Ask me about the GAF Notebook
So we had this thread yesterday about hip-hop/pop star BoB going off on Twitter about how the Earth is Flat, everyone who thinks the Earth is round is a fool, and fuck scientists like Neil degrasse Tyson cause they are liars.

NeoGAF B.o.B. Flat Earth thread

Anyways he went and made a diss track to all the round earthers and specifically Neil Degrasse Tyson. It was posted late in the other thread, but figured it might deserve its own thread.

I'm late to all this, it's all a joke right? Noone is that stupid.

I hope this genre takes off. It kind of started with that ICP song, but this might help it get to the next level. A whole collection of music where ignorant ass shitheads who don't understand science get mad at people who do.

Where's the track where Lil Wayne hates on Isaac Newton because gravity is fake?

I am not necessarily saying weezy hates science he was just the first rap name that came to mind

Am I going insane or does the image he used feature a curved earth? Like, if you draw a line there is definitely curvature to the planet or do these people not recognise the atmosphere as
not being land?

B.o.B just gave me an epiphany. I feel enlighted! Thank you BoB, I'll watch my step from now on so I don't fall into space.

I don't think this is as much of a joke as it is a huge publicity stunt. And it's working -- I didn't know who B.o.B. was last week.

I have always liked this dude's music for the most part, and this beat is nice....but cmon Bobby....get it together man.

Plot Twist: He is doing this on purpose to get attention. He knows how much "How do magnets work?" got talked about. By taking this stance he can honk a lot of attention from people. Attaching Degrasse-Tyson is just free marketing.

Downplaying the holocaust and making casual references to a reknown white supremacist antismite is good PR ?

From the "there is no such thing as bad publicity" point of view, at least.

Yup, giving props to Hitler is great for your mindshare. Oldest PR trick in the book.

I didn't say it was a GOOD publicity stunt. I'm just saying this comes suspiciously close in timing to Tila Tequila's recent flat-earth claims -- dude probably figured if that could get everyone to remember she existed for a second, something similar (and more exaggerated) might work for him.
