It was my mouse. I use a garbage wireless mouse which caused some jitter when I aimed which totally looked like low framerate stuttering.

Had to turn mouse smoothing on and now the game looks as smooth as it really should.

Stupid me -.-

It's not your fault, it's MW3 PC. You're lucky it's just jitters.
 
I just really don't know about this game...
Modern Warfare 3 really killed my enjoyment Call of Duty.

I respect Treyarch for going back to the drawing board to try and balance the clusterfuck that COD has grown to be...
But this game really just looks so boring. The gameplay is the same, the art style is bleh, the graphics are the same.
Nothing, besides the competitive support, is exciting me about this product.

For the first time since Call of Duty 3, I'm not sure I want more COD.

The map design in that game is still easily the best out of any of the CODs. I think people hate on it because it didn't really improve on COD4 and used the overplayed WWII theme, but it's still the most fun. Maybe Blops 2 is going to be the game that Treyarch puts in a reskinned Castle...

I really loved the maps in that game. My friends just couldn't go back to playing with WW2 weapons so they mostly went back to COD4 after a couple of months.

WAW has the best maps of all of the games, no doubt about it. Black Ops and COD4 tie for a close 2nd.

This is crazy.

Weapon audio sounded awesome though, real meaty and not as -pew pew pew- as previous games.

I'm not calling you a liar but I always hear comments about that but when I play, it sounds pew pew. Lol. Lets hope they do sound intimidating though.

I really wonder how the recoil changes are going to affect shooting on the Wii U, if at all. With the wii remote and nunchuck in past CoD games you really didn't have to aim down your sights if you didn't want to and had a steady enough hand (big enough TV to see well). Do to pointer controls you could shoot from the hip pretty I believe in many situations because where you aim is independent from where you move.

Other than Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six, not very many shooters have been able to handle recoil properly.

That's what lead us to shit like Halo and Call of Duty. No fucking recoil, guns feel like shit, no kick, no bang. Unload a million fucking bullets in 2 seconds.

Has anyone who designed Call of Duty shot a fucking rifle before?

I cant say anything about CoD, but Halo isnt supposed to be realistic. Its in the area of Unreal, Doom, Quake, Timesplitters, Turok, etc.

I understand that. My intention was not that every game has to be Counter-Strike, but rather I can't personally enjoy playing a game with such a flagrant disregard for realism in a realistic setting. Specifically, Call of Duty. I probably shouldn't have dragged Halo in with this, that was my mistake.

It's the definition of an arcade shooter though. The no recoil has to do with the fact that it's primarily a console game and that players are expected to be constantly moving around

Well I'm sold.

know I'll get tons of hours out of it, and I'm liking what I'm hearing.

I really hope there's an option for having mute be the default for new people in your party (and starting party) - it's annoying to have to go down and mute everyone, or figure out who the asshats are and mute them. I'd also like to see an option to mute an entire party - it'd save time if 4 or 5 people entire your lobby in a party and you find them all annoying. Bam.

Rag doll physics would be great too. Even if they made things "unrealistic" I think bodies flying around would be awesome. =)

And probably, as always, I won't buy any map packs. If I get sick of the maps, play zombies for awhile - that looks like it's gonna be pretty awesome as well.

Looking forward to you guys digging up more videos. =)

Edit : that FPS General video didn't seem to have recoil at all, to me.

Always thought that the lessened recoil was a balance decision to compensate for the fact that dual analogs are nowhere near as precise as a mouse.

Scorestreak sounds good. Nothing more annoying that people caring about their precious killstreak in objective based modes.
 
The bigger game changer would be lowering the freaking aim assist a little.

Yea, like cut it in HALF, for starters.
CounterStrike-like recoil control would be a really sweet addition.

Definitely like the faster/slower running speed based off weapon.
Love pulling out the knife to rush at the beginning of a round.

But I also call BS - even with somewhat harder to control recoil, it doesn't matter much due to CoD's almost aimbot strength aim-assists.
 
If these changes are accurate...then I'm considering this Day 1. Only thing I don't like is the weapon-sprint relationship, which makes no sense.

Is it so wrong that I just hope for a CoD game that goes back to the CoD 4 formula? Simple kill streaks, simple perks, and not fearing everything is unbalanced. Not to say this doesn't look great because it does, i'm actually excited for it but deep down I just want a CoD game that gives me the fun and memories i experienced with CoD 4.

Where could I go to get a giant ass list of changes for this game to read?

I'm being pulled back in once again,even though I hated WaW and Black Ops 1. MW3 was solid, MW2 was good, but CoD4MW is where I became an addict to the CoD Formula.

I'm still sad no dedi servers for consoles with this iteration. Must be holding out for next generation to step it up in that regard.

ehh, Got roped into buying mw3, after that mess, I've sworn to myself no more COD. This does not interest me in the slightest.

MW1 was the only one that was any decent, IMHO.

It doesn't really matter for multiplayer, but graphically, doesn't it look a bit outdated..?

Considering it is one of the games that is going to rake in the most money, at least the PC version should look better than pretty much anything else.

It'll look good. Black Ops still looks great on PC if you crank it up, hell so does MW3. Yeah, it doesn't have super fancy particle FX or motion blur but it's very crisp.

From the clips in this thread, it seems to be alot of narrow corridors and close range encounters, when I was hoping for some more mid range openness to be mixed in. The thing I liked about all the CoD's from 4 to Black Ops was that the encounters were diverse, so I'm just hoping there is more to the maps than whats been shown in these clips posted up.

Are you kidding? So far from what Ive seen from BO2`s new classes and maps design, this game shits all over MW3, diarrhea style.

The boat map could easily fit into MW3. The class design allows you to requip whatever you want, but base on similar perks and weapons, not that big of a difference. I know I'll probably be running a similar setup with sub machine, anti UAV / air support / silence perks and stringer.
