Bleach fo DS announced

The PSP game wasn't that bad, just needed more content. Like more than 6 playable characters for one thing. I think alot of that will be addressed with the sequel.

Release Date: 26 January 2006?

Damn, I remember Yu Yu Hakusho on the Mega Drive. That was some awesome 4 player fun; probably my favourite fighter of the 16-bit generation. If this turns out to be even half as fun as YYH, I'll be all over it. Don't let us down, Sega!

Obviously the DS's true 2d capabilities have been severely neglected thus far. Leave it to Treasure to bring us something that finally makes us go, Wow.

Hot! Hopefully SEGA brings it westward too.

Also, Sega actually announced Bleach DS almost a year ago. Suppossedly there's a Bleach game still coming to GameCube from them as well.

Guilty Gear was unveiled a few months ago and looks good as well.

Yeah, both Arc System Works and Treasure seem to be getting pretty decent results over GBA (even though GG uses slightly upgraded GBA sprites). We need to see more high powered 2D though... hopefully SNK Playmore signs on soon. I'd like to see Cardfighters Clash 2 and Metal Slug DS. :)

Looks pretty good, is it a fighting game then? The guilty gear game looks like a good comparison or Jump Stars style. At first glance I thought it was done Guardian Heroes style and my heart skipped a beat :lol

Fucking Awesome.

Here are the first details fo the game:

The DS version of Bleach, fully titled Bleach: Souten ni Kakeru Unmei, is a true 2D fighting game that Treasure promises fans will love even if they aren't into the Bleach show. The game features two fighting planes, but aside from this gameplay details are unknown. Players will be able to take part in four player matches via wireless and single cart wireless play.
This latest version of Bleach marks Sega's second adaptation of the series. The first was recently released in Japan for the Game Boy Advance under the name Bleach Advance: Kurenai ni Somaru Soul Society. The DS title will see Japanese release in January of 2006.

Hmm, Treasure, eh? I'm a little cautious because their licensed stuff can be ropey at times, and I wasn't a big fan of Guardian Heroes either, but I'll stay tuned and see how this pans out.

Hopefully those are just shots of the multiplayer mode, and single player is Guardian Heroes side scrolling goodness with those size sprites. Bleach would be perfect for the kind of crazy amounts of sprite enemies on screen ranging from Hollows to legions of Death Gods.

Otherwise it looks a bit generic currently, and thats coming from a Treasure fanatic and a Bleach fan.

Of course it looks generic.....and we all know why....

When will we see more Guilty Gear DS?
It looks absolutely amazing. I wish JSS looked that good.

Yeah, the backrounds in Jump! Super Stars could look a bit more detailed, as well as the platforms. I'm just glad it looks better in motion.

I still have to import. :(

Is it really that big of a shock that a game based on a generic manga might look a bit, generic?
