Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

You are confusing the accuracy with the general aiming itself. It doesn't matter that firing is more accurate with controllers, if 9 out of ten times I got shot before I could even aim because the SPEED of aiming with M/K is much faster. And do not speak about sticks sensitivity, it's not just speed of turning: it's speed of turnig WHILE also being fast on controlling the aiming. Mouse is on another level on that. You can turn instantaneously AND at the same time finely adjust the aiming WHILE you are turning.

And yet, faster games like Apex and Call of Duty have an overwhelming percentage of top ranked players using controller, while slower paced shooters like siege have KB+M in their pro leagues.

So what your saying is not adding up, KB+M still holds at longer ranges due to the way autoaim drops off.

Would you like to explain why the most arcady twitch shooters that are full of close range engagements have pros using nothing but controllers if the above was true for the majority? Halo bar a handful of BTB which are not used for competitive play or ranked is again and area shooters and the higher ranks are again primarily controller.

This is of course based on the game and level of aim assist the developers have given, there are games with weak aim assist and there are games with strong aim assist. However we have played the beta BF6 is a strong aim assist game. So if your failing with a controller this is likely because you are attempting to correct your shots, which you dont need to do, the game will literally do that for you. Any issue you are experiencing with a controller is due to you not letting the game play for you.

Shots on target do matter, if they didnt then the top leagues wouldn't be full of controllers on these arcadey titles because what you said is true. If you had bothered to read the article by one of the best KB+M players in the world on Apex you would see he specifically calls out the close range advantage aim assist brings.

You can have an opinion, im not actually out to convince you, there's little point. But I am going to call out the BS being spouted like its pre 2020 and aim assist on the "popular" games is not through the roof for anyone else reading who might just take you at your word instead of actual pro's.

BF6 team recently talked about their aim assist. Apparently their revolutionary fix is that if your not moving aka camping you get a weaker assist (again weakening longer ranges engagements where you crouch or go prone) but if your moving aka strafing it kicks into overdrive, meaning again close range engagements as long as your not corner camping will have the game land the shots for you.

My example of this is taking the bolt action and slapping the smaller 2.5x zoom aim on it and being able one shot at medium range by using the snap aim and firing before the rifle had finished its zooming into the sight animation , which I discovered as I switched to controller to try out the vehicles. It was brutal. My favorite was the 60 damage marksman rifle, because you could just keep up a 2 tap chain on any corridor as long as you keep moving slightly side to side, the game would adjust your aim to the next in line.

There are games where KB+M give an advantage and there are scenarios where in those games it will still bring that advantage. But in general, in the overall game experience a controller is having an easier time in many games now, BF6 unless something drastically changes is now one of those games.

My day is simply not complete until I read a bighugeguns bighugeguns post mentioning suppression. I can rest easy, but can we make it a bit earlier tomorrow?
Good morning, as I was saying, lack of suppression is bad luck, there are actual market repercussions for aggressive retardation.

Your product is your vibe and your vibe will dictate outcomes!

It returns, I hope they make it so flares no longer get rid of it, that turned it from a funny option into a "no one will use this ever" in 2042.

For those that dont know, this lets any anti tank or anti air weapon lock onto what has been shot without line of sight.

This created funny scenarios where a sniper at the other side of the map is darted and some stinger AA missle one shots him 10 seconds later from the opposite side of the map. In bad company 2 it allowed for even incredibly skilled pilots to actually be taken down due to the enhanced nature of the lockon and the abundance of anti armor engineers who can now lock onto the helecopter.

Essentially it helped keep air in check, meaning they where 24-5 at the end of a round instead of 87-1. Unless of course they take the 2042 route and make it useless. For some reason EA believes that Jet players should be allowed to just live forever and ruin entire matches, this used to allow players the chance to retaliate, I hope its true here

The rangefinder attachment for sniper rifles is a pretty baffling addition. It basically makes one of the series' most differentiating features, bullet drop when sniping, basically nonexistent.

