Drive
- Pressing the D button will randomly select one among 6 types of equipment/modes for her staff. After selecting, various techniques corresponding to the staff mode can be used (with certain restrictions).
- The following staff mode is notified at the bottom through the symbol next to the word NEXT
- At the beginning of the match she doesn't carry any staff with her (probably meaning that you have to press D to make it appear)
- Everytime you push D with the equipped staff the number of times you can use the associated technique will decrease until the staff disappears becoming unequipped.
- Pressing the D button again once the staff has disappeared will make it appear again with the next type of equipment.

The type of magic equipment are:
- Bomb (6 times)
- Neko (5 times)
- Bin (4 times)
- Hammer (3 times)
- Missiles (3 times)
- Frying Pan (4 times)

Character's Features:
- Good speed, good airdash
- Her airdash covers a lot of range, giving her the possibility of comfortably attacking in the air without falling easily on the ground
- Since her attacks with her staff don't have a long reach, her special projectile moves do the job of covering long range fighting instead.
- Since her special moves are controlled randomly, she is a character that heavily depends on the situation she's in (TLnote: I guess it's referring to what power she has equipped, position, situation etc)

Special Moves
- Dream Sally (214A/B/C)
- Swallow Moon (j.236C)
- Mami Circular (236B)
- Air Persia (236A - also executable in air) - followups A/B/C (up to three times) - tramples down the opponent from above with her pogo stick; the followups change the landing place, while the C followup is an aerial ender that earns more damage and okizeme.
- Dramatic Sammy (41236D) - command grab: searches for the opponent while ground-dashing; grabs and imprisons the opponent inside a "heart" and blows it off. 1500 Damage.
- Mystique Momo (214D, when weapons are equipped)
- Foreign Melody (22C on knocked down opponent); it might be possible to push the opponent towards the corner from the slide down

Distortion Drives
- Miracle Jeanne (236236D)- install super, the staff is equipped with "enhanched magic", can only be used once and when it wears off the staff is unequipped
- Cure Dot Typhoon (632146C)

Astral Heat
- 236236C (looks like Nanoha's Starlight Breaker)

If you guys are doing a tournament, you should give me a month so my Lambada isn't "deer in the headlights" and beaten badly for people to laugh at on Youtube. D:

Of course, I'll still lose. *sigh*

I'll do it if you guys need players/spaces filled. But I don't expect I'm much competition for Q and Prototype and the rest of you guys. :lol

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
I wish the Tager didn't mash out that magna tech wheel and saved it for a 720 during that. Hazama's grab still beats it, so it would be 10x funnier. :lol

If by some act of god I get one of those 1 month free codes from gamestop, I'll be down too. :lol

I'll probably on later tonight too, but damn.

I... well... :/

Don't believe the hype!

Shit ain't exclusive, no reason to blow money on something that costs more and does the same damned thing.
Including dying badly, as a former PSX3 owner who had two RLoD.

I'm not going to grab a new console just to play a game that I already have :lol

Hope EuroGAF hops on soon and livens things up. I'll run a few games of BB:CS real quick though... I can only play tired for so long before I forget how to dash.

Have you guys tried playing Europeans? I don't see it being playable. I've tried Americans from Australia and it makes me want to cry.

Is Platinum the new Faust? She looks like a sick troll character either way, might have to main, Ragna is losing his charms.

I should be there and my cousin will come if I will. It needs to be around 9PM EST or later, but it seems like most of us prefer to play at night anyway.

What was that loop?
Hazama has a zero damage command grab (236+C) but the Tager dude kept getting throw reject miss or trying to counter with 360s which lose to it, resulting in throw counter. That's the only reason the Haz player kept getting them successively.

Oh. It has higher priority than Tager's. That's good to know.

Oh, guess I can join you two and have my face beat in while hoping you guys change characters so I can have the "played against all characters" online trophy.

Speaking of trophies: "Real Ultimate Power" isn't unlocking for me, despite the fact I've used EVERY (literally, EVERY, even the DLC ones) Astral Heats. WTF. :|

Is it because I'm using Beginner Mode and/or Unlimited (for faster heat gain than limited) modes for them? Because that's bullshit, I used beginner mode and got Bang's 3 Astral Heat's trophy that way. So it should be working. :|

OMG I won a round, with Taokaka. Then proceeded to lose. But I won a round. ZOMG.

Seems we can't get games going unless Prototype is hosting and I have a bad/1 connection to him. *sigh*

Someone needs to pick Tao so I can check her off the "played against online" since NO ONE flipping uses her online. :lol

SolarPowered and I are on. Get on XBL people!

I'm one step above training dummy after not playing this game for two months. Prior to this I was just two steps above training dummy. :lol

I'm pretty sure you are doing this in vs already, correct? Just do it again in vs. I don't have any other clue why it doesn't work. Mu and dlc characters don't count.

Wow, looks like folks on XBL passed on Valkenhayn. Not enough underboob / loli to be found? :lol

thank god someone else showed up. My wrist needs a break from fighting Blazin.

To my knowledge, Valkenhayn isn't out yet for xbl. I don't even think xbox version got patch 1.02 yet.

Yeah, I did it again. Went with version 1.00 of the game, started clockwise from Trollzama. Made it pop at Ragna. *shrug* Just glad to have it.

