yup it has all the hallmarks of a TITANIC mess.

But the Russos are pretty good with Marvel, so if they stick to the actual charismatic actors in that roster and just use the others as cameos it might work. Hell, just "bad Tony Stark" could probably carry the film if he just goes from scene to scene, fucking up various legacy teams.

It is interesting that almost all of the 'young replacements' are missing from that cast list. No Hailee Steinfeld, no iron girl, no Ms. Marvel. Not that I care for most of them, but if there was ever a "pass the torch" time, it's now. Though this is basically a part 1 film, right?

Maybe. Spider-man is a huge aspect of MCU now, even with Sony's shenanigans, it's weird that he has not showed up on any announcement panel so far. At least it aint looking good in my eyes. Will see.

Yep, it's the same exact hook as Deadpool and Wolverine, except at least they hid most of their cameos for a surprise. It's why I had to sit on my thoughts with that movie before realizing that it has no rewatching appeal and might actually be ranked last on the list of Deadpool movies.

At the end of Doomsday, I've always imagined a massive twist: the old Fox X-Men, Captain Marvel, Thor, and even Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man all get wiped out together in one shocking, catastrophic moment.

Then comes the real hook — Wolverine, Deadpool, Tom Holland's Spider-Man (and maybe the Punisher or another hero) witness it happen. That shared trauma becomes the moment they form a pact to take down Doom once and for all

1.) Andrew Garfield becomes venom. Leading to future spiderman and venom movies. But an Obi Wan and Vader type of relationship.

2.) Somehow at the end of Secret wars, Bruce banner is killed and Maestro is born. Set up as the villain of the next set of movies.

It is so hilarious to me that they spent 2018/2019 hyping the fuck out of Captain Marvel as the next big thing, as the ultimate Strong Female Character, and then drop her like a sack of potatoes. I mean look at that roster. It's huge. It's like a Smash Bros character select screen. And Carol Danvers isn't on that. That speaks volumes.

Maybe they shouldn't have made her this infallible god like being with zero weaknesses, and they wouldn't have written themselves into a corner.

I used to use the music industry term for it, 'microwave artist' which is basically an musician who comes in, successfully takes advantage of a trend and rides a wave for a few months (or couple years at best) of songs to profit from, then disappears off of the face of the earth and no one talks about them anymore.

Just be glad they can read the tea leaves and course correct when a character or actor isn't resonating with the audience. Seems like Marvel is remembering who their audience is and is writing accordingly. 22:5 male:female ratio as well.

They want this to emulate no way home in which none of the heavy hitters were confirmed but everyone was 99% sure they would be in it when they bought their ticket.
