Also, updated Backer missions - looks like we will meet Natasha in some way or another!

... Need that full length novel. Hell, I bet some people will even increase their pledges.

faceless007 was so kind as to change the title.

Awesome, thanks to you both.

According to Mitch another update is being prepped, i hope there are even more add-ons. I'm personally hoping for digital prints of the concept work to frame.

Are people going to follow the updates and perhaps even play the beta of the game? I kind of want to enter the game unspoiled, but it's going to be really hard to restrain myself.

If they will have PVP beta, I'll probably do it. For the single player stuff definetly no beta.. And I will even consider waiting out (which will be hard as hell) for the first patch.

I'll follow updates and maybe try out some skirmish matches in the beta occasionally, but I'm not overly fond of betas.

I'm going to follow the updates like a hawk but i'm only going to test the beta a little (well we will see lol).

Edit: Just got an update email!

If the beta is just skirmish, I'll check it out, very briefly.

I've gone dark on the campaign though.

I'm so excited that its going to hit 2.5m! I really didn't expect it to do this well!
I really can't wait.

You know, if this keeps up this'll have more backers than either of the Shadowrun kickstarters. Over 2k backers in the last 24 hrs. Oh, and less than 40k till PVP.

Perfect.

We are now at 2.493.578. Only 6K to go to the final stretch goal.

It would be amazing if another new goal came up, but I doubt it.

Among the roughly 2,000 planets of the Inner Sphere, there’s no place like Solaris VII—it’s a unique amalgamation of the coliseums of ancient Rome, the hyper-exaggerated showmanship of WWE Wrestling, the high octane and battered metal of Monster Truck Rallies, the gambling and excesses of Las Vegas, the slums of Mumbai, and the political neutrality of Switzerland.

I laughed.

I think i'll make an exception for my "No Kickstarter" stance this once, seeing as PVP is guaranteed.
This once.

PVP is guaranteed now, right?

It's a sure bet in this case, I would say. Proven track record, plenty of funding, experienced key directors, and so forth. Not only do you get to follow the development of the game, but you also get it for less than what it would cost later in release.

The only thing I would be worried about is their UI design and initial bugs - HBS kind of bungled the UI in Shadowrun: Hong Kong recently. But then again, that's only their old engine that they initially made for tablets.

Wait, really? What did they change around in HK from the UI that worked well in Returns and Dragonfall? I have HK but I haven't fired it up yet because I want to get through DF first.

They didn't change much. It's just a cumbersome design and it can be a bit unresponsive - it's no big deal and I imagine that the UI bugs I experienced in Hong Kong (that weren't present in DF) have been fixed by now.

Official confirmation:

So what happens now that the project has passed $2,500,000? Will we add additional funding goals and make the game even larger in scope?

No.

As we said in our first Live Stream Twitch Q&A session, after Stage 4 is unlocked, additional funding will go towards polishing the features and content we’ve already committed to. After that, any additional funds will go toward funding a Post-Launch Live Team that will continue developing additional features and content. First among them will be Cooperative Multiplayer, which will allow you and a friend to face-off against AI opponents.

So, in the time remaining, please help get the word out to new people who haven’t backed the project yet! They still have the chance to get the game for only $25 and the whole community will benefit from their early faith in the project.

So, yeah, i couldn't back the game on this computer with Waterfox. Disabled extensions so it could have been Windows Defender or something that blocked the processing.
Worked on my laptop though, via Chrome.

Pledge amount: 50 dollars, ie 45€
Figured i'd get that e-novel(la?) while at it, along with the other bonuses.
Besides, considering this isn't even a pre-order really, i sure as hell want to try the beta.

I don't usually go for betas or little extras on kickstarters, but I'm making an exception. I'm upping my pledge to $50 and I'm going to see who I can cajole into this.

Smart campaigners knew I'd grab all three schematic prints for my walls... So happy PvP is achieved, and I'm confident co-op will be added eventually.

Three cheers!

Official confirmation:

I think they are smart by not throwing it additional stretch goals just for the sake of stretch goals. They are avoiding unnecessary feature creep by sticking to their original plan. Just use some of that extra money to put into polishing the game.

Congratulations to Harebrained though. Really well managed Kickstarter with no hitches. These guys are becoming pro's at running Kickstarter campaigns.
