Eh, I'm pretty sure Uno was the original and Due was the second one they built accross the street when Uno's became too popular (Uno meaning one, Due meaning two?). Either way, they both blow compare to Gino's East or Giordano's or even Edwardo's.

That is what happened, but Due is where you go when you want the "original" shit.

New York-style is more of a "typical" pizza. I believe it's known for being very very thin, and a lot of people roll slices of it up and eat it like a burrito. Maybe a new Yorker can explain that better, I'm not from there.

There really isn't much to it. Thinner slices than Chicago-style, but they're very wide. And yes, ideally you fold it in half vertically. It's just easier to hold that way. Now St. Louis style - I believe - is the oddest damned thing I've ever seen: A circular pie cut into very tiny squares.

I've seen a lot of pizza around here (Chicago) where they cut it up into squares. I never knew that was St. Louis style.

I don't think the way it's cut can be considered part of a local style. Even Pizza Hut cuts certain forms of its pizza that way. Except maybe New York style, but there's more to it than just wide slices, it's also very thin and soft. Wide cuts but crispy or thick crust is not New York style.

Pizza 73 owns all, except for Funky Pickle but I don't know if that's nationwide (I'm Canadian btw).

Online ordering, no CC needed. C'mon, you can't beat that.

Pizza 73's pizza is terribly low end. But the wings are great.

I know the people who did their website (and occasionally work with them). It's sad they're the only place I'm aware of in Canada, or at least Alberta, that does online ordering.

lol i was going to post pizza pizza, but i just realised that the chain doesn't exist (apparently) outside of Ontario.

I wouldn't think they would have 400 Pizza Pizza locations just in ontario o_O

If Round Table was national, you would know real pizza.

Seriously, I feel sorry for east coast people. The other chains absolutely suck. Round Table is more expensive, but it puts the others to shame in quality.

There's a Pizza Pizza in Grant Macewan College in Edmonton. It's the only one I've ever seen though.

There's one in SUB and another in ETLC at UofA. And I'd heard of it before being there. I don't think it's that great. And I'd never call Pizza 73 lowend...maybe it varies by location or something.

Tony's Pizzeria. Seriously...there's just so many of them. Right guys? Am I rite?

1)Pizza Hut = improved a lot since papa johns came on the scene in a year)

2)Papa Johns = I dunno WTF happened, but over the past year the quality of pizza has gone down, I tried 3 different locations and it looks like they have cut back on the amount of ingredients they put on.

3)Dominos = Okay in a pinch

4)Little Caesar = The cheap birthday party place with 5 buck pizza, but the crazy bread rules.

IAWTP

Papa John's has gotten a lot worse since I first had it in '96.

Also, Pizza Hut's delivery doesn't seem to be up to snuff when compared to eating pizza at the restaurant. Maybe it's just me...

Have you tried Pizza Hut lately? Tastes a lot different (for the better) . Pizza Pizza is too doughy for me.

Pizza Pizza is owned by a phone sex company IIRC. :p

can someone tell me what crazy bread is?

Pizza dough formed into sticks. It's far better at Little Caesar's than anywhere else, if you ask me. So long as you eat it hot. It gets bad quick.

I got a bit tired of Papa John's. It's good, but it's got such a distinctive taste that I don't like to eat it that often... As opposed to stuff like Domino's or Roundtable that I could have all the time. I agree that lately it seems like they are using cheaper ingredients at Papa J's too.

Also, I think their crust underneath the actual pizza isn't so good at all, though it forms a nice breadstick at the "crust" end, if you get what I mean. It's often soggy under the cheese, never crispy.

I prefer the rising-crust pizzas from the frozen section these days though. Fruschetta, Digiorno, Tombstone, Red Baron, they all have a rising crust option now and I just get's what's on sale.

Little Ceas' - good for cheap and quick grub

I had some recently because I was curious why I hated it so much, and it just reminded me why. Too much grease, the cheese tasted like gunk and the sauce was almost non-existant. So now I eat only Pizza Pizza and sometimes Pizzaiolo

They're at 6 stores in the franchise (there was 2 like 6 months ago), are about to go to online ordering and has awesome pizza. so I believe soon this chain will end up knocking out either 2-4-1 pizza or pizza hut out of canada (preferably pizza hut).

Little Caesar's is awesome, but we don't have it here. I had some Crazy Bread last weekend, though, when I was out of town, and it was so much better than I remembered. Fuck, I want mooooore.

As far as things I'm readily able to get here, Pizza Hut is by far the best. I had friends who worked at both Papa John's & Domino's, so I've eaten more than my fair share of free pizza from both places-- it's no longer any good, and certainly not worth paying for! Happy Joe's is only in ND, MN, IL, IA, MO and WI, but their Taco Joe pizza is like Christ on a crust. I prefer a couple of local places to anything else, Pizza Patrol & Duane's House of Pizza.

Pizza Pizza does fucking rock. I had it when I was in ON this summer. They need to expand out of ON, badly.
