Ol' Gek has shown Forza some love though.

Well, no there isn't any cockpit visible of course, but I play with the "inside car" camera.Gregory said:Is there even a cockpit view in PGR2 ? RSC2 has the best cockpit view I`ve seen so far actually, together with World Racing and Toca 2.
The Experiment said:I doubt this will be 60 fps. Maybe 40-50 fps.
Blimblim said:The cockpit view in PGR3 seemed (I've seen it for like 5 seconds) to be non obtrusive, something like 10% of the bottom of the image was lost for the beginning of the cockpit. I think if you want to watch your dashboard you'd have to lower the "freelook" camera.
Of course this was just a glimpse of a very in progress version of the game so I don't pretend it will be like this in the final build.
Stinkles said:And Gek never makes crazed claims about frame rates of games that aren't finished.

Mc Nappy said:didn't you think the blur effect was a bit too much in this build? I've also had the opportunity to attend one of these presentations, and it kinda annoyed me that the blur effect kicked in way too soon, even when he just started accelerating. It was impossible this way to see how nice the buildings actually look (at least, i suppose they look nice, given the screens of them released in the past). When I asked about it he told me the blur effect was still not finalised, but I hope they don't overdo it ...
Nick mentionned that the motion blur was overdone in this build and that they had already turned it down quite a lot. I think it was a very interesting demonstration of how things would look at very high speed, and of course if it was like it was today for every speeds, then it would get annoying really really fast.Mc Nappy said:didn't you think the blur effect was a bit too much in this build? Did you stop reading my impressions after the FPS comment?Gregory said:Shit, motion blur ? Like in the Xbox Moto GP games? Argh.

I know, I know :/op_ivy said:are you familiar with this guys posting history? leave him be![]()
Blimblim said:Did you stop reading my impressions after the FPS comment?
Then basically, you suck. Honestly. Truthfully. How can you stop reading something just because a debug build, running on non finalised hardware, runs slowly?Gregory said:Basically yes. The framerate is all I care about with this game. 60fps or bust.
Gregory said:Wow. You werent around before Forza came out I presume ? He trolled the 30fps more than anyone.
BTW, what about your claim that PGR3 will have a lovely framerate? 30 or 60fps?
Now, what is it ?
Stinkles said:And Blim is right. I'm sure you're a great guy, but in this forum, you are King of Suck.
Seriously? He wasn't joking?sangreal said:This kid likes Uwe Boll movies. How can anyone take his opinion seriously?
What do I say to that? Well, looking around the office right now there are plenty of dev kits running WAY above 15fps.The article you mention does state that this was on an old dev kit, running an old build.
Bah, I hope I won't get yet another email from MS or Bizarre about something I did or wrotesangreal said:Bizarre responded to your impressions in the coments to their update:

op_ivy said:as someone else who saw a pgr3 presentation, do you have any more tidbits to add? i'm dying for any info i can glean from these types of reports...
That bastard Nick did not mention that to us. I hate him nowMc Nappy said:Well, I can't add much more to Blim's impressions, it was after all not that long the presentation itselfOne small detail perhaps: as blim already said, the interior is extremely detailed (that one shot was awesome!), and when you are driving at night, you will see the interior change, some small interior lights for example that are switched on etc. Everything that is in the car in real life, is in the game version as well, fully functioning. Sounds cool I think.
Are you supposed to report the truth or whatever MS and co tell you to post?Blimblim said:Bah, I hope I won't get yet another email from MS or Bizarre about something I did or wrote![]()
Blimblim said:That bastard Nick did not mention that to us. I hate him now. Did he mention something about the weather system? We still don't know anything about it (if it exists) and I completely forgot to ask...
I get Emails like this when I say something I'm not supposed to say, or say something that's simply inacurate. Never once have I been asked to lie about something, I would never have complied anyway.Rorschach said:Are you supposed to report the truth or whatever MS and co tell you to post?

Nope, that's the first time it's been mentioned.sangreal said:Did they confirm night driving before? This is good news

These guys say so.

quin said:did you miss the part where Blim says its an old build running on the oldest beta kit?
Gregory said:You haven`t seen Bloodrayne so you`re not qualified to bash it. Kinda like I supposedly shouldn`t bash the framerate of an unfinished PGR3. Maybe you`re confused too.
Stinkles said:You can't win, because you just inadvertently compared Seven Samurai to Bloodrayne. Now, if you can find another person on this forum who thinks you are right, bring him back here and we'll discuss.
Gregory said:Well, can`t do that until Bloodrayne is released. I`ll get back to you.
AB 101 said:Why show it then?
Bizzares sexy screens on their site are fine and dandy, just as long as there backed up with at least a solid 30 FPS.
A solid 30 FPS would be fine with me. This is 1st gen. stuff.
Stinkles said:Excellent point. There's a good chance Bloodrayne could be as good as Seven Samurai. I will reserve judgement.
Let me state first that this was a rather old build, running on the oldest version of the black beta kits.
Nope. Not good enough. I expected a lot of 60 fps out of the gate last gen, and I expect MORE this time.A solid 30 FPS would be fine with me. This is 1st gen. stuff.
Gregory said:So what was with that trailer running at 60fps ?
