Glenn Reynolds aka Instapundit published this editorial earlier this year:

Meanwhile, on foreign policy -- another Carter weak point -- Obama also looks worse. Carter blew it with Iran, encouraging the Iranian armed forces to stay in their barracks, while Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's radical Islamists (whom Carter thought of as "reformers") took power, and then approved the ill-conceived hostage rescue mission that ended with ignominious failure in the desert. Obama, by contrast, could only wish for such success.

Later that day Obama announced the death of Osama bin Laden.

See, I don't like things like that, whether it's coming from the right or the left. He looked like an asshole bullying her like that. He's not trying to explain anything to her, he's not trying to elevate the conversation, he's just being a prick. That woman is just one of many regular Americans whose had a shitload of lies and misinformation jammed down her throat to the extent where fear has taken hold, and she felt like standing up and expressing her frustration. Misguided or not.

That person is not an idealogue, she is not a michelle bachman or a sarah palin - who have become so detached from reality that nothing you say to them will change their mind; that woman was just an example of how easy it is to invoke fear and anger in people who don't spend a lot of their time following politics.

That woman needed someone to sit down with her and her family and directly explain what the healthcare bill included and how it would affect her personal situation, what the tarp bill did and why it was needed, what the bailouts did and DID NOT do, and what the hell a single payer system actually is.

She did not need a ratings whore talking down to her and trying to make her look stupid in order to make himself look big.

That chick was actually a paid activist who worked for Glenn Beck.

Also, come on, conservagaf! I'd expect some devastating videos, unlike much of the lame stuff that Bulbo and some others posted so far. Step it up!

Oh shit, Really? I didn't know that. I watched the clip for a minute and thought "Jeeze, O'Donnell is way off in appropriate levels of debate. He is being way to confrontational." If that is true, I reject my earlier sentiments.

Paul Krugman vs O'reilly

Now, this might not seem like an ownage at first glance. There are no witty one liners or anything of that sort. However, look at how quickly Bill O'Reilly loses his composure and starts ranting and fails to even properly debate, while Krugman is cool and composed throughout the entire debacle of a discussion. To me, this is a special, more subtle kind of ownage, as it shows how O'Reilly can't even talk with others like an adult, and my respect for Krugman shot up considerably after watching this.

We are posting videos that actually mattered. Iconic moments in political history. Videos of Lawrence Odonnell and Al Franken on some talk show that nobody watched are meaningless. But I'll try to find some more.
And we have to go back to Reagan to find a conservative that could actually own anybody. How pathetic is that.

Sure, but I'm talking "we" as in conservative GAF. You can post all the petty, back and forth childish talk show clips you want but they still mean nothing.
But I have to admit, I can't think of anything else to post.

I'd like to read Gaf's reaction to the Palin-Couric interview from late September 2008. Can anyone find the right Poligaf thread for that?

He looses it like a temper-tantrum child and people mistake that as being "a strong minded individual", when he sound more like a wife-beater after a few drinks.

This shit. Is he trying to be the next Bill O' Reilly?

Oreily never ceases to confuse me. He's really the only person in the media I absolutely cannot stand at some times and absolutely love at others. This is one of those others.

The problem with O' Reilly aren't his view points, its how he treats others, specifically in his interviews.

Nah, his views suck too.

He's not as right as people think, he's just loud. I admit that his private charities thing is stupid and he has some questionable views, but I wouldn't lump him with say Limbaugh like many people do.

That man getting his ass handed to him is a well known bigot/islamophobe Robert Spencer. Remember Anders Van Breivik, the Norwegian shooter? Anders cited Robert Spencer dozens of time in his Manifesto, in effect, using his arguments.

Let me just tell you that it was an absolute pleasure watching Spencer squirm and shift on his seat as he was getting torn apart.

Otto von Bismarck and the way he handled the whole France affair. It was almost a perfect ruse and he completley got the french to do what he wanted them to do. That he united Germany was also quite an accomplishment.

I hope that piece of shit feels some guilt over that . . . but he probably doesn't.

Reza Aslan is a very interesting commentator. He's got good pragmatic views. I'd listen to him for advice on dealing with Iran.

Bah, I thought this was a great thread and spent far too many hours looking though all videos last night expecting there to be more when I woke up... you lot disappoint me greatly. GREATLY

Best answer so far in the thread. Von Bismarck was an incredible leader, though admittedly helped by Napoleon III'd incredible idiocy.
