Side note, that was cute, but I'm really not a fan of huge public proposals unless both parties agree. Like proposing to someone on live TV -- it sort of forces them to either say yes, or humiliate you in front of thousands of people.

I once said that to a girl friend (not a girlfriend) of mine when we saw something like this on live TV a few years back. Do you know what she said to me?

Apparently, I wasn't being romantic enough. You can probably see why we weren't that way involved.
