Opened up the recommended ports on my router and the game has been great [PS3]

Loving the game so far. Only complaint is some of the smaller maps on certain modes.

What exactly do you have to do to qualify for a perfect run of Going Hunting? I just did it without getting hit and doing everything pretty quickly but didn't receive the trophy.

This fucking game has me by the balls. When I'm not playing I'm thinking about what I'm gonna do when do when I get back on. Battlelog has me looking through stats when I'm supposed to be working :/

One thing...do not underestimate cover fire! Use it! It saves lives!

Let's party up sometime ! We're usually on at the same timeish, and if you check my battlelog you'll see that I'm one of the MVP's in almost every match. Maybe together we can win some. So tired of teammates who don't understand "Defense" and "Offense."

A-91 for Engineer, scopes and foregrip will make you awesome. I had to stop using that gun to experience the other guns. I was relying on it too much.

I only use it now for when the opposing team is really good. :)

I cannot wait. I'm still using the AEK, which is also awesome. I'm also enjoying Engineer a lot more since I can play Conquest now. I just wish I could use the M4A1 on the Russian side since it's so much better than the AKS-74u and the SCAR.

They're not too big, not at all in my opinion. Firstorm and Caspian are the biggest maps and I've yet to encounter it being barren. There's always a tank or chopper, etc getting up all over your ass.

Felt this way when I started playing, too. The thing that "fixed" it? Scopes and foregrips and just getting used to it. It's still a pain to shoot someone at long distances, but close-quarter battles is easy enough. I also find that hip firing while moving,prone, jumping is way too easy. I can already tell some people might hate me for doing that.

I was playing around with fraps taking screens and recording video and I was wondering if anybody would be interested in me uploading a video of the game running at 2560x1440 with high-to-ultra settings? A minute of video is like 4GB (the videos are running at 60fps), so it probably won't be that long (maybe 20-30 seconds of video). I'm open to suggestions on the best part of campaign to record for maximum beauty.

So, any way for non-US peeps to get the Dr. Pepper code? What does it include? Skins, dogtags? I've knifed someone with a limited edition dogtag. Shame, they should have let you use the tag of someone you knife, no? :)

Anyone have an extra Dr. Pepper code they're willing to give out? :)

I'm just loving the game so far. Funnily enough, even my friends who aren't big FPS fans are liking it. One of my friends can't kill that well, but I still see him playing. Laying down medpacks, reviving, etc.

That's what I like about it, you don't have to be a killing machine to have fun.

i have more points in vehicles than all my classes put together, and 1 vehicle kill for every 4 player kills. i pretty much only play this game to fly things and use tanks, lol

Huge COD fan here.. picked this up today on the Target Bomba.

I am going to be honest, I went in expecting shit, I didn't like BC2 and the beta was kind of janky.

However...

Just over an hour playing Conquest and holy hell its so fun! I don't understand why I have to enter the next round before quiting though, Also how do I unlock new weapons and grips and stuff?

I can honestly see myself making time to play both MW and BF3

That's all.

You can buy codes on EBay for cheap. I did it since I'm in Canada and don't have access to the promo. Worked fine. The price for the Dr. Pepper EA promo codes went up a bit in the last couple of days because of BF3 but it's still affordable.

yeah the entering a new round before quitting is pretty retarded.

you can unlock new attachments for specific guns by getting kills with that gun. unlock new guns/gadgets by getting any sorts of points with a class (capturing points, assists, whatever) and same thing with vehicles

Sony and Microsoft's services likely collect data on everything you do if you connect your console to the Internet, but if all you do is play video games it's hardly as important as Origin scanning your tax return. However, they probably know that you love watching gay porn on the PS3 web browser, info that they will eventually use to ruin your marriage which eventually results in you killing yourself and 15 others after your wife takes half your stuff and the kids.

Privacy on the Internet is very important.

Steam does scan what applications you have on your system as well. If you value privacy you might as well write off all modern PC gaming. I'm wondering how Origin is enjoying all of the very sensitive legal information on the PC I run BF3 on (not my information, other people's info), but that game is just that good.

All you have to do is press ESC if you're on PC

I love the tanks. Only hate it when someone hijacks it or a tool drives it and goes straight to enemy lines only to have it blown up in mere seconds. Nerd-rage inducing!

You have to keep using the gun to "level" it up. Say, the SCAR, you keep using it to unlock various scopes, grips, heavy barrel, etc.

It's a double-edged sword. On one hand it's good for unlock whores, but tedious if you just want to change guns.

For weapons and gadgets, just keep playing that class and you can see your Assault, Engineer, etc. meter going up. When it's full, you unlock something. This is separate from unlocking Specializations and Camos, etc.

Basically, the game will make you feel like you're always unlocking something. Which I like.

Was worth it for me since I paid 2.50US for 5 codes and had one leftover from Shift 2 launch so it was a good price for a skin pack and 5 dogtags. Like I said in the previous post, the prices went up a bit lately so I dunno, up to you if you think it's still a good value.

Besides the inevitable bugs that happen with almost every game, I am happy with my purchase.


50.99 in less than a week tho? Damn EA. Must have rubbed alot of people the wrong way.



Does this mean MW3 has won already? :(

That's why reviews of multiplayer games are such bullshit. Did reviews mention the rubberbanding on large maps, the horrible vehicle unlock system or the numerous technical glitches?
