Resident Crybaby
This game has had some ups-and-downs as far as public reception goes over the years. The pre-rendered cinematic generated a lot of hype, the first gameplay reveal left a lot of people skeptical, and now today I get the feeling that the vibe is cautiously optimistic.

We're just days away from release at this point. Reviews should drop on February 13th.

I'm feeling good about this game. Obsidian has such a fantastic track record, they delayed the game by several months even though it was complete, and used that time for further polish and bug fixes, and this is the first Obsidian game under the Xbox Games Studios banner, so it's safe to assume they've had extra resources, time, and budget allocated to them as needed.

I'm guessing an 88 review average.

Where do you think Avowed reviews will land?

I'm gonna say 83. I think it'll review pretty well, be a decent game, and get absolutely destroyed by the anti-woke crew (they deserve it).

High 80's, it'll get a nice bump from journalists for being so....."inclusive"....

I expect the user reviews to lean somewhat negative.

I think releasing with only two weeks after KCD2 will impact its score as I expect Avowed to be way less system driven and not as good in terms of writing

This seems like it's a game made for the modern gaming journalist, not so much for the common gamer.
So around 90 from journalists. Maybe 70 from gamers.

Low to mid 80s, but probably deserves closer to low to mid 60s. I think it's going to be highly overrated just like HB2, this game was tailor made to appeal to journalists just like DA:V

This game will be extremely oudated in most aspects of its design, with bland writing/lore, and wooden/stiff NPCs and characters in a much less grand world than something like Skyrim.

The teaser trailer looked a lot better than what we're getting from what I can see....Avowed looks like low-rent Bethesda to me....and Bethesda of today is not good. You had ALL the Xbox media stans come out in full defense of it after a recent playthrough which has me mad suspect too, like Matty Plays gushing over it. Press X for Doubt.

the game looks like high 70s at best.

Game looks bad, but it also appears to have an LGBT agenda and gaming journalists LOVE that shit.

That may help with review scores, but will bite them in sales. Ask BioWare.

Never change 🤣

GOATsidian incoming

Probably too many peoples in here to fish for receipts on their perceptions of Baldur's Gate 3 pronouns being the complete opposite for Avowed to even count.

low 80s, which wont mean much, almost anything is getting a low 80s nowadays, including starfart, hellbore2
if it goes higher, you have my attention

Similar to Veilguard. Game will get a pretty good MC rating, but truthfully should get less.

I think it'll get 80-84, but in reality is a 75 game tops.

Last year they previewed a big spider fight. Looked like junky combat and gameplay and endless HUD everywhere. And this was their showpiece battle.

Voted a little bit higher, i guess its going to be 87 or something, don't see how it gets low 80s when garbage like The Outer Worlds got high score and GOTY nomination.

I'm thinking 80s. But for me personally, I'm gonna need to find some type of gritty reshade in order to be able to play this. It may be fun but they really fucked up compared to the look of that initial trailer.
