Why did you have to pull the Sosa card, ahole! :D

And get his money terms right! He is the 17 million dollar dominican! The extra 18 million kicks in if we trade him and someone needs to pick up the 35 million dollar man! :(

Eminem

goddamit, Griese!
haha, he demanded incentives for making the all-star game or getting comeback player of the year and wouldn't sign the contract without them. he's definitely confident...

when the hell did fred hickman get hired by espn? hes on sportscenter right now. he was the yankees pre-game/post-game host and a YES network reporter.

Wasn't he one half of the excellent CNN Sports Tonight way back in the day?

i like fred hickman but he doesnt fit into espn's usual sportscenter type. maybe espn is trying to get a different route.

the giants outfield is pretty nice now...they did sign jermaine dye a little while ago right?

the current rumor is that astro's offered beltran at least 6 years, $96 million.
Rumor denied by the Astros owner...basically confirming it, since he wouldn't say they didn't offer it for no reason. :p

Willco

Hollywood Square
And in other news, the Washington Nationals signed C Brian Schneider to a one-year $2 million deal, avoiding arbitration with the best defensive catcher in all of baseball.

That is ridiculous. I can't believe people think this guy is that good. He had an amazing postseason....but just look at his stats over the past few years. He's a very good hitter, but not great.

Speaking of tools. I was watching Pulp Fiction earlier, and the scene were the big black guy gets raped was on. Bruce Wills went upstairs and looked at all the tools b4 finally deciding on the sword. The reason I bring that up wasd because there was a dude dressed in all black leather, I think they're called gimps. Anway when he saw Bruce Willis get free, he just made weird sounds, he didn't yell for help. Are gimps mentally ill, or is it just part of the act that they don't talk? I imagine in a stiuation like that, if he had the ability to yell, or talk, he probably would have said something. It would have saved 2 lives, and stopped tha cop from getting severe payback from the big black dude.

Someone passed out on my bed, I will eventually fall asleep on this chair, but til lthen I must percevieir, that's definately not how iyou spell that word, but hopefully ou know what I mean.

Edit: This sis the baseball thread, didn;t know, very sorry to disturb. In order to not look stupid, I think that Vazquez wil lbe a great pitcher, I wish that the Yankees don't trade him for RJ (even though he is my favorite pitcher of all time). Maybe they can get rid of Posada and someone else. El Duque was also the man, he will be missed.

Eric Milton signs a 3-year, $25.5 million deal with the Reds.

Kevin Millwood close to signing a 1-year deal with the Indians.

No, Astros have handcuffed themselves to the radiator and seemingly have put all their eggs in the Beltran basket. Beltran brings Clemens. Clemens brings whatever free agents are left.

Exactly.

Astros have done JACK SHIT this offseason. If we don't get Beltran, there's not much left to choose from.

I just want to know one way or the other about Beltran. I'm tired of the damn waiting. We still haven't fixed the bullpen...ugh.

I hope none of our resident Yankee fans take this the wrong way, but the day that Steinbrenner kicks it will be a good day for the competitive balance of baseball.

you mean when he hands the team off to his sons who are already learning the steinbrenner way (they're current upper management employees).

if steinbrenner sold the yankees and bought the braves you'd be a pig in shit.

Never be sorry to wish for the (hopefully slow, painful)death of Steinbrenner.

I dunno Joe, I don't know if they have the pervasive, all encompassing NEED TO WIN that Papa Steinboss has. If they don't they might get bored and do a lackluster job of running the team. Of course, if Cashman were running the team with a $160 million payroll, it would be a better performing team than the bloated albatross that Steinbrenner has constructed.

As for Steinboss owning the Braves... yeah. I would be. But it's never gonna happen, so why worry about it? It's more fun this way, where I get to have a legitimate beef about the shitty situation than play what ifs.

as long as the money rolls in and the sons rebuild the farm system (I;M LOOKING AT YOU HAL STEINBRENNER!!!!) then i wouldnt have a problem. you cant blame it on the yankees that steinbrene has some mental problem or something...... and i hate to say this but tere will never be any competitive balance in baseball.

Agreed. Signing him also means me and my bro buy another mini-pak for the season. Then you got Berkman out for awhile which is going to make it a little tough.

TINO! :clap clap: TINO! :clap clap: TINO! :clap clap:

vazquez will be a good pitcher, no doubt. i really do wish he could stay with the yankees but if thats what it takes to get the unit then that's what it takes. its a shame it was vazquez though. i would rather see them send over mussina or posada to be honest.
