Avowed Releases November 12, 2024

This was a weird trailer sometimes it looked great and other times it was uninspired.. flat looking..

It could be that they removed it because they weren't supposed to mention it. Meaning it's still possible that the November 12th date was legitimate.

I mean it's a western AAA game so of course it is.

Plus if I recall, the previous game was pretty woke.
Pentiment? Grounded? There was nothing woke about those.

Pillars of Eternity 2 had a mix of Caribbean and Pacific Islands culture so it had plenty of non-Caucasian characters. I don't know whether it qualifies as woke, depends on everyone's definition.

It wasn't that but if I remember there was a lot of talk about how the male characters are bumbling or stupid.

Might be some talks about Outer Worlds.

But I honestly have no idea what is woke and what is not.

No interest in learning either. Game felt fine to me.
If it's about Outer Worlds then yeah I suppose some characters could be considered woke by some standards.

Also in PoE 2 the most influential non-God character is a Black woman but it makes sense considering the setting.

I really don't think there will be obvious pandering in Avowed but time will tell (hopefully soon).

The Avowed trailer looked much better than the original trailer. I need to see combat again, but for the most part the world looks interesting.
