Alright, Grace and Glory are a real pain the back side. I'm on chapter 5, with the second encounter with them, I can sometimes beat them, then I have to fight 3 Harmony immediately after. :/ Definitely a challenging game.
Okay, so the US version for PS3 came out, right? Has this fixed any of the issues with the original release? Thanks.
Especially those in parts seriously low res textures.
The loading is fixed, but that seems to be all. Some people have said that they think the graphics look a little sharper, but I don't think that's true.
Bayonetta finally 1000/1000. Took 51 hours, and I'm STILL not bored. Insane.
PS, the Gunchucks absolutely DESTROY Gracious and Glourious, even on Infinite Climax. The stun keeps one of them at bay so you are always in control of them jumping around like wild animals.
its a bit big, so ill probably never wear it (like every game related shirt ive ever won :/) still nice though.

im just over 50 something hrs and im about 3/4 of the way through Climax. still have a few damn resting places to find though too, then im done (with achievements anyways)
Ok im almost done with the game(i think....cuz i got sidetrack lastnight by a gentleman, a ninja and a strong ass lil girl). I just
i beat Jeanne the 3rd time around the missiles than i saved, am i done?
The Good
- The boss fights are very very very very very very very good, best of this gen so far.
- The combat overall is very entertaining. The enemies are fairly aggressive, just enough for you to stay on your toes, and just enough to enjoy stringing insane combos together, very well balanced.
- The little things in between are handled pretty well: "puzzles", opening doors, way of getting across things, the platforming, the
"escort mission"
. The game never gets frustrating.
- The loading screen. c'mon its awesome
- The level design is pretty awesome. Even though the game is linear, getting from point A to B, there's always something interesting happening, and again kinda goes back to the little things in between.
The Bad
- The obvious, the technology running this game needs polish bad. Weird shit happens when you skip cut scenes, the framerate while does'nt make the game unplayable, does in a couple of instances fucked my timing. the textures and lighting are meh.
- I do like BAYONETTA's design, but the enemies and other characters are pretty forgettable...maybe not
Cereza and the pussy rubbing Angel chicks
.
- Some of the QTEs were unnecessary IMO, i missed a few cuz i was lookin and waiting to see the next ridiculous thing B was gonna do:lol
- I found myself wishing more and more that this guy stayed with Capcom and made DMC4. The game reminded me of DMC so much, but the aesthetics are less memorable. Not nessecarally "Bad" but...
- Storytelling: like alot of games. Good story or concept, but bad Storytelling.
I almost feel dirty saying this is the best Action hack n slash experience i had this gen, as DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2/Sigma relatively failed me. We all have our preference on fav style of combat but BAYONETTA design-wise is so much further ahead IMO, the game never ran out ideas.
i wished P+ and Sega was working on a better engine or had more time to make things prettier, run smoother and definitely resolve this fuckin PS3 port, this shit is inexcusable at this point.
Obtain 10 million halos and then buy the platinum ticket in the "Rodin's Treasures" section, don't bother looking to see if the Platinum ticket is there since it only appears after you get 10 million halos.
I got my Bayonetta shirt from Penny Arcade today. For anyone else who is still waiting, I submitted my entry on January 28th and according to the order form, I was number 320.
Do you mean in the prologue? Yeah, that was a requirement in normal too. My strategy was to use the whip to pull them towards you mid-air, then switch to Durga and let loose. Easy way to fight them one at a time and crucially avoid being hit, draining the magic bar.
You mean in the prologue? Then yeah, it's like that on all difficulties. Different requirements on hard & higher of course. Was pretty easy if you have a full maxed out bar ready to go when that verse starts And taunt gives you free orbs. Edit: SO beaten :lol

So you do that when you're so confident you both can handle tougher enemies and don't need the accessory slot at all :lol
Woot! I just received my Penny-Arcade Bayonetta contest T-shirt in the mail. I had a late entry so I was afraid I wouldn't get one. Woot I feel awesome now!

Well, my last difficulty was easy mode I want to get those 10 million halos legit, as if that's ever gonna happen, so I had it on me.
The whip, you don't need to start a new game, just go to chapter select and pick 3 (on normal or lower). You could also use some purple lollipops to boost your magic.
Yeah, that was annoying, but I got it with just the katana eventually, pure platinum. While I didn't rememebr it was there, that fight I now realize teaches you how the magic bar works. I played through the entire game without realizing that you store up single attacks in one circle when the bar fills.
God man i've been like an addict without his crack since my 360 RRoD'd. No other game is filling in the Bayonetta void :'( Any fixes that don't involve me massacring my 360 mainboard?
Are there any super hidden witch hearts anywhere? I've finished the game on normal, opened all the chests & finished all the alfheims (the achievements have popped to confirm this), as well as buying the ones in the shop. In my inventory, I have 3/4 hearts though? Are there more to get on higher difficulties?
