She was a lesbian and it was just a background part of her character. She didn't compare herself to Batman as a woman but rather as another vigilante. This is some bad pandering.

That's one of the things I liked about the comic. Her gender didn't define who she was other than her name and her aesthetic (the hair/lipstick I mean).

I enjoyed the first season of Supergirl.

That's because Kara is adorable and comes off as a very nice person. This coupled with lighter tone of the show as well as humor make girl-power declaration much less cringy than when they're delivered by angry butch lesbian.

Ruby Rose doesn't fit. I like her, but not for this.

Most of the superhero shows I've watched have sucked and most CW shows suck, so this isn't a surprise.

In the very small appearance that the character had in the last Arrowverse crossover it was Hayden levels if not worse and the teaser trailer does not change my mind. I will watch because I love the character and want to see where it goes and will hope it gets better.

I think her role in John Wick was good. She didn't speak, appeared a couple of minutes here and there. That was the perfect role for her.
