I am very close to buy this game... but I need some advice!

In terms of MMO, I will never forget UO as it was the greatest mmo for me and one of the best game of all times (this is obviously imo).
I played a bit of FFXIV, but not enough to justify the monthly fee. Very little experience with WoW.

Given my preference for UO, will I like this game? :)

Depends what you like to do. The crafting and economy is massively deep. If you like to raid and do instanced dungeons you probably need another game. Do you like grinding mobs? It's pretty chill and zenlike in BDO once you get into the zone.

I can't play this game untill I'm done work at 5pm. This is gonna be a loooooooong day lol. When I get my character made I'll put my name up to get invited to the guild, can't wait to sink my teeth into this. Definitely going sorceress.

I doubt there will be a free trial any time soon.

If GW2 only runs ok on your system I don't see BDO running that well unless you really turn the settings down to low.

To make the game look great you need to crank the settings up pretty high.

Well at least I didn't take the day off work lol. I hope by 5pm the servers are gonna be fine, I'm gonna cry if I can't play tonight hahaha.

So is PVP the absolute endgame or there is other things to keep you interested at higher levels?

Is there housing and is it instanced?

There's an extensive housing system and yes it is instanced.

1.13 GB patch and no patch note in 2016 right in the client. I hate that.

Speculation on the official forums that they nerfed the catfishman camp's exp. If true it sucks for everyone who didn't already use that place to hit 50+.

Onyxia deep breathed more with every patch way back in vanilla WoW according to player but it was never changed. I wonder why they just don't put the patch note in the client or on the forums.

I feel like it runs better then GW2, but I havn't played GW2 in ages so i could be very wrong.

Official forums for games are always a mistake unless you want a laugh. God the Diablo 3 and WoW forums are ass aside from the occasional epic meltdown that someone has.

I remember back in the day when I was a member of the Bioware forums. Every other thread was an epic meltdown, where someone would either call out another forum member or Bioware employee for their "bullshit". And don't even get me started on all the fandoms. Then when Mass Effect 3 came out.... dear god....

I set up my workers to finish my raft last night in the hopes of trying it out this morning, but maintenance obviously stopped that.I guess I'll have to wait until after work. During CBT2 I tried connecting a bunch of island nodes by hopping off the Velia ferry halfway and swimming, chugging potions to keep myself alive. I probably spent as much time swimming as I did prepping my raft so I'm glad I went this route instead.

Also there's something depressing about going into my dark home and making beer for my workers. But it doesn't matter because soon I will live on the sea!
