Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

I don't know where I'm at in the game, I'm guessing I'm mid-to-late game?

SHIT IS SCARY. Everywhere I go there's these hellish monsters. :(
 
I skimmed over everything in this thread to avoid spoilers. But, I feel I'm still very early in the game.

I was fighting my third boss encounter, the starved beast. And I ran behind the statue thingie in the back of the church, and he followed, and as he attacked he went into the damn wall. After about 60 seconds, he died. He beat me several times before, so while I wish I could have beat him liegitammily, I am not sad he glitched to boss heaven on me.
Has this happened to anyone else?

1. No, but there's a convenient shortcut you can open up that makes it easier to get to him.

2. Last bonfire, if I remember correctly. I died while helping someone against Father G and I'm pretty sure I respawned in the graveyard and not out in the main area where I rang the bell.
 
Finally beat Father G. To be happy is an understatement. Dreams do come true.

Yeah got that shortcut

and that sucks... why did they do that? Doesn't make me want to help, then I go all the way back.

There's an elevator you can take right before the long bridge where large fire boulder. From the bridge lamp just run through the house, down to where the 2 hulks are patrolling, then through the elevator.
 
Help!

I have some weird ass status effect on me that drains my HP and doesn't allow me to use the bell; the icon is kinda greenish and has an downwards arrow. WTF?

There should be a shortcut. Remember where you encountered the two brute forces? There is an elevator that will bring you to the bridge, where you have to dodge a fire ball. Move across the bridge, up the stairs and there you go,
 
So I went exploring and found a creepy room with a door that
lifted me up into the center of the room and exploded me
when I tried to open it. I... guess I shouldn't go there yet? So much for those 25000 souls.

Yes. You'll ge drowning in blood shards by mid game.

This boss is awful and I've run out of blood vials for the first time in the game. Holy shit I wish they recharged kike estus charges. Now I see why some people hate the system.

Died about 10 times so far on him. I just cant do it. First boss ive gotten legit stuck on.

Doesnt help that I keep getting one shotted

solo second try after running in and dying like an idiot the first time. Fairly easy.

Anybody know if there are items from chopping body parts? I assume not, seeing as no enemy even drops weapons.

Father G
:
His first form is easy to counter. When I did, I quickly followed up with a charged R2 swing which hit him most of the time. His second is a little harder to counter but still doable if you spam enough. When he transforms, I played the music box (description mentioned him so I figured it was relevant) which stunned him for a while, then one more stun for the kill. Even without the music box a counter takes a huge chunk of his health when he's transformed.

So far, 12 bosses in. I found that one to be the easiest of them all. I died way more on F.G than that one, think i died 2times there.
 
I hadn't even fought the first boss when I stumbled upon Father G and had to fight him. I almost killed him, he was less than 200 HP away from death, but he somehow cornered me and I couldn't recover my health in time.
I don't know if it's good or bad that my starter-level girl almost killed the second boss without breaking a sweat.

Yeah, I don't know why I did that either. Perhaps it's to encourage people that are helping to beat the boss themselves first? I usually do that anyway, though, I don't want to be a rookie going in and screwing up a boss for somebody using their Insight, heh.
