this is blowing my ming that G is so hard for people I BEAT HIM ON MY SECOND TRY AND HE DIDN'T GET TO his third form.

Its weird, but cool how it works. I struggled SUPER HARD with CB, but people breezed him. I beat Papa G on my second try and people think he's the hardest so far. Its amazing how these games work.

Question about an npc side quest.
For Eileen the Crow where do I have to meet her to continue the quest line? I really want the armor set and I just helped her kill a hunter near Father G boss area. Where do I need to look for her now?

About the little girl sidequest.
Been trying to figure out if there is a way to get a happy ending in this sidequest but the more research I do the more it seems likely that it is just supposed to end in a family tragedy.

1) Sending her to the clinic might as well be an instant death. Giving her the brooch or sending her to the cathedral leads to her disappearing I think.

2) After sending her away, you go kill the giant pig and it drops a bloody red ribbon implying that it killed the girl.

3) Going back to the same window where you first talked to the little girl results in her older sister asking about the younger sister's whereabouts and if you present the red ribbon she goes mad.

4) If you reset the world and go to the ladder next to the place the sisters were staying at you will see the older sister's corpse (presuming she killed herself) and you can pick up a white ribbon.

I still haven't even approached step 1 yet since I'm not sure if there is another alternative but if this is the correct steps to this sidequest it is quite depressing. Mother was killed, you kill the father, the little girl gets eaten by the pig and the older sister kills herself.

Has anyone had any success with co-op? I'm in front of and have been in front of Father G, and never been summoned.

Exactly my problem. I've never been summoned :(

Someone here suggested I put in the GAF password. I might just do that if the game continues to refuse to match me with someone.

Is it just me or do all the armours/clothes in this game have terrible stats? I'm yet to swap out the set I bought from the vendor in the Hunter's Dream and I just beat the 4th boss
Vicar Amelia
. I've acquired new sets, and bought a couple too in hopes that something better shows up, but they all just have tradeoffs (worse physical defence and frenzy resistance but better blood defence is not tempting). Also sucks that you can't compare stats before purchasing items :/

have you gone to the insight vendor?

beat the nightmare frontier boss finally, and of course I get nothing good. I did get a chalice, which is used to do chalice dungeons to fight your way towards absolutely no loot or gear or anything fun or useful.

That is not how the game works. The faster people realise this the better. You are unlocking the option to buy the items in the store when you kill bosses most of the time, not the items themselves. I've been thinking abut and i actually like it. It helps with farming for example. For example, killing the gatling gun guy unlocks the speargun thing and the stake driver in the store. In the old days, he would drop one or the other. Or for example if he had a tail and you missed it you wouldn't get either.

I think that's true throughout. No set is 100% better than the rest. Just change armor depending on boss - use fire resist set for fire bosses, physical set for physical bosses.

I just did what you did.
As far as I know, you do have to meet her in a new location to continue her quest line. I don't know where it will be though, I haven't progressed that far. But buy the armor of the guy you helped her kill. It's at the insight merchant.

well, yeah, but you know what I mean. I have done several chalice bosses, and they can be pretty grueling, and you want to think maybe you get a cool piece of attire or maybe even a weapon sometimes, but you never do.

I've only done a couple of them but so far the bigger issue with chalice dungeons is that they're kind of bland and not that interesting. A lot of "Pull switch to open door, beat boss" dungeon 101 stuff. Maybe they get better at higher difficulties.

I used Worldwide and the GAF password to play with some guys here. No issues earlier tonight. No lag either which was nice.

I tried it once without a password and played with a random as well. Worked for me.

Fuck, I knew it had no way to be happy.

I'm beginning to regret going Strength and using the greatsword. Enemies in later levels are too fast, especially bosses, and using it as the longsword doesn't stun enemies. I realized I was having better luck with just using the sparky mace, and it doesn't even have scaling.

And here I thought
"give her the brooch" was the one and only outcome of the quest. Whatever was I thinking, expecting a Souls game sidequest to be that simple? :P

I finally got into the souls-zone last night. I reached
Old Yharnam
and after dying once to the
guy with the gatling gun
I made my way through to the shortcut (
the tower with the circular staircase
) and back to the starting lamp without a single death. This is when I find these games to be at their best, it's a really intense feeling when you know from the way the games are designed that there's either a shortcut or a lamp any time soon and you want to keep going just far enough to find it.

Can't wait to get back to the game tonight.

Thanks, I'll double check to make sure I'm on Worldwide. I dunno why it didn't work for me, but to the fair today was the first time I got to try it.

So I've been able to play this game for a while yesterday. As for my progress and (lack) of skill, I'm level 22, and I still have not beaten the first boss. I keep dying, but I still feel like I'm making some progress, and I'm having a blast.

I have no clue about the stats-building, but seeing how I need better defence, and I'd like a bit better attack also, I've poured everything into skill.

Yeah, I purchased a few items from him, but again, tradeoffs :/

Fair enough. I wish there were some objectively better things though, otherwise I feel I'll just rock what I have currently most of the time.

Got the game earlier tonight, probably put in 3-4 hours so far mostly exploring. First boss down, took 3 tries.

Dunno if I like the cleaver or not.

GOD DAMMIT. This didnt work either. Is it because I have 51 Insight?!?! WHY IS THIS FIGHT SO FUCKING HARD.

kill the first wave of spiders. Buff your weapon with fire then go HAM on the boss until he disappears. Then just dash in, smash his ass up and dash out, ignoring the other spiders. Insight doesn't change anything that I could tell. I did it with 41 insight.

I think I just had perhaps the greatest NPC fight ever in a game. Holy fuck it was like fighting a real person. Amazing!

The moon is out now and I really must say this may be the most gorgeous game ever made. LOOKS SO GOOD! The art direction is other worldly. It's ridiculous

I just did what you did.

Oh shit, thank you for reminding me about that. I would have kept on going without grabbing the armor haha. I'm just hoping she isn't easy to accidentally skip later on.

Kirkhammer sword is solid

Can I somehow download the Bloodborne OST from the PS4 to PC, so that I can listen to it on my mobile device?

Yes, just download the soundtrack from the store to your PS4, open the downloaded soundtrack app, plug in a compatible USB stick, click Options and you should see something like "copy soundtrack list".

I did it too. You'll get MP3 files at 320kbyte/s.

Am I crazy or does this game have longish 'action queue'? What I mean by that is for example when I try to dodge in panic and press the button twice rapidly. Character does two dodge moves and the second one feels laggy, because the button press was not done in that instant.

Otherwise loving this game :)

This fucking CUNT that was fighting Eileen is IMPOSSIBLE.

Shu just retweeted a GameSpot article talking about looking into patching Bloodborne for faster load times. That's probably a good thing.

okay so where should I go after beating the third boss? I bought the hunter chief emblem but haven't opened the gate yet. I also have 3 paths open after dropping down the area through the right to the lamp at the cathedral ward.

Why am I doing absolutely NO damage to VA? Tried Kurk and Axe + 3

She has a lot of HP. You can Visceral her. And she takes extra dmg from fire. if you can get behind her and cut up her legs she'll stumble and be open to a visceral. When she's healing get in her face and fully charge R2 on her. She's not hard once you get a feel for it.
