Battlefield 6 Multiplayer reveal - 31st July 2025 (11:30 PT // 14:30 ET // 19:30 UK)

BF2 (PC version) had a stamina gauge - and I miss it. Maybe im the only one? heh.
You could still sprint - just not infinitely and it needed to recharge.
Im just tired of the fast and wacky non stop sprinting 100% of the time of modern FPS.
Bringing back a stamina gauge would add another layer of depth to the gameplay.

The solution to the problem you listed - is use transport vehicles - or stick with your squad.

Thats another problem of modern Battlefields. Everyone can spawn on everyone.
It used to be squadleader spawning only on BF2 PC. The squadleader had to know what they were doing of course - and had to care about playing that spawn point role.
I think BF3 hardcore mode used this system again - but it hasnt been seen since.
Hopefully they came up with a better system than having multiplying soldiers all over the place.
You tryin' to alienate retarded people with all their spendin' money? Who's gonna spend $20 per clown outfit if ya chase away the retards with your 'strategy' and basic 'thinking'?

And because of Xbox series S we can't have next gen visuals……this look like 2015 PS4 game…..

Disagree. The Frostbite engine games from Star Wars BattleFront 1 onward look nice and hold up imo. The performance-to-graphical fidelity ratio is unmatched in some ways. The one exception is probably 2042 which can look a bit sterile and bland but that's because the theme and map design of the game was sterile and bland. Even BF:V on PS4 looked pretty nice.

This game will probably run well on relatively low end hardware while looking good.

The franchise isn't for us anymore dude, hasn't been for a good long while.

All I need to see is this

And I think that is where they hope to hit that 100 million player mark, surely they don't expect to sell that many copies anyhow
It will literally have to be the next big thing to get anywhere close to that. Can't see it myself.

Didn't COD hit 110 MAU during COVID with Warzone? 50 million would be more realistic.

You never know being FTP I guess.

You know how bad ass it would be to have a guy leaning on a wall and being able to blow up the wall to destroy his cover.

100%

And just for the record, it doesn't have to be a third person switch up. Just do it like Cyberpunk and make the right mouse/left trigger context sensitive when you're behind a corner.

If the Steam version requires the EA Play app to be installed, is there any benefit to buying the game on Steam instead of just directly on the EA Play app?

How so? Seems around the same size as a warzone map at a glance. All depends on what the player count is, circle speed and what vehicles are in the mode, If its a traditional BR that is.
It's tiny like an Apex map. Definitely looks smaller than Verdansk, maybe 50% of the area at best. Bigger than the retarded Alcatraz map.

Sure is, GabeN gets a cut, and EA makes less money. If you're into that sort of thing.

Tough to say until we get a proper look at it. I will say it looks a bit lobsided with a load of POI's at the south of the map.

Yes, bigger than Rebirth obviously. But Rebirth is the best map they've ever done imo. Its one of the all time classic MP maps in my eyes (Along with Verdansk of course).

I cant fucking wait to play this again. Really hope the beta is soon and its not only for 2 days. Im so ready to play a good BF again.

Damn. Have not bought a Battlefield since BF1 but this looks like exatly what i would love to play again. Very excited for the beta now.

No, just you play Insurgency instead.

A tank's turret being up that high should also ring daft and unwanted 2042 physics bells as well, though.
That turret didn't even get that high, if you have watched any of the stuff from Ukraine/Russia war, plenty of Russian tank turrets have flown much higher in the air than shown in the video.

This sells me on BF6 more than BFV's "Everyone's Battlefield" and whatever the fuck BF2042 was trying to do combined. As long as it fucking works at launch, I'm pretty sure I'm a day one at this point.

This actually looks really good. Seems Vince is putting in some work…
Never too late to join the church of Zampella. Some of us have believed since he came on board.

I'm actually quite looking forward to the campaign too, if it's anything like Call of Duty 4.

They should try and get Mark Rubin on board after XDefiant got canned.

Im more a firm believer of "if they fuck this up papa EA gonna put a cap in their ass"

EA are a slop factory. Absolute Satan's spunk of a company.

Almost impossible to be interested in battlefield anymore. And I've been playing DICE's shit since the codename eagle demo.

Yet here you are in the Battlefield thread?

You must be a little bit interested in it at least.

I played CoD for first time in 2 weeks and SBMM decided to put a plat 3 solo in an awful trio against iridescent basement dwellers and cheats. I can't take no more 😂

BF please be a return to form 🙏

I think CoD may be in for a shock this year

Cod will be just fine. People just love jumping on the online bandwagon. No matter how good BF is and how shit the new cod will be, people still buying cod games every year and it keeps breaking records every year... Nothing will change

I played all the Battlefield games. I started with the demo of Battlefield 1942.

To be honest I was never in love with the series. I found conquest to be boring. Only when more focused and chaotic Rush was introduced I started to play the games more. I think Battlefield 1, with its objective based Grand Campaign and Bad Company 2 with its chaotic destruction and amazing maps are the best in the series.

I want chaotic sandbox around interesting objectives, not huge open maps with flags to capture. I really hope they will show it in the upcoming multiplayer showcase.

It's been in a consistent downtrend since it went on Steam 3 years back.

That bump earlier this year was the return of Verdansk, which was supposed to be their break glass move but player numbers are already back where they were before.

There will always be a core group of whales who buy all the skins, but Call of Duty is not cool anymore. It's a game for children and basement dwellers.
