Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

Only thing at the top of my wish list at this point are hud customization options that allow us to move things around and scale everything to our liking. Assuming we won't know about it until the game is released.

I possibly might have missed this, but have they said anything about slowing down the movement in this one? I enjoyed the beta overall, but I don't play this series with the intent of it being a twitchy FPS, like CoD

Beta was confirmed to be slower than all the other entries. I think they added a penalty to jump shotting if that's what you mean.

You can play M/K on console. The cross Play should be controller or M/K.
Not to get into this nonsense again, but my console is in the living room and I sit on a sofa. I don't want a M/K setup. That's what my PC room and its desk are for.

I agree on a filter for input device too though, but on top of the ability to make it console only.

This is so disappointing.

Pretty sure all console players don't mind playing other console players, they just don't want matched with PC players and their M/K setups and/or hacks.

for fucks sake this again...

hacks are 100% an issue but console players whine and whine and whine about M&K "oh its unfair there so much better than me and my aimb-I mean my tottaly fair aim assist built into every game"

so lets have a look at the single game that divides players by input type and lets us see their stats including average accuracy, Halo infinite.

there you go, see that? notice the much higher average accuracy when using a controller? yeah thats an issue. Now in fairness as you will no doubt know when using a controller, the aim assist becomes less impactful at longer ranges which traditionally in battlefield will mean its going to suck for a controller user trying to snipe against a KB+M. But if you played the beta you know BF6 is primary medium to close range engagements and guess who's aim assist is going to give a massive advantage in those circumstances? yep controller.

so yes hacks fucking suck but can people playing on console please just not be shit when they have built in soft aim on every fucking game you have, iv tried both, controller is simply put fucking easier by a mile these days especially if the increase the deadzone so the game is more likely to aim for you without you twitching it out of its assist by trying to make micro corrections when the game can just aim for you.

hence videos like this.

You went there. I posted above stating I didn't want to start a M/K debate again.

Heres what I know. I am shit loads better with a M/K than I am with a controller. I can do things on a M/K that are impossible on a controller. Most people that use a M/K will be in the same boat.

No amount of sticky aim assist will counter the ability to turn on a sixpence and snap a headshot or two.

It's all about the options. Give folk the ability to decide who they want to play against. The fact that they are so reluctant to do so should be telling you something. They KNOW console players will just disable cross play with PC for a variety of legitimate reasons.

and yet the argument I hear every time is "I disabled crossplay and I cant find a match, why didn't they make this the default?" so lets not pretend that only a small fraction turn this off, and yes I suspect you would not want to rekindle the debate considering the last successful EA shooter Apex legends is only a google search away.

they do In fact find that sticky aim will counter the ability to turn on a sixpence, but what do they know, their only the best players in the world, I'm sure their just faking and all using controllers for a laugh.

I 100% agree that the potential hacker issue from PC is a problem, but if you bring up "M+KB is an advantage" you are rightfully going to be smacked down if all you have is your feelings as backup, you cant spout a hot take and then say "please don't call me out on it"

but the video I linked is legitimately super useful if your struggling with controller for BF6, especially now people cant bunny hop out of the reticule slow now

Smacked down? Behave yourself 😂 Let's just leave it at not everybody believes those stats convey the whole story. The fact that you jokingly called the aim assist an 'aimbot' would suggest to me you are a M/K player yourself, with a bugbear against controllers.

And you know what most M/K players want? To go up against controller players -generally easy prey with their 'turn like a pipe band' settings to keep things semi controllable. Elite-level freaks being the exception of course.

Let's just leave it at all devs should be providing options that allow you to play with who you want. I'm happy with that.

Been playing on PC with a controller for years and never had an issue holding my own against all platforms. 🤷‍♂️
Trying to get a grasp on the controls via GFN to see if that will be where I get BF6.

Controller seems weird, way to fast on zoom etc. And there's so many settings, guess I'll go down a YT rabbit hole to try fix.

GFN or Series X 🤔

Might change for the full release but this felt miles better than default for me. Warning its long and in depth but might be worth a bookmark. He's sure to update things for 1.0

I don't think the original poster was referring to just the movement speed. He was likely including the general pace of the game, which is very much faster than previous BFs and has a more 'twitchy' feeling.

You are confusing the accuracy with the general aiming itself. It doesn't matter that firing is more accurate with controllers, if 9 out of ten times I got shot before I could even aim because the SPEED of aiming with M/K is much faster. And do not speak about sticks sensitivity, it's not just speed of turning: it's speed of turnig WHILE also being fast on controlling the aiming. Mouse is on another level on that. You can turn instantaneously AND at the same time finely adjust the aiming WHILE you are turning.
