How the fuck would you know which is better, considering neither of them are out?ManaByte said:It doesn't change the fact that Modern Combat is not nearly as good as the PC game.

Right click on your Battlefield 2 icon on the desktop, click on properties. Now on the part where it says target, add +szx 1920 +szy 1200..hacked said:Anyone know if the game has widescreen support?
1920x1200 is what I am looking for.

Any others wanting a different resolution just change the 1920 and 1200 to the resolution you want to use.
So it should look similar to mine (though i installed to a different directory and used a different resolution)
""C:\Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050"
Now, if you use a widescreen resolution like me, you have to change the FOV (field of view) to a proper widscreen FOV (so it looks correct). If you don't use widescreen, ignore this.
So those that do, go into your 'Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Settings\' directory and edit the 'VideoDefault.con'. Look for the line that reads 'renderer.fieldOfView 1' and change it to 'renderer.fieldOfView 1.1' and your FOV will be correct (higher the number = wider FOV, so you could even cheat a bit and make it 1.2 but it wouldn't be accurate, but would let you see a little more to the sides. The adverse affect of this is you will have a farther zoomed back regular view.
Something is wrong with your config.. since I have it on high @ 1280x960 w/ 2xAA on a overclocked 9800 Pro. Could be the cpu I suppose, since I'm running faster than 3200+ speeds.Project Midway said:oh my god this game is demanding. only medium settings with my rig; 2800, 6600gt, 1gig.
But fun as hell....
.hacked said:weird I will have to do this on my desktop (2x GT6800Ultra in SLI, AMD FX-55, 2gig ram) but my laptop (P4 3.6ghz, X800, 2gigs ram) it lets me select it in the options.
I guess with ATI you don't need to trick it?
still, neither of them are final. playing a beta of one and a demo of another. especially a beta on PS2 vs a final released game on 360 vs. a demo on the PC. lets hold are judgements of "one is better" until we can play them.Wario64 said:some of us were lucky to get into the PS2 beta test in April![]()
yeah something was wrong. I installed the newest forceware drivers and now I can play high@1024x768.pestul said:Something is wrong with your config.. since I have it on high @ 1280x960 w/ 2xAA on a overclocked 9800 Pro. Could be the cpu I suppose, since I'm running faster than 3200+ speeds.

morbidaza said:Okay this is odd. I downloaded the file...and tried to run it. It says it's not a valid windows app. So I try to delete it, and it says it can't delete it, because it's in use by another app. So I restart...still have the same problem. All of the downloads finished instantly. I used TrueDownload for one, mozilla for one, and IE for one and they all gave the same problem. These came from FileFront. ANy help?

Dr.Guru of Peru said:Are you sure its even on? Alot of people are experiencing a problem where even if they enable AA, the game doesnt turn it on. If you have an ATI card, download the 5.6 catalyst and select app preference in drivers. Then turn AA on.
EDIT: ...just looked at ur graphics card. You might not be able to run any AA unless you want a huge performance hit.

Buggy spawns, three people running for it, retard gets in the car and speeds away without letting the other two hops on and he immediately slams head on into a tank and dies.
Jet spawns on the carrier and retard gets in it only to nose dive right into the ocean.
Guy loads up a blackhawk with a full load, takes off the carrier and bails out over the ocean letting the chopper crash killing everyone.
