madness. Good single but Read my Mind...read my mind.

Love that track too, but I like Bones even more than it. I've been listening to all 3 albums a lot lately. I think I was a bit harsh on Day and Age initially. It's got some great stuff on it. Hot Fuss > Sam's Town > Day and Age, though.

Top 5 singles for me:

1a. When You Were Young/Runaways
1b. Runaways/When You Were Young (just can't choose yet)
2. Somebody Told Me
3. Bones
4. Dustland Fairytale
5. Read My Mind

Hot Fuss is still my favorite album of all time, by any artist. Their newer stuff doesn't hold up as much, but it's still very good.

BTW just watched Live At Royal Albert Hall for the first time.....great concert. Between that (from 2009) and especially Runaways, I swear Brandon's voice is getting MUCH stronger with age.

My man!

Solo, I think you might enjoy this: Runaways live

At work now, but will check it after. Thanks!

I've watched this so many times. Great performance of Sam's Town.

I think Day & Age is top notch. Love all their work.

I love that concert. I bought the DVD day 1. I rather listen to most of the Day & Age songs live, so I play it all the time.

Spaceman, Losing Touch and especially Dustland Fairytale are fantastic live.

I think I prefer Dustland Fairytale album version.....wasn't a huge fan of the live reprise. Great song either way though.

It's a tough choice, but when I listened to this version... my god.

You're at work, that's the performance on Letterman, you probably already seen it.

Just listened to Runaways single and found it utterly boring. A fan of The Killers earlier stuff, but not this.

If Runaways is anything to go by, this album will be much more Sam's Town and much less HF/D&A. Got that very Springsteeny vibe to it that a lot of Sam's Town did.

Apparently they've played 4 new songs so far (Runaways included). I refuse to listen to the other three until the album though!

Ive listened to three of them. I quite liked what I heard! But it's not a very good idea because you're judging by a youtube video with poor quality. So you're right in avoiding it.

I remember when Hot Fuss came out, I loaded it on my mp3 player but never really listened to it. So one day while at work this song comes on (I listen on shuffle) and I think to myself, wow I have never heard this Cure song before, so I listen to it and think Robert Smith sounds really good on this song. So after the song, I look at my player and notice it was a tune off of Hot Fuss, I proceeded to listen to the entire album and Brandon Flowers really either intentionally or unintentionally did sound a lot like Smith.

He used a LOT of autotune on Hot Fuss, which he hasn't since. I think his voice keeps getting better.

Yup, liked it overall and I think Crossfire is up there with the Killers' greats (even if it isn't technically one.)

Can't say Runaways grabbed me right away, but it usually takes time for music to grow on me.

I love all of their past albums though.

Top 5 songs
5. Shadowplay
4. Sam's Town
3. When We Were Young
2. Dustland Fairy Tale
1. All These Things I've Done

No way has it been 4 years since Day and Age. You guys are lying.

Shit.

Anyway, Hot Fuss > Sawdust > Sam's Town > Flamingo > Day and Age.

4 days later and I now believe it to be true. I need this album NOW.

It's definitely ramped up on my list after listening to almost constantly for a few days. The only thing I find fault with is the transition to the bridge.

"...We used to look at the stars and confess our dreams..."

Still feels kind of clumsy to me. The transition should have been longer and smoother, less abrupt. It's probably my fourth favorite single of theirs.

1a. Mr. Brightside
1b. Read My Mind
1c. When You Were Young
4. Runaways
5. Somebody Told Me
6. A Dustland Fairytale
7. Human
8. Crossfire
9. Tranquilize

Getting super hype now. Don't think I've been this excited since In Rainbows for an album release. And in terms of Killers albums, haven't been this hyped since Sams Town.

Hoping for the best with this one, but Hot Fuss will always remain the big favorite for me considering it's actually one of the rare albums that I can listen to multiple times in one day.

1 - All These Things I've Done
2 - Smile Like You Mean It
3 - Read My Mind
4 - Move Away
5 - Midnight Show
