Looks like they are limiting the prices of things keeping them reasonable. 20 million for a costume seems fine. I havent been able to install the patch today I keep getting an error when downloading, I've uninstalled and tried downloading again but same thing, anyone know how to fix this?

Not sure on that one man. When I had that problem I uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked for me, strange.

But yea right now costumes are only 20 mil, pets are a lil under 6 mil, and 30 day value packs are going for 5 mil. It's pretty nice so far

With 5 items per week... you get around what, 100M with the maximum value items?

Meh. The higher items are all over 2-3-4-500M each (and more) each.

So far it's not so bad... but I guess we'll see how it goes. I read that on the japanese servers the cost of a costume is around 100M each...

Remember those costume that cost 100+ mill are the "premium" ones. But also the inflation in Korea is much higher then ours. They have higher turn in value of stuff as well.

In any case I hope the cap of 20 mill stays. With that on top of the limit of listing 5 per week does not really seem too bad.

I think there's a better chance of blacks voting for trump than the cap staying at 20 mill.

Looks like a ton of them have sold, price hasn't really budged at all.

*edit*

BTW, is the GAF guild still active at all? I stopped playing as I had to sell my house and move, so I had to quit Luciform. They've since disbanded due to P2W hate.

I'm pretty casual at this point, but it's nice to have people to do scrolls with or just chat. The PVE grind in this game is really cathartic for me, and I typically hate grind.

Usually there are 5-6 gaf guild members online everyday. Just don't talk to rhy. He is a weirdo.

What's your in-game name? We can invite you.

I'd say we actually have about 10 people that are always on

Are people still playing this game? How is it? Thinking about picking it up.

Btw my rig has GTX 970,8GB RAM and an i5-6700k. Hopefully that will be enough.

I don't like grind, but I really enjoy this game. It gives me a similar feeling to stuff like Europa Universalis or 4X games, where the huge range of options and things I need to be doing in a given moment is nearly overwhelming, in the best way possible.

The PvP is great, but requires some pretty hefty time dedication in order to take part in the GvG system. Open world PvP mostly boils down to who has the best gear, assuming that neither player is absolutely awful.

I hate grind in games, but I love this. I almost never play MMOs without my group of friends, but this is one where I've made an exception to it. The grind in this just feels great.

I think we're supposed to getting warrior awakening next week?
Vyr is already op with his warrior but with the awakening, we can start taking on extra large guild bosses and other top guilds!

Does anyone happen to have an unused guest pass? I want to buy this game, but really want to see how it runs on my desktop before committing.

Edit: got a pass free from here

This one is for you minty....I see why you are going to ditch your warrior and stick to that Valk.....

For the "ahem" awesome armor

Edit:

Hey Gaf we are looking for more members to join our ranks in US Owren server. We normally hang out on Calpheon 01. I am normally on my Ranger (Sattari) Family Name (Rinzai).

Whisper the following officers or myself for an invite:

Vyrance (Vurtox)
Azumba (Jinsei)
Rhydan (Rydrius)

Edit 2:

We can start doing boss scrolls again. We have one and possibly more for Saturday 27th at 7:30 EST.
All is welcome. Come join the fun. We also have an open invitation to see who shall be the next Xtech as well. Can you take the crown?

Heads up for warriors here is a vid guide on how to get your free blue awakening Great Sword:

(not my video)

You only have 10 mil?

And I thought I was poor with my 39 mil sitting in Calph (And probably another 6 mil sitting in other storages combined)

Hey guys. I'll be starting tonight and for the next 7 days on a guest pass. Is everyone still on the server listed in the OP?

Love the idea of no carrot on stick grinding and theme park stuff like typical mmo's. Hoping I'll enjoy this.

NA guild is on Orwen. Channel does not matter but we normally hang around the Calpheon 01 . I am mostly on my Ranger (Sattari) if you want to join the fam just whisper me or some of the other officers.

Vyrance, Rhydan, Azumba/Tanigawa

So guys, I'm curious and want to get into this game, but I haven't been able to find any solid information on the combat. For me, combat makes a game like this.

My current favorite combat is Vindictus. There is no game like it on the market. Special moves are buttons with cool downs (there are some, but they're buffs and super moves that can be counted on 1 hand). I've been trying to find out how the moves work in this game, and I'm not getting clear answers. In Vindictus, hitbox is very important. It's all about mastering the controls and moves.

I hate combat where moves are all hot keys you tap and wait for them to cool down. I end up looking at the keys rather than paying attention to the enemy moves and attacks. I never have to worry about that when I'm playing Vindictus. I'm just studying the monster and watching its animation looking for cues for attacks and openings.

Anyone here played Vindictus and can tell me how Black Desert's combat compares to it?

Hey man, combat does sound similar to Vindictus, but I never played that one myself. I only have 2 moves I tie to hot keys personally, everything else is just doing the right key combos with the mouse. I think we were all given new 7 day trial passes, so if you want to try it out I'm sure one of us can give you one.

This game made me realize that I'm done with the MMO genre. The grind just feels unrewarding and I felt that BDO's gameplay was unsatisfying despite looking really cool visually.

Vindictus is a tad more actiony. (I used to play a Fiona while in BDO I'm a Valkyrie)

But overall they are very close. Button combos are in both games but Vindictus has stuff that can lock bosses up like Karok grabs and whatnot but in BDO it's more on debuffs on bosses.

But action wise, they're very close, a tad plus on the Vindictus end. You can still watch monster attacks and study the patterns so you can just avoid everything with ease though.

Why does he wear the mask!?
In the market for a new MMO, anybody have a guest pass?

How is the playerbase atm? I heard there was a lot of people leaving this recently?

PM'd you a guest pass. No idea what the playerbase is, but there are still the original 3 servers with no server merge coming yet. Plenty of people in towns, and popular places are still populated.
