The use of shadows in this movie are of legend.

One of the best looking movies I can think of.
Cinematographic perfection

I bought the Final Cut set when it was first released on Blu-ray -- this was back when I collected them, but I've since stopped because it's a waste of money in my case. I never got around to watching it, though, and still haven't used the discs.
Now you know why I stopped.

Anyways, it was on The Movie Network a couple of months ago, so I saved it and watched it upstairs where there's no Blu-ray player and I can eat popcorn.

It's a visually impressive movie and pretty good, but it's not great or incredible. I don't get the insane love.

The setting is unique and well done. That's the only reason worth watching, tbh. Ford's performance is absolute dog shit. Hauer is all right.

IMO, Blade Runner is one of those movies you have to 100% vested in. You can't chew gum, can't surf on your computer, can't check phone messages. Your eyes have to be on screen at all times or it will lose you. Same thing if you are watching Apocalypse Now, Chinatown or even The Godfather for the fist time. I don't know what it is about those movies but they seem to loose a lot of people if they are not being very attentive, unlike some other movies where you can be doing 5 other things at once and not miss much.

^This

The film was made to be watched in a cinema and at the very least demands that you give it your undivided attention for the duration.

It is a very ordinary movie propped up by phenomenal art style. Looks amazing and has an amazing soundtrack. The actual content is pretty boring. I can never stay awake when watching this movie.

If I can only ever get 1 film in 4K source, it is this.

I also don't get where's this "Boring" comments comes from. It's like saying you dislike Shadowrun: Dragonfall or Shadowrun: Hong Kong because there's too much reading.

Got the 30 anniversary release with all versions , this movie does not age and to enjoy it you need to put attention in details , the clothes , the light umbrellas, abandoned streets and populed ones. The story is no the big boss is the atmosphere ,the light and Vangelis's songs.

This is the kind of movie that you hope there is never a reboot , its fine as it is like 2001.