Now if I could get a variety of people online to versus with on GAF so I had the "played against everyone online," I'd only have 99 wins in player matches, and 99 rounds in ranked for online trophies left. :lol

Valk isn't out on 360 since Arc found a hardware locking bug with him and Ragna in training mode in 1.02 on PS3 when they released it in Japan.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

The game didn't ask me to patch, but no Valkenhayn is bullcrap.

After google, at least there's a reason:

The official BlazBlue website has some new information on the patch that will be coming alongside the Valkenhayn DLC character. While the Werewolf butler will still become available tomorrow on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 owners will have to wait an undisclosed period of time due to a reported glitch when loading the patch on the console. I'm sure they will make the patch and character available as soon as possible, so you shouldn't have to wait long.

:(

Sorry Solar, my "to hell with blocking" is less about, SHUT UP DAD! YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

And more of a "how do I get this pitbull off of my face?" :p

I'm a 50/50 kind of guy.

GGs TTOB. You'll be fine if learn when to grab an opportunity. You looked especially good when you were fighting that unlimited Jin and kept catching him in blocked 360 grabs and decent striking combos.

How was I?

Exacting precision as always.

I noticed you employed some new shenanigans.

I was hoping you were out of practice like me. Whoops! :lol :lol :lol

GGs last night proto, Q, and Seks. It was nice knocking the rust off for a bit.

Q, great Mak as always. I'm kind of astounded you hit some of the stuff you do with online being a factor.
Proto, I love your Valkenhayn. Really makes me want to download the character. He can do some mean shit! <3 Tsubaki too. Ragna makes me rage though
Seks, I think you're better than you give yourself credit for. You would gain alot by working on knowing when to ease off aggression. I noticed when I blocked a flurry of moves, I could use the gaps in attacks to land counter hits, which could potentially lead to massive damage (if I were better lol).

Yeah, I've been playing around with poison needles and I've been trying to improve the rush down stuff. My mixups haven't improved much, but I've got time to work on that.

You've just got to learn to watch for the right moment. It seems like you are getting the hang of it though. You caught me in a unusual amount of 360 grabs last night.

ggs... Really nice to know that BB community is starting to grow again. It was dead for a while. And yes... Seks, the main problem that you have right now is that you're not teching some of the blue combos and you're attacking when you should be blocking. Remember that if your opponent guesses correctly on your wake up, you're usually at a disadvantage, so it's better to block and wait for an opening (I know this can be hard with all the mixups, but it's the better option than getting hit). Also, Lambda has that ridiculous DP... There's a reason why it has a cooldown for that movie. It's really REALLY good.

On a related good news, PS3 is about 6 people short from having a legit tourney:

GAF - PSN
Prototype-03 - Prototype-03

Your newer high, high, high, low combo was putting me off. Eventually I started getting wise to it. :p

It's tough to tell what hits high and low these days. In a fast past game like this, it's even worse for me. Just gonna take 10,000 hours to get it right.

Also had some severe mental misfires last night. It's been so long that after I rebooted the system to reset the stick to controller 1, I forgot I use the DABC layout. So I kept hitting D instead of A. Then I had to remember the command input for grabs. Ay carumba!

I think I've shaken most of the rust off thank goodness.

Lambada gets a faster 4B knock-up with shorter recovery (IIRC) but gets knocked back on 5DDDDDDD now, so no more loops against stupid people with that. :(

I really hate the GameFAQs kids that are all "LOL LAMBADA IS EASY TO PLAY!" Sure, in commands, but in actual gameplay? No, not really.

That said, if the changes aren't that good, there is always resetting the game back to 1.00-1.xx before it shifts (see what I did there?) to 2.00

Well, that, and defense and getting out of those huge massive damage combos (see: Me vs Q or Prototype, but most Q)

Yeah, defense has always been terrible for me. I go all out attacking mostly because I played Marvel vs Capcom 2 (or hell X-men vs SF) like that. :lol got me wins, but it didn't teach me proper fighting mechanics too well.

You mean that distro phase opening up on the field to where she slows down people/projectiles? I haven't really see a good use for that move. Or are you talking something else? (goes to look up "DP" and not in the Pokemon or Porn way)

Yes, her gravity move.

Gravity Well is nasty. Takes a whole practice session devoted to it before you really get a grasp though.

My biggest problem with Lambda is still gambling way too much. If I ever touch a corner, I always go through the same idiotic progression of block well for about 2 seconds then fail, tech well > are you out the corner? if yes - win, if no lol back in the corner - now with more meter! Block well for another two seconds, hopefully guess correctly then gravity well. Win on hit OR massive fail, now I need 1080p to see my remaining life. Last ditch effort, block well again go for 100% Meter combo off of DD. Again, win via amazing play or fail for being an idiot.

How to avoid this? Block the first overhead instead of trying to beat all jump in attacks with 2c like a clown.

BBCS is still an offensive oriented game but doesn't skip out on the defensive end if you need to be. You have your regular block, green barrier, counter assault and burst. Just don't get too trigger happy and be patient when you need to be.

Yes, the DP is the ground field. Try using it as a DP when people are jumping in and attacking you (use the closest one in that occasion) and they should get hit, float and give you plenty of time to start any combo you desire. Try it out in training mode.
