I'm pretty sure Jellyvision did the You Don't Know Jack games. Who the hell are these Bezerk people? Is this an attempt to create the most obscure "appreciation" thread ever?
OH! I totally forgot about those "You don't know Jack" games. I never played them though! Because I really don't know jack. So I lose at all trivia games ever. So I play Berzerk instead because I get to shoot evil robots, which I do know all about.
Say, what happened to the You Don't Know Jack series, anyway? Those games were very popular several years ago. But, I haven't seen them in stores for the last few years. Did they stop making them?
They had a good run, but I gotta imagine it's rough making party games for PC. Who wants to curl up next to a 17" monitor and share a keyboard with 3 friends? I've done it before and it was tons of fun but I imagine most people found it too hard to set up everything for a good game. Playing a trivia game online really isn't as fun as doing it with people in the same room. The PSX version of You Don't Know Jack was cool....perhaps in today's wider console market they could have flourished, but instead they were pretty much limited to PSX thanks to the Saturn's death and the low storage space on the N64.