Loads of great changes

3d auto spotting is basically gone

Revives work better

Ammo/heal packs reworked

Attachment balance (apart from range finder) look to be in a good place, the compensator was basically the only attachment needed with 0 downside....well now that's not thr case.

Scope glint is much better and less like a light house

There's loads of other little changes as well, from what I've watched, vehicles look less clunky

Performance looks more smooth as well, not that it was really janky to start

Thing that is a head scratcher tho, the 2 largest maps only have like 3 zones on breakthrough.......

Shotgun spread look far better

Most gun spread looks decent too, more tap fire at distance is needed

I remember actually landing a shot on a chopper with this was challenging. The Darts traveled so slow.

And of course tagging bush wookies never got old.

I'll be making the OT for this if anyone has any decent title idea's please post them, I'm all (cat)ears.

Edited: for added Cats as per below.

I am so happy that BF devs changed the movement away from the slip n slide COD shite.

It's so ADHD 13 year old brat kid play, if you want that shit, go play COD or Fortnite.

BF is it's own game and shouldnt be replicating anything COD does.

Well that's all of the CoD people out lol.

Listening to that dork whine and cry made my week.
Really enjoyable.

The more they get that super soldier sliding all over the place crap out of Battlefield the better.
Im hopeful the recoil is tweaked and tap fire is relevant again.
Changes are sounding good - but I still need to play it myself.

Oh I can't slide cancel crouch dive into a 360 no scope?

LIKE IN REAL LIFE?!

Thank you dice for making an actual shooter about war on a battlefield

Keep your Cod bullshit mentality out of this game

go away gtfo GIF

The thing is with Enders is that he's been a 'Battlefield creator' during the absolute pit of the franchise. He had to cover the entire life cycle of 2042, I caught a stream of him playing it a couple of weeks back and it is literal torture for him. He said he's more excited to never play it again than he is for BF6.

So I value his opinion more than some retard casual redditors who haven't touched a Battlefield game in nearly a decade.

And I include myself in that, I've barely played since BF4 before this beta.

The people who should be getting flamed are peanut heads like Faze Swagg who thinks BF6 should just be turned into Cod.

is anyone planning on buying this on GeForceNow?
Me. The slight lag on twitch games maybe a deal breaker as I play to sweat.
It's playable but against top players those milliseconds count. Though less so in a chopper where I'll spend half my time. I may double dip Xbox and GFN

I have been testing Ultimate with 2042 via GamePass as well :)

Nice. I have a PS5. But I want better graphics for this game. Is it really that good? Like can GFN really max out this games visuals?

It doesn't seem to be a demanding game. I got 60fps+ on a 3070 with mostly highest settings during the beta.

It also ran fine on PS5 and looked pretty good.

Easily, it maxes every game I have tried on the service, Indy, Forza Motorsport, BF 2042, Doom TDA etc etc.

Try a day pass of Ultimate with a cheap code of 2042, or Warzone is F2P 🧠.

If you do subscribe after the day pass the price comes off your subscription too which is a nice touch

:Edit: The free tier isn't really a good showing of the service, lower settings higher latency. Bit of a shit show when I tried Zombies on the free tier. Ultimate is like night and day difference in all aspects!

A lot of great changed seen...minus that range attachment. I quickly nerf would be the range attachment give you the distance and indicate on your scope with a rough line estimate. Idk, needs to be change or even I will be able to pull off crazy long shots

Gonna be interesting to see what kind of effect BF6 has on future shooters. Makes me pretty optimistic for Modern Warfare 4 next year. I'm a huge fan of what Infinity Ward did with MW2019 and MW2. Not catering to these sweaty streamers is a recipe for success.

Decent quality BR gameplay

Shows more of the gun upgrading in game, which nit seen before un most videos

Man I'd have muted those two at the start. Non-stop yappin' lol.

Anyway, looks good. It's pretty much Warzone but with destruction (and hopefully better tickrate as well). Would be funny if they don't release it for free though.
