It's even wilder than that technically earth is subdivided in binary grids that each project a 2 dimensional hologram onto the 6 exposed surfaces that you can see from within any given grid cell. When you travel you're not actually moving through space so much as space is moving around you. You're, essentially, altering the display on those exposed surfaces. The universe is fucking kray kray man. Especially once you consider the fact that those vivid hologram representations are created by the quantum fluctuations present on the thin lattice that represents our 2 dimensional universe. It's like playing D&D with an 8 sided die but it's technically 64 sided and the possibility of rolling any given digit is equal to the square root of that digit multiplied by true value of pi to construct a spherical organism that can thrive in the cold vacuum of space.

Dude, flat earthers are people that think a spherical (or spheroid) world is impossible because you'd fall off unless you were at the top of the planet.
