...just watch Amazon? I mean, they even have apps for phones telling who when stuff is up but I mean, if you know the time - which they tell in advance - just get the site and buy within the first 5-10 minutes. There is an indication bar telling you how many have been claimed so gauge off that.

What I'm asking is:

When something like that Toshiba 40'' 1080p tv for $179 comes up on Amazon, is it going to sell out in 10 minutes, or 10 seconds? This actually makes a pretty huge difference, i.e. do I need to be at my computer early with a stopwatch refreshing my browser, or can I just set an alarm and leisurely stroll up to my computer and get the deal?

Fair enough.

Just have the site open for the gold box deal. There's already a counter that will count seconds off until the next item is live so I'd probably just chill in front of the computer within the last two minutes of the previous deal. Then, once the item you want goes live, just go for it. If you don't have 1-click purchasing set up yet, do that beforehand as it'll make everything that much easier since you basically click -> buy -> done with just 1 step.

How fast do you have to be to get the more attractive Amazon Lightning Deals? Is it like trying to get Radiohead tickets where they go on sale at 8:00:00 and are sold out at 8:00:01?

I don't have school or work for the next six days, and I can easily be at my computer when the tv deal comes up. Just need to know what I'm dealing with here.
Do we have any idea which day the TV deals show up? Or do we have to be diligent in checking early and hope we don't miss it? I know they have the "upcoming" for the day but I have a feeling it will be an early morning deal that I may miss.

Question regarding the Black Friday sale at Walmart. I'm gonna head down to Seattle Friday morning to do some Black Friday shopping (live in Vancouver, BC, imma Canadian!). What are the chances that I'll be able to find Forza Horizon and NBA 2K13 on the shelves still? I know the sale starts on Thursday night, 8pm... I will probably arrive at the Walmart around noon time 12pm on Friday. Slim chance?

Why don't you just hit up Bellingham? The lines probably won't be as bad and it's closer to you.

I'm working at target 6pm thursday to 230am
I wonder now that 8pm is the new 12am, how early we'll be coming in a couple years from now
black friday deals soon start 12:01 thursday morning?

I just dropped about $260 on blu-rays, but I got a pretty massive collection for that money.

"The Dark Knight Trilogy (Batman Begins / The Dark Knight / The Dark Knight Rises)$29.96
"Total Recall (Mind-Bending Edition) [Blu-ray]" $8.18
"Cloverfield [Blu-ray] $6.99
"The Thing (Kurt Russell) [Blu-ray]" $7.88
"Predator (Ultimate Hunter Edition) [Blu-ray]" $7.99
"Martin Scorsese Triple Feature (Goodfellas / The Aviator / The Departed) [Blu-ray]" $9.99
"Die Hard Collection (Die Hard / Die Hard 2: Die Harder / Die Hard with a Vengeance / Live Free or Die Hard) [Blu-ray]" $19.99
"Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Skynet Edition) [Blu-ray]" $5.00
"The Terminator [Blu-ray]" $7.27
"Marvel's The Avengers (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging)" $15.00
"Dawn of the Dead (2004 Unrated Director's Cut) [Blu-ray]" $7.99
"Alien Anthology [Blu-ray]" $19.99
"Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures [Blu-ray]" $37.98
"The Sapphire Collection (Braveheart/Gladiator/Saving Private Ryan) [Blu-ray]" $18.24
"Halloween [Blu-ray]" $5.84
"Inception (Two-Disc Edition) [Blu-ray]" $3.65
"Commando [Blu-ray]" $4.25
"A Nightmare on Elm Street [Blu-ray]" $3.29

Prior to this I barely owned any blu-rays. I wish I had seen that Lord of the Rings collection for $40, but I can probably scoop that on ebay for not much more at some point next year.

LOTR is $50 at Best Buy until tomorrow.

I'm still searching all the sales for more TV options as well. Aside from that Toshiba from earlier, not much. I want LED for the thin profile, 1080, and within the 32-inch range.

Well it wasn't yesterday, and it doesn't seem to be today. I'm hoping it'll be tomorrow, but I'm guessing it will happen on Thursday or Friday, probably at a weird hour, and it'll probably sell out in <1m.

Yeah, seems likely. I'm going to stop by best buy here and try to get an idea of when I'd need to get there in the event I can't snag it on amazon. That or I'll try to find another system with similar specs like megarock.

Amazon just posted a Coby 32'' LED tv for $147. I was checking the upcoming electronics deals all morning, and I don't remember seeing that. Unless I overlooked it somehow, that means that certain Lightning Deals get rolled out with very little warning. This makes the situation far more difficult, and makes the risk of missing one of the really good tv deals far more likely.

Who has the Indiana Jones collection for $38?

3rd party seller. No longer available.

I'm still looking for a deal on a Keurig. I even setup a Google Alert for "Keurig Black Friday" only thing I'm getting back is deals on the actual coffee.

I could really use your input and advice guys. I don't really want anything during black friday. In fact if I didn't have to leave the house, I would be happy. However my Mom really wants something available on black friday, and she's gonna be working, so she needs me to try and get it for her.

She's really interested in the laptop listed in the Wal-Mart ad at about $179. Pretty cool deal, and she's been needing a new laptop for a long time. I never go out on black friday, and the sale starts at 10pm. I don't know when I should get there, or how I should go about getting it. Plus, my Dad wants me to try to get one for him too, so I gotta leave there with 2 on my own. If I have to go to stupid wal-mart, when should I get there?

What I'd really prefer though, is there potential for a deal as good as this one or close to appear online somewhere? Or is there one that's going to be online that you guys might know about, because I'd much prefer to be at my computer than some stupid wal-mart

I saw that in upcoming deals this morning "This 32'' HDTV something something".

Saw a 39'' Insignia 1080p at Best Buy that was something like $250 or 300. Debated it, there were a ton in stock. Also heard last year people lined up at closing Wednesday night so if this Amazon deal doesn't work out I may be out of luck.

yo they sell shoes on black friday?

i always buy tech every year, i need new shoes this year

PM me any good deals on sneakers if you find anything.

Posting again. It's really helpful to check the main site out:

http://bfads.net/

But yeah, Sports Authority, Macy's, Kohl's and other stores are doing sales so you should be able to find some stuff. For dressier shoes, probably check out slickdeals.net or fatwallet.com and search for clothes.

Does anyone know if the full list of the $3.99 and $7.99 blu-rays best buy has having on black friday has leaked?

It shows like 10 for each but says over 100 to choose from.

Anyone have a tripp lite avbar6 surge protector? I'm thinking about picking one up for my parents. Their samsung hdtv always throws a fit when they use the mixer or microwave, drives my dad nuts.

edit: bought a can of brakleen lol. Just did my brakes a couple of weeks ago and had none left.

Guys, i want to buy some dumbbell bars and a pull-up bar from Amazon. Do most things go on sale during black Friday/cyber Monday or is it only specific things? I don't know if i should just buy them now.

Saturday.

Thanks

Guys, i want to buy some dumbbell bars and a pull-up bar from Amazon. Do most things go on sale during black Friday/cyber Monday or is it only specific things? I don't know if i should just buy them now.

Check the BF Sports and Outdoors page. I bought my dumbell sets last year's BF deals page. I'm sure there is a schedule page somewhere.
