Ah. Thought it was already out, but then I remembered seeing it on an upcoming release list recently and I didn't know it was a sequel.

Looks like it has huge character sprites which is cool. Other than that I can't really tell what it's like.

Hopefully Heat the Soul 2 is a lot better than the first one.

and the Bleach milking has started seems the series is pretty popular in Japan right now

I have no clue why it isn't licensed yet for America. It is perfect for the american audience and I swore once Naruto was picked up this series wouldn't be far behind.

Indeed the first Bleach Heat the Soul wasn't too good, mainly for extreme lack of characters but the sequel I have seen pics of many captains so it should be tons better.

looks like it is gonna be a side scrolling slash-em-up, might be fun, but yeah the capitalizing on this anime is starting, surprised it took so long.

Perfect? Really? It seems awfully bloody for a show that's aimed for young teenagers. Just think about how much One Piece was edited (the anime atleast) and how much more "raw" Bleach is.

How do you figure it's aimed at young teenagers? I mean they generally like this type of programming but so does 20 somethings. I see it fitting in perfect on an Adult Swim spot with FMA and Samurai Champloo.

Is this one of those animes that just keeps fucking trudging along like shitty DBZ or Inuyasha? I'm up to episode 30 and I know it's up to like 42 so far, but if they don't plan on ending it anytime soon I'm going to stop now. It's already getting old. Is the manga finished?

FMA is 51 episodes and its 51 episodes of awesomeness.

getting old? the anime right now is in the best arc yet so I don't undertstand what you are saying, if you has seen up to episode 30 and didn't like it then the series is not for you simple as that. and no the manga hasn't finished I think right now the manga is setting up the next arc.

I was late to that party and YES FMA rocks hard I love it, one of the best series I've seen.

you aren't even that far into the Soul Society arc. it gets better and better, by 40 you'll never want it to end.

Looks more like a 2D fighting game to me

I really dislike the fight scenes. The antagonists get into a position where the kids can be killed and they just talk and talk until someone shows up to save them right at the last minute. That's so God damn cliche. Everytime Ichigo fights someone the bad guys are like, "You're so powerful! How can this be?". Every single fight. That shit needs to get dropped, it's just filler. I like the story and characters, but it's not something I can see myself watching for another 12 episodes if this shit keeps up.

if you don't like the fight scenes wtf are you even watching Bleach for :lol I would just stop now then, you will only be more disappointed in future episodes

Don't worry, Bleach will get picked up soon enough. The Viz manga seems to be pretty popular these days. After Naruto settles in for awhile, we'll get hit with a North American Bleach debut.

I would agree that Bleach would lean towards the young teenager group. Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop were shows with a bit more depth, more mature themes, and totally different pacing. I love Bleach (I was watching Episode 43 a few hours ago), but it's far from being considered a mature show.

I can't imagine Bleach doing well with 20 somethings, it lacks a sense of reality. To use the SC and CB example again, those are shows where people actually died. Everyone in Bleach (like DBZ) is pretty much invincible. They will train, get stronger, meet an even stronger foe, train again, and then defeat said foe. Those type of shows rarely go over well with older audiences.

I enjoy watching and reading Bleach, but I'm not even going to try to argue the show isn't cliche.

Well, that's the problem with these kinds of series. If they didn't grow stronger when they meet someone who beats themÂ… the series would end very quickly.
Besides the fighting, Bleach is also fun because of the twisted political corruption :p

Bleach roxorz

Well correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't Bleach in the the Weekly Shounen magazine in Japan? Shounen = Mostly read by young teenagers.
I love (some of) the stuff but I'm just afraid of the butchering that goes on especially if 4Kids gets their hands on this.

a lot of actions anime are like that, bad guy overpowers good guy, good guy then discover some hidden power good guy then win the battle, sure is cliched but I like the way Bleach handles all this and I like how Ichigo is a show off bastard ^_^

and I think the battles in bleach are done very well you haven't seen the Renji and Ichigo fight yet seeing as you are in episode 30 and not only that wait till the Ichigo and Kenpachi one. in short you haven't seen a real battle yet so I don't know why you are saying the fights in bleach are shitty.

This looks pretty good.

With that said, as far as offtopic goes, I also am not that interested in Bleach itself. The lack of characters dying really takes away from a lot of the suspence in the series.

Naruto > Bleach :P

Actually manga wise they both have gone way down hill IMO. Naruto anime wise is floundering a bit too. Bleach will stay good till they get to where they are in the Manga.

And I make the teenage comment about Bleach because, well, me and most of my friends are twenty somethings that watch it. I used to watch DBZ when I was younger and I have no hate for it whatesoever. Now my friends can't stand it but strangely they like Bleach and Naruto and I am constantly drawing comparisons. I think it's the updated art and graphics, the more compelling and down to earth (well, as much as can be for anime) storylines and better character development.

The next question is....when the hell will their be a Yakitate game for the DS. It's like a match made in heaven.

Dammnit people...Look you have a damn touch screen use the damn thing and think about your games. Let's see, funny anime show about making bread....touch screen....DING DING DING! Bake offs! Picking ingredients, adding them, mixing them, kneading dough, cutting dough, shaping dough and then baking. Various other funny things could be done, like dress up with yukino.

It's aimed at younger kids and the anime/otaku crowd, of which there is a considerable population. The most recent estimate being around 2.8 million people. And most of those are older viewers.

You're almost contradicting yourself, what is your point?

There's no contradiction. The point is, it's not meant for 20 somethings generally. Lots of people in Japan don't care for anime, especially older people.

I'm simply pointing out it is universally aimed at the younger audience, but has selective popularity with the otaku/anime crowd in Japan, which is sitll a considerable number of people at 2.8 million based on the last set of numbers I've seen.

Did I hurt your feelings for calling you an otaku?

Oh, hell no. DBZ and Inuyasha are in a league of their own when it comes to filler shit.

And Bleach is a great anime. One that needs to be taken over here, stat.

No, cause you said it was aimed at a younger crowd in Japan yet said it was watched by anime/otaku and who was majority older viewers.

And that was in response to my question of how it was figured this was aimed at a younger audience. Hence wondering what your point was since it sounds like your saying its aimed at a younger audience but the majority of viewers are older.

The game wasn't that bad. It would have worked out much better if they waited until the current arc in the anime was going on to release the game (and then could have had more than like 7 characters). It's an entertaining little anime fighting game. Yeah, it's shallow but for fans of the anime, it's worth playing a little bit just for the unlockables. I fully believe the sequel will be much better, considering they have so many more characters to work with and Eighting has a history of making their anime sequels much better than the original (see naruto gc vs naruto gc 2 :P)
