Binary Domain Demo Impressions (JP - Out Now, US/EU - Feb 15 2012)

Hey guys, just wondering, does anyone know why this game is so cheap? Usually new releases on consoles are £40, but this one is £30. I'm not complaining in the slightest, it's just very very strange. I know this game hasn't got a huge following (yet) but even the more quieter releases are still the same price generally.

Maybe the preorders are too low and SEGA is trying to sell some more day one copies. Sadly, there isn't any hype for this title and and scores below 8 are too low for this king of game:/

Personally, I made my preorder long time ago, and right now I'm waiting the package from zavvi.

One thing that I cannot understand is that most of the medias gave the game scores between 7 and 8, because it plays similarly to Gears. They say it has a good gfx, great story and some memorable scenes, but because it's similar in gameplay department to Gears, it's not AAA material.

And this point of view is just sad :/

I really like the impressions so far. It looks like Metal Gear Solid meets Gears of War. The Robot designs are great. And Im a big fan of Nagoshi.

Guess this seals the deal for me.

Game reviews dude, I stopped paying attention to them a long long time ago. They're often a joke. I just purchased on Amazon, so I know I'll be a happy bunny like most people who are buying in this thread. :)

Wow man, those red robots on stage 2 of the demo... I was hauled-up with the team in one of those boxes for ages, beaten into a corner with only my pistol having ammo. If the demo hadn't have ended I wouldn't have been able to take on the Gorilla, that's for damn sure.

just watched parts of a walkthrough... I feel a throbbing member, eager to get into action. Its like graphic viagra. Yeah, Im gonna have to spend some money on this by the beginning of next month.

I have really mixed feelings about this game. The characters feel a bit like they're pandering to the TPS western market, but I do like the way characters engage me and ask for yes-no decisions during battle.

Shame it's so grey and generic looking though.

Have you played the full game? Much of it (the majority iirc) looks sort of Mass Effectish. There is lots of futuristic city, shiny white with pink neon trim. Looks great imo.

So I played this demo and thought it was pretty cool, but didn't notice anything about using a headset for voice commands.

Does that make me an idiot?
